Stepping forward Ibios soon stood in front of beautiful browned skin woman, They said the Pythia was already over 50 years old. Ibios couldn't tell, standing in front of her one would think she was younger than 20 years of age.
The Pythia raised her hand motioning for Ibios to take a seat between them sat a blazing flame as red as the sun.
"Ibios Prince of Troy I've awaited your arrival," Ibios didn't think it was weird her knowing his name, she was blessed by Apollo himself.
"You've taken quite the journey to get here," The Pythia smiled as she closed her eyes mumbling a couple of words she opened her eyes she nodded. "You're in danger," She whispered as she closed her eyes again. This time her body began to sway back in forth before she began to shake a golden light began to encompass her body as she slowly began to float.
"The Gods have become aware of the danger you may or may not oppose to them. They're watching you closely one misstep could not only lead to your death but the destruction of Troy"
Ibios quickly processed that information, He didn't believe he had what it took to be a danger to the Gods, and Hera was that only ones He had personally met. He only had one question. " Why are the Gods so heavily involved in my life?"
"A man's life can be prophecized from before he was born, I could prophesize when a fisher would die, how many kids he would have even how many fish he would catch in his entire life. But you are an anomaly even your birth was a surprise, you are similar to an unfinished book. I can infer what will happen in the future only by the things you accomplish in the present."
Ibios frowned not really understanding "Am I not the offspring of a God?"
"I don't know, I can only guide you towards the answer. Find the father of Forethought, he will appear in Thebes soon. If you want answers, find him," The golden light faded as the priestess dropped to the ground breathing heavily. "Whatever this world has in store for you'll I believe it will be a legend known by man forever.
Ibios nodded as he left the temple he came here for answers but he was leaving with more questions. "It seems I'll be heading towards Thebes regardless." Getting there would be a lot easier if he had a horse.
Making his way toward the edge of Delphi Ibios kept his eyes open hoping to find a horse merchant. Not finding one he decided he would just have to keep his eyes open for any wild horses hoping to tame one. That was when he overheard "To anyone who can tame this Mare I'll pay you 20 drachmas if you fail you'll be cleaning the stables for a week. Worry not though I'll give you 1 drachma a day for your troubles a short balding middle-aged man laughed as he looked through the crowd.
"What about you young lad, you look strong come test your might, only someone as vigorous as Heracles himself could claim this mare." The middle-aged man cackled as he pointed at Ibios.
Ibios thought about it for a second before coming to a conclusion either this man was crazy or that mare was a challenge he didn't expect any man to overcome. Taking a step forwards he was stopped by an older woman, "Don't do it, boy, the last man who tried is no doubt suffering in Hades as we speak."
Ibios sent her a reassuring smile before continuing forward, "I'll dig the grave," a younger male said with a frown on his face.
"He's just a boy we shouldn't be letting him throw his life away," The crowd continued to comment as Ibios finally reached the man. Setting his eyes on the horse he narrowed his eyes looking at it, The Mare was as white as the clouds, her eyes as dark as dusk. 4 men stood at the sides each holding a rope, they used the rope to keep the Mare at bay. He could tell she was a frightening horse, untrained men would fall before such a horse. Ibios was different he had been trained not only in combat but also in horse riding. While his father didn't force them to tame a wild horse, his older brother Hector had already done so.
