MEETING MY IDOL

Erika (p.ov)

I woke up to somebody tapping on the car window and I opened my eyes to see the man who drove me here outside the window, I saw that we have already reached the airport and he had put my luggage outside. I stepped out of the car and stood near my luggage thinking he would take me to the rest of the team but he didn't say anything, he just got in the car and left.

I felt clueless seeing the disappearing car before me and panicked, I thought to call Mr. Richard and checked my bag for my phone but to my horror it was not there, oh god I guess I left it at home.

I stood near the parking lot with my luggage and I didn't know where the rest of the team were, and I don't know how Mr. Richard looks like, even if I know him where i can find him in this huge Airport.

I saw a woman who's drinking her coffee and checking her phone,i went to her and asked "excuse me, mam, can I borrow your phone for a sec, I urgently need to make a call " she looked at me suspiciously shaking her head her in a no and resumed drinking her coffee.

Later I searched here and there and found a payphone, I called dad to ask him the number of Mr.Richard but he didn't receive my call, he must be sleeping I thought and didn't call him anymore.

I have wasted so much time in these useless efforts and when I checked the time, it's already 4:30 am, tears welled up in my eyes remembering the warning regarding my appointment being canceled if I don't make it by 4 am, my heart started beating fast as if it would come out of my chest and I just stood there unable to do anything.

In my devastated state, I didn't hear the continuous honking of a car, then suddenly a beautiful red headed girl approached me snapping her fingers at me "Hey...wake up..if you want to die go elsewhere ..now move out of my way" she said harshly shoving me aside, I fell on the ground tripping on my luggage scratching my forearm and hitting my forehead.

But I was not in a state to say anything to her so I started getting up slowly but an Asian guy with thick black-rimmed glasses came immediately to my side and helped me get up and asked me "mam are you Ok?? are you hurt??".

"I am..I am ok" I said in a shaky voice flicking the dust from my jeans.

"mam you don't look ok , can I get you some water??" he asked nicely but the red-headed girl interrupted us "Daniel if you are done with your social service, shall we leave, we got a flight to catch," she said with irritation evident in her voice.

Daniel looked like he was about to argue but stopped seeing a short guy with a weird hairstyle running towards us "you guys have a death wish ?? why are you so late?? you are really lucky because Mr.Stone got stuck with some important business and will be late by an hour, otherwise, I would have lost my job along with you guys, now hurry up... I still can't reach that Erika girl. she is not receiving my calls "he said looking at his phone.

At that moment I felt like hugging that red-headed girl because if not for her I wouldn't have found my team"Hello Mr. Richard I am Erika Williams" I said looking nervously at him.

" you are Erika...?? why are you not lifting my calls ?? you think it's a joke to work in Mr. Stone's team?? anyway.. now all of you..follow me" he said walking towards the waiting room without giving me a chance to reply.

Daniel and I walked with Mr. Richard while that red-headed girl went to park her car, she soon joined us in the waiting area for passengers.

she looked taller than me with a cream complexion, she has shoulder-length red hair which was straightened perfectly, her lips looked kinda weird I mean they were unnaturally big, she has honey-colored eyes which were highlighted by mascara, her makeup was perfect a little too perfect, she was wearing a blue crop top and high waist denim shorts complimenting her hourglass figure. she looked perfect like those cover page models, she sat beside Mr. Stone crossing her legs and checking her phone.

"Hey your hand is bleeding ..i will go and get some bandage just a second" Daniel said and went to the nearest store. He came back with cotton and Dettol, "would you mind if I help you with it??" he asked gesturing my scratch at which I smiled at him for his friendly gesture and nodded my head.

"I am Daniel lee by the way .." he said dabbing the alcohol on my wound and i winced at the sting of the alcohol.

"I am Erika..and.. thank you," I said

"wow daniel.. looks like you found your soulmate huh.." the red-headed girl said with a smirk, why's she so hostile towards me, did I offend her in any way?? I thought and looked at her confused.

"she's caroline, our teammate, and don't mind her," he said applying some ointment on my wound, I smiled gratefully at him for tending my wound and said, "that's ok and thanks again ".

While we waited for another 10 minutes a tall big guy approached us and said "LET'S GO", I didn't get to see his face because he was already walking away with Mr. Richard running behind him along with Caroline.

Daniel and I didn't understand at first but nonetheless, we too started running behind them, Daniel ran faster with but I couldn't run fast enough with my sprained ankle thanks to Caroline.

My ponytail got loosened while I was running and my hairband fell but I didn't have time to stop and take it so I ran with my hair falling loosely below my waist, I saw the big guy from before standing near a plane with STONE'S written on it, he was shaking hands with someone in pilot uniform and then he suddenly turned to my side and saw me running towards them.

When I got a closer look at him I saw my idol and the science god himself Mr. Christopher stone, he was wearing a black shirt half tucked in his ripped jeans looking insanely handsome.

The moment I saw him I forgot everything and ran to him with a big smile on my face and holding my backpack straps like a schoolgirl, my cap flew away due to the wind but I didn't stop running, I ran towards my idol with a big grin on my face, it was such a fangirl moment for me that I didn't care about anyone around and stood before him and time stood still for me at that moment.

I wanted to tell him I am his big fan and I worship him like a god and how much it means to me to work with him but nothing came out of my mouth like some cat caught my tongue , I just stared at him smiling like an idiot without saying anything.

It felt like I am dreaming when I was standing before him, I couldn't stop smiling with happiness, I felt like taking his autograph or a selfie, at least hug him once till my dream lasted.
