Torture!

(3RD Person POV)

Golden chains burst forth from the ground, the walls, and the ceiling as they all headed towards Orochimaru.

As Orochimaru sensed the countless chains burst as branches surrounding the entire room, even going as far as to slither inside the floor below his feet, he knew that at most it would take 2 seconds for the chains to immobilize him. Calculating the situation it took him half a second to bring his arm in front of him to weave a sign and activate the seals inside the room to buy him some time.

Sadly for him, in Kei's eyes, every move made by Orochimaru was played in slow motion, leaving him plenty of time to decide on his own move, raising his hand as if wiping something from his sight.

Immediately Orochimaru's arms were ripped out of their place, thrown widely into the room as a grunt threatened to tear his throat.

"Gahh… Kuh… hmm… it seems… my greed got the best of me… kukuku." – Orochimaru laughed while in pain as he spoke.

A snort came from Kei as he replied smiling.

"You give yourself too much credit. Do you really think it was your idea to implant my cells in your body?" – Kei asked while tapping the side of his head.

Orochimaru's eyes widened as he started running every decision he ever made through his mind. If he couldn't even tell when the fake memories started… then how could he even prove that his actions were his own?

"Terrifying isn't it? To not know what is real and what is not?" – Kei said as tilted his head slightly while rubbing his chin, his terrifying grin never leaving his face.

And it was, Orochimaru's every goal and decision coming back to his mind as he questioned even if what he was today was just a scheme of Kei. Was he even really betraying Kei… or was it just another plot to further Kei's agenda. He couldn't tell. Each memory seemed as real as what was happening right now.

Orochimaru feared death, much more so than others, because he had a taste of what immortality was like, albeit a small one, but it still ignited his greed, his ambition.

Still, he was always prepared for death, prepared to come back from it if need be, and yet for the first time, he couldn't afford to count on them. Were they even real? Or just another illusion integrated into his mind to make him more useful, to make him more complacent? He couldn't tell…

Chains had gripped his body, some wrapping around and others just piercing straight through.

Two chains had directly stabbed into each open gap where his arms once were, giving him immense pain as smaller chains branched off of the ones already in his body. Not only did they restrict his chakra, but they also sapped him dry of it, something that shouldn't have been possible as Samehada only displayed its abilities upon physical contact.

As he looked closer at the chains Orochimaru noticed something he had overseen before. Thin veins running inside each of the chains… and straight into his body.

'Kukuku… I'm already dead. Since it is over anyway, I will at least see what was real and what was not, and if by chance my contingencies work… I will be back.' – And he could tell even if he couldn't feel it from the pain, the tendrils were already extending inside his body.

Nevertheless, he looked at Kei with a small smile in his eyes as he felt a small triumph. Pain, so what, Orochimaru was more than used to it, he would endure. Death, so what, it's not like he could do anything to change that now. Not to mention the hope that with some luck he would be reborn once more.

But that smile wavered, as it met a bigger grin from Kei.

"I'm not that smart, I can't accurately tell what you are thinking so don't waver just yet." – He answered the unasked question and worry about Orochimaru. But that only made Orochimaru wearier of why Kei smiled.

"Then why?" – As a genuine question made its way out of Orochimaru, carrying his hoarse voice.

The smile on Kei's face twisted as it grew out of proportion from his face and a distorted voice came out of it.

*Because… it's not fun if you waver while we haven't even started yet.* - The distorted voice echoed in the room.

Lightning crackled as it traveled through Kei only to graze Orochimaru in the leg, electing a piercing scream to come from him.

*GAAAAAAAHHHH......….* - Orochimaru screamed for what seemed like hours as he finally gathered himself.

"W-W-What… d-did… you d-do?" - Orochimaru asked, his eyes grave as he barely could lift them.

"I would tell you… but where would the fun be in that." – Kei answered with a sweet smile on his face, threatening to spread once more into a monstrous grin.

At that moment Orochimaru understood… Kei was looking at him the same way… the same way he looked at his own test subjects.

"Don't look so downcast… it's ruining my mood.... Tell you what, to give you a fair chance at guessing what I did… I will do it until you guess it right. And to make it more favorable to you… it won't just be a graze this time." – Kei said as his smile widened and charges of electricity left his hand, all flowing through the chains as they flowed through the chains and screams flowed through the room once more.

-------------------------------------

(3 days later)

Whatever the method Kei had used to intensify the pain, it didn't matter, after twelve hours, Orochimaru had simply been unable to try and even respond. While Kei regenerated the damage done to Orochimaru, the torture was never lethal in the physical aspect.

But Orochimaru still held on, right up until the moment Kei whispered those damned words on the end of the 3rd day.

"Only 71 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds remain…. HAHAHAHA" – Kei laughed as another stream of lightning traveled through the chains.
