Promise
Katalina's face goes pale with dread as she looks at the person's name on the tracker pad. Kasai Akihito. "Oh no. Kasai!" Katalina and Lucien share a glance and they both act accordingly. Lucien grabs the nearest communication device and contacts all the search groups. "Attention all headquarter personal! I need the nearest search group at sector 12-4" He orders. They both look at the schematic of the island to see the nearest group. "The nearest group seems to be General Daichi's." Lucien says. Both of there communication devices start chiming. Lucien answers it, and General Daichi's voice booms from the other side. "Headmaster, all of my men are in position, should we engage?" He says. Lucien looks out the corner of his eye to see Katalina shaking her head profusely. "Please, just tell them to hold off until we get there." She says in a whispered tone while pleading with him.
Lucien looks at her and finally gives in. "No General, hold off until we get there." He hangs up and looks at Katalina. "You know he not going to listen to me if he sees me there." Lucien says. Katalina gives him a confused look, "The General respects you, I'm sure he'll follow your orde-" Katalina stops and looks at his disappointed face and she immediately knows what he means. "You we're talking about Kasai, weren't you. Don't worry, he might listen if he sees me there!" She says with an embarrassed face. "Kasai's a stubborn boy, I just hope I won't have to use extreme measures in front of the girl." Lucien says. They sit there in silence once again thinking to themselves. 'Kasai, please put away your stupid grudge and listen to me when we get there so you don't get hurt!" Katalina thinks to herself as she hits her nails.
They all arrive at the expected destination. General Daichi has them surrounded with military personnel armed with guns. Lucien is the first one to exit the vehicle with Katalina anxiously following behind him.
"Lucien." Kasai says coldly.
Katalina can feel him glaring at them. Jiro catches up and joins Katalina in the stand-off. "Kasai, the girl is unstable, you need to hand her over." Lucien says as he steps forward. "Sorry. Not gonna happen!" Kasai says as he takes a step back with Adrien still in his arm. "Very well. General take aim." Lucien orders. Katalina's eyes widened at Lucien sudden command. She watches Adrien tremble and she walks to the front to talk to Lucien.
"Headmaster. What are you doing, your scaring her." She says while placing a hand on his shoulder. "Tell the General to lower his weapon! Let me talk to him!
Daichi looks back and gets annoyed. "Stay out of this Lieutenant! Your little pupil doesn't wanna comply! Maybe a little knock to the head will set him straight!" He aims his gun straight at Kasai and Adrien.
"GENERAL! You will not fire until I say so!" Lucien shouts while taking a step forward.
Katalina pleads with Lucien one more time. "Headmaster. Please allow me to talk to them before we make any rash decisions." She says
Lucien keeps his eyes focused on the two not letting them out of his sight, but he takes Katalina's plea into consideration. He sighs. "Very well, General continue to aim so they don't go anywhere."
"Yes sir." Daichi says while glaring angrily at Katalina for interfering with his hunt.
Katalina walks toward the front of the armored men and speaks to Kasai. The closer she gets, she notices cuts and bruises all over her body. "Kasai, if Adrien doesn't receive medical treatment her wound will get infected. I promise we're here to help."
Kasai scoffs at her. "How do I know I can trust you or believe anything you say. How do I know you won't just walk away like you always do!" He raises his voice startling Adrien in the process. Katalina then gives him the scariest glare she ever had on her face that even catches him off guard.
"Im gonna need you to put this little grudge away and listen to me!" Katalina says while taking a stomp towards them. Kasai backs up again, knowing that things are about to get ugly.
Adrien starts hyperventilating and loses control of her aura. Light starts emitting from her skin more profusely. Lucien notices, "Everyone step back!" He orders. Katalina takes another step forward. "Kasai! You need to let her go!" She yells while trying to get closer to them. 'He doesn't have any defensive aura to protect himself, If he keeps this up, her aura could completely annihilate him.' She thinks to herself.
"Hey! You need to calm down, I'm not gonna hand you over." Kasai says to Adrien whose panicking in the process.
"I can't calm down, I don't know how to stop it! Just put me down, you'll get yourself killed!" Adrien shouts back at him. She stops shouting and notices Kasai coughing up blood. "No! I promised, I wouldn't hand you over. I can't break another promise.
They both look at each other and their eyes meet. "Thank you Kasai, but I don't wanna hurt anyone else. You've done enough." Adrien says with tears in her eyes. "Just let me go."
General Daichi gets irrational and impatient and runs toward them without even thinking. "Hey punk! let her go already!" He shouts as he tries to grab Adrien's wrist.
Katalina sees Daichi pass right by her right before she sees Kasai's iris shine with a bluish-green hue. 'Wait is he- She thinks to herself, before she's able to get her thoughts straight she tries to warn Daichi. "General Daichi! GET BACK!" She shouts as she rushes after him.
Daichi immediately grabs Adrien by the wrist, but only for a little bit until he looks toward Kasai and sees his glowing glare. 'No way, this ki-' He thinks to himself as he's suddenly knocked across the ground. Katalina rushes to his side and kneels down behind him. All the men look on in horror.
Lucien can't comprehend what just happened and looks on. "Sir!?" Jiro says as he looks on in horror as well.
"KEEP YOUR FILTHY HANDS OFF OF HER!" Kasai's voice booms from the other side. A bluish-green aura surrounds both Adrien and Kasai as he stands their defensively with his arms around her. As Adrien's aura was calming down his aura was increasing drastically. "I promise Adrien, I'll keep you safe."
