Edward’s escape

Ed came to, after a long slumber. He opened his eyes, ready to plan his escape, but all he could see was darkness - pitch black. He rubbed his eyes and opened them again. Still dark. Ed began to panic. He thought that he'd gone blind.

"Hey! Anyone there?!" Ed screamed into the void.

It echoed back with no response.

Panicked and confused. The only light in the dark was the system's incoherent message and before he could utter his confusion -

he began falling.

He was falling for what felt like an eternity.

Falling endlessly into a void.

He loses consciousness.
