Perhaps it was because he was so used to feeling anxious all the time, but even though the thought of how he would in less than twenty-four hours be married to his Tira made him feel very fidgety it didn't actually affect Kuryzan's sleep. Sure before he actually fell asleep the night before his brain went through everything that could go wrong – but he could easily answer all of his worries either from having prepared against them or by knowing that Tira would never hold it against him if something wrong did happen – even if it had been his fault.

Tira always was so understanding of him. He did hope he didn't stutter through his vows though. And sleep was a good way of making sure he could function at his best tomorrow.

So he did sleep.

It was early in the morning though when he woke up, and went to make sure one more time that everything was ready. It was, of course.

He was just being overly worried. He knew it of course. But it made him feel better. He felt so restless, and was relieved when Heron finally got up and sat with him as they waited for the time of the ceremony.

Heron must have sensed his nerves because he kept the conversation away from the wedding and instead distracted Kur. Something Kur was thankful for. It was still several hours before, and Kur was aware that he needed distracted lest he go into a complete nervous wreck.

He was aware though that his nerves would probably settle once he laid eyes on his bride. It was just the waiting that was so difficult.

Finally though the time did come and Kur, after changing his clothes, went to where they had set up in the castle gardens for his wedding. Tira arrived not much later.

His bride was dressed in a mostly white skirt and a green bodice. Her hair was down and laced with white flowers. The barest hint of a smile was on her face. She came to stand next to him, and Kur felt as if his heart was swelling from the happiness and love he felt at that moment.

He nearly missed the signal to start his vows, and hurriedly pressed her hand briefly to his heart. "O-of…" He restarted, taking a deep breath, "Of all the women in the world I have chosen you to be by my side, in the good times and in the bad." Drawing out the red ribbon from his pocket he looped the cord about his wrist, tightening it as he continued. "With this binding ribbon I promise that I will prove ever faithful to you, that I will stick by you through whatever comes, and will always be there when you need me." Just like she was always there for him.

She took the other end of the cord, and for a moment looked almost shy before she tied it about her wrist. "And in return I promise you my own faithfulness, my love, and courage to face the future with you. Though the road may be rough and times be dark I will stick through till the sun shines again on us."

Kur took hold of her hand, and fiddling a bit managed to slip the silver band on her finger. With a lot more ease she put his ring on for him. Then lifted her face to his, waiting for him to seal their vows with a kiss.

Kur would have thought that he would have felt nervous or uncomfortable kissing her in front of so many people. But all he was really thinking about was her at the moment, with only a vague awareness of the priest standing at the side overseeing it.

So he didn't hesitate to lean down and press a lingering kiss to her lips. Her hand grasped his arm and she smiled up at him when he pulled back. Now he grew aware once again that they were in public and his whole face grew hot.

She whispered. "You did better than I expected."

"I…just focused on you." He admitted.

She chuckled. "Now you'll need to make it through the well wishing."

"Hold my hand?"

In answer she grasped his hand in hers and gave it a squeeze. "Always, my dear wizard."
