Denzel kept striding forward without turning to look behind him.
He felt uncomfortable knowing who was watching him, and when he had it, he changed his mind.
"Ted, I am sorry... I would let you in on this later." Denzel stopped, took a quick look around him, searching for the nearest place he could transform without him being noticed.
After looking around him, he saw a building, almost uncompleted, it was a little far away from him.
He strolled towards it slowly, still looking around it for the number of people that were there, he confirmed that it was safe, and his speed increased immediately.
When Denzel got there, the place was more desolate than he thought, there were not even security cameras around it.
He began to transform to his Eagle form, and as he did, he felt a very bizarre atmosphere around him.
'Denzel...' Were the words that sounded in his head, he looked around to see if there was anyone around him calling him.
When he saw no one, he ignored it. 'Maybe I am just imagining things.' He thought as he was almost done transforming.
On the other side, Owl took his eyes of Denzel while he was still walking towards the uncompleted building.
Looking back, Owl saw that he had lost Denzel.
'Where has he gone to?' The Owl's eyesight began to change from an Owl's own to a human own. That was the only way he could see clearly during the day.
Suddenly, while Owl was still looking for his target, he saw an Eagle burst out from nowhere.
No one had to tell Owl what to do before he began to fly away. Denzel followed him, trying to match up the surprisingly fast speed of the Owl.
An Owl was normally meant to be less fast than an Eagle so it baffled Denzel. But after giving it little thought, Denzel concluded that it could have been because of his limited use of his Beast form.
Soon, Owl began to glide, landing as slow as he could to avoid getting lots of attention to himself.
As he landed, Denzel noticed the reduction in his size and wondered why. He didn't know what to do, so he followed, transforming back even before he landed.
Owl also transformed, and even faster than Denzel did, but Denzel noticed something really strange, the fact that Owl still had his clothes on when he transformed back to his human form.
"What the hell is going on?" Denzel said looking at his almost exposed body. The only thing he had on him was a tattered trouser that had lost its size.
Denzel began to hear the noises of people coming towards where he was, he didn't want to take a chance, they would think he is insane, and they might also want to notify the police.
He knew he had to lurk somewhere, but looking around him, he knew there was no place for him to hide.
"Catch this", Denzel heard a soft voice and turned around. What welcomed him was a blanket that flew right to him. He caught it, immediately using it to wrap his whole body.
"Thank you," Denzel said to Owl, for the blanket that was passed right to him.
"Can we talk somewhere else?"
"I can't move around this way, let's just discuss right here," Denzel replied Owl, moving to the wall and crouching with his back rested on the wall.
"Okay then..."
"So who are you, and why do you keep following me about?"
"I won't say a single lie to you..."
Denzel's face turned to look at Owl, "What do you mean?"
"You don't need to know my name, just call me Owl." Owl walked towards the wall, squatting just ahead of Denzel.
"And?"
"I was sent to do that, and I am sure that you know who..."
Denzel began to scowl his face, "Huh...? Don't tell me-"
"Yes, it's who you think it is, Leia..."
Denzel began to get up from where he sat, moving closer to Owl.
"What are you trying to do?" Owl said, still sitting where he sat while looking at Denzel.
'What the hell was Grayson even saying?' Denzel thought to himself, as he pulled Owl's shirt when he got to him.
"You do realise that for Leia to send me, she obviously knows that you have no chance against me," Owl said, giving out a confident smile from the side of his lips.
"Why don't you just kill me now then?"
"Hmph," Owl smirked "You should consider yourself lucky, Leia told me to get you alive and not dead."
"Huh?!" Denzel's voice was already raised, he clutched Owl's shirt more than he did before.
"Could you stop? You are smudging my shirt," Owl looked at Denzel in his eyes, pushed off his hand and used his right leg to kick him off.
Denzel staggered back but stopped after some steps back.
"Denzel, I would give you a chance to make a choice. Do you prefer to take heed to instructions and follow me back to Leia or do you prefer to lose your consciousness?"
"What the hell are you talking about?! Like I would even let you." Denzel said, dashing towards Ted with his left hand raised to land a punch on Owl's face.
"Ahh, I see you are stubborn," Still dabbing his shirt with his palm, Owl moved forward before Denzel could even reach him and sent a punch to Denzel's stomach.
"Urghh!" Denzel reacted to the pain he felt from that attack, but that wasn't all.
As Denzel halted in his tracks, he held his stomach back. The next thing that came towards him was a kick to the face and that sent him flying to the left.
Denzel could feel blood seeping out of his nose.
'Damn! Was I deceived by Grayson too? ...Am I really this weak? ...Was going after this Owl really the best choice?" Those were the thoughts going on in Denzel's mind, and it was interrupted by the footsteps of Owl.
"You have decided that you don't want to take heed to instructions, so you leave me with no other option."
"Wait...wait! I... I would go with you," Standing to his feet slowly, Denzel said to Owl.
"Ohh you have changed your mind."
'It would be best to know what's going on at least as I am going to meet Leia. There must be a reason she doesn't want me dead. If anything wrong is to happen to me, I would know before I get there.' Denzel stood to his feet, the blanket on him had already fallen to the ground. "I give up" He raised his hands slowly.
"Pick it up and cover that junk please," Owl said to Denzel, giving Denzel a sign to follow him as he turned around.
"Huh... Ohh... Okay," Denzel quickly picked up the blanket and wrapped his body in it. "But, would I walk around this way?"
"Your luck, it isn't my fault that you are still unaware of the things you can do." Without looking back, Owl kept walking, "By the way, Denzel, the man you might trust now is your enemy."
Denzel stopped in his track, confused. 'Does he mean Ted?' Denzel kept on thinking about any other person that he would have trusted at that point.
"Creed Grayson..."
'Why does that surname sound familiar?... Wait a minute, Creed Leia? Creed Grayson? ... They are siblings?' Denzel's thoughts were completely unclear at that point.
"...is Leia's cousin" Owl completed what he said earlier.
"Grayson and Leia are cousins?" Denzel said, still looking furious.
"Yes."
"Are you sure about that?"
"Apart from an Owl, you could see me as Leia's right-hand man, so that shouldn't be hard for me to find out."
"I knew I shouldn't have listened to him, he is trying to deceive me also huh? I see that all Creeds are cunning people." Saying that Denzel walked towards Owl to keep up the pace with him.
Owl didn't say any other thing. He kept on walking and Denzel followed him at his back, his feet hurting as he walked barefooted.
