A lone horse walked the dirt path leading to Delphi, on top of that horse sat a young man with eyes full of vigor. Ibios had gotten over the fact that Pallas wouldn't be joining him on this quest, In his hand was a piece of dried meat. He slowly chewed on it as Gale continued to Delphi, from there he would head east, a small island sat between this land and the one closest to it.
Ibios pulled back on the reins bringing Gale to a stop, from the forest three men stepped on the dirt path blocked Ibios. Soon a balding middle-aged man exited the forest taking his place behind the three men wielding swords.
Ibios quickly recognized him as the horse merchant from the day before, "Had you not come to find me I might have left you alone," Ibios climbed off of Gale patting her on the head before drawing his spear.
"You took my biggest source of income I hope you didn't think I would just let you walk away."
Ibios didn't reply weighing the spear in his hand he raised it to his ear before sending it flying towards the man closest to him. It shot through the air with a slight spin the sound of a man grunting shook the forest as the spear impaled the man Ibios had targeted.
The middle-aged man blinked in surprise seeing how easily Ibios had killed one of his men. Most young men Ibios's age had never lifted a spear in their life not to mention killed someone.
"KILL HIM!!!" The merchant screamed in anger, his two remaining men hesitated before they both stepped forward slightly raising their swords as they nervously stared at Ibios.
Ibios reached at his waist pulling out his sword he waited as the men entered his reach, one of the men stepped forward raising his sword above his head he swung towards Ibios. Seeing this Ibios raised his sword the sound of metal clashing didn't faze him as he raised his foot kicking the man. Bringing his sword down he turned to the next man who thrust his sword towards ibios, seeing him Ibios twisted to his left narrowly avoiding the blade.
Twisting his sword he thrust it backward stabbing the man in his back, blood sprayed from the man's mouth as he fell face forward crashing into the ground. The Merchant no longer wanted to watch but he wasn't capable of looking away as Ibios walked towards the last man quickly ending his life.
The Merchant turned around hoping to run for his life, Ibios frowned seeing him run. Walking towards his spear he placed his foot on the body of the man he had impaled his spear with. Pulling it out he once again raised his above his ear this time he took his time making sure he got his aim right before the spear shot through the air like a well-placed arrow.
The merchant ran with all he had but that meant nothing as a spear pierced his chest, regret filled his heart as he breathed his last breaths.
Ibios breathed a sigh of relief he wasn't sure that spear would do the job and didn't want to chase the merchant. Hopping on Gale they rode to the merchant, Ibios reached down latching on to his spear as he removed it from the dead body of the merchant.
"May Charon guide your soul to the deepest depths of the underworld," Ibios wiped the blood from his spear before continuing down the dirt path leading to Delphi.
3 Days Later
"I'm finally here," Ibios sighed in relief as he looked down at the map in his hand. Looking from the map Ibios focused on a small Island, the 1st quest Item was supposed to be there. Looking at the water Ibios quickly recognized a small boat sitting on the beach.
Leading Gale to a tree he wrapped a rope around its base, it was long enough to give Gale a bit of moving space. "I'll be back soon stay put," Ibios walked to the small boat pushing it to the water he climbed inside.
Grabbing an oar Ibios began to row guiding the boat in the direction of the island, it wasn't that far off which is why he was hoping to finish before nightfall. Reaching the Island Ibios was surprised he expected it to be more dangerous than it was. Honestly, he was hoping to meet amazing creatures as Heracles did during his 12 Labors.
Heracles 1st labor was to kill the Nemean Lion, anyone who knew the tales of Heracles knew of the lion Heracles had worn the Lion pelt as a way of showing his courage and strength. Ibios was hoping to achieve something just as amazing on his first quest, stepping foot on the island Ibios slowly made his way forward.
The sound of water running drew his attention as he made his way closer to the sound, his ears were invaded by the most amazing thing he had ever heard. It was if he had yearned for such a sound his entire life, his mind clouded his only thoughts were to get closer to that sound.
Hastening his steps Ibios soon reached a cave, a hole carved in the ceiling as a waterfall had formed allowing water to flow naturally into the cave. Three beautiful voice filled his ears and he knew he was getting closer walking through the dimly lit cave he soon reached the hole where the water flowed into.
Color flooded his sight as a multitude of fruits filled his vision, the cave would remind one of a tropical island colored by nature.
Three equally beautiful women sat in the center of that pool of water, they wore nothing but their wonderful bodies. Ibios was amazed by their beauty but something else had drawn him there the three women sung so exquisitely as they bathed in each others presence.
They soon noticed Ibios, smile's filled their faces as they continued to sing the melody warmed Ibios heart.
"Join us, young Hero," One of the beauties said.
"Join us," The other two whispered in unison.
Quickly removing his chiton Ibios stepped foot into the water, he was soon surrounded by three beauties as they rubbed his skin singing in his ear. Thought of Relaxation soon flooded the mind of Ibios as he rested his back against the wall of the cave his arms wrapped around two beauties as the third one kissed his forehead, looking at her Ibios realized her beauty surpassed the other and a Gold diamond rested at the center of her forehead.
"Rest young Hero," The beauty said as she kissed his forehead reaching her hand down to his member.
"Rest," The other two whispered into his ear.
Ibios listened as they continued to sing for him, he felt as if he was exactly where he was meant to be, but then something shook him from his thoughts; another voice one that completely overpowered the harmonious sound of the three others.
"Clear your mind Ibios of Troy, what you see and hear aren't what they appear to be," Ibios blinked hearing that voice and as he did the color that he once saw had faded. The fruits he thought he had seen at first were in fact the bones of men. The three bewitching women that surrounded him hadn't lost their beauty, only they now appeared dangerous as their teeth were sharp and their nails had elongated.
Looking into the water Ibios quickly realized they weren't human, no with tails like a fish they could only be sirens. Remembering where he had left his Chiton Ibios realized that he would need to be fast if he was going to get out of this, at any moment they could decide they were done playing with their meal.
Releasing his hand from the siren on his right she paused with evil intent in her eyes but Ibios continued to act as if he was under their charm raising his left hand towards the siren on his left he cupped her cheek. Ignoring the instinct to throw up Ibios reached forward connecting his lips with hers. Quickly extending his right hand he gripped his sword pulling it down he slit the throat of the Siren he was kissing before turning to her supposed sisters.
Sirens were weak and their only ability was there singing, sure they had sharp claws and teeth but Ibios was prepared. Swinging his sword to the right he easily killed the siren in the middle she was the most dangerous considering she was gripping his member. His killing of their first sister had frozen the other two they had done this so many times no one had ever broken free of their charm.
The last siren on his right bared her teeth before swinging her claw towards Ibios blocking with his sword he reached towards her neck squeezing with his free hand. The siren shrieked as she raised her free hand, pushing with his sword Ibios freed it before the Siren could strike bringing the sword down with his right hand he hacked at her had caused blood to spray as he damager her beautiful face.
He didn't stop until he was sure she was no longer alive breathing in and out he slowly caught his breath. A sound soon caught his attention it didn't sound like either of the voice he had heard earlier it actually resembled the sound of a muffled dog. Looking around he noticed a small body tied up in the corner a cloth bag blocked Ibios from identifying the person. Climbing out of the pool of water Ibios threw his Chiton on before he slowly made his way to the tied-up person.
Raising his sword with one hand he used his free hand to remove the bag covering its head. What greeted his might have been the ugliest thing he had ever seen in his life. A dwarf with yellowing skin sat before him only the dwarf only had one eye. The dwarf wasn't only tied up by the arms and feet his mouth was stuffed not allowing him to speak. Ibios had thoughts of covering him back up with the bag and leaving him here to rot such an ugly creature should never roam the earth.
Deciding against it Ibios raised his sword towards the face of the dwarf cutting the knot that wrapped around its head the dwarf spat out the cloth that was being used to keep him quiet. The dwarf soon raised his arms, "Do ye mind," soon the dwarf was standing tall well tall for a dwarf staring at Ibios with a smile on his face.
"Ye saved me life Dear friend and for that, I owe ye dearly," The dwarf spoke in a weird accent confusing Ibios.
"What's your name," Ibios said as he turned back to the Sirens, he opened his map the only thing he had carried with him beside his sword.
"Names Άσχημο," Ibios frowned turning his attention to the dwarf.
"Look with a face like that I don't think you have any business being self-conscious about your name, so once again what's your name?"
The dwarf frowned hearing that and Ibios swore he could see the dwarf's skin turning red, "Listen ye old bastard me mother's only spoken to me once and that was the day ay was born. When she saw me face she screamed one ting and one ting only, Άσχημο. That's being me name ever since," Ibios had to stop himself from laughing feeling sorry for the dwarf standing before him.
"Names Άσχημο, but on the account of ye saving me life, ye can call me Z," Ibios nodded liking that a lot better.
