Chapter 32: Fight For Your Lives

Even after all the training Maria did, I had little faith she would win this fight. She put up a good struggle though and I was prepared to convince the king to spare her when the inevitable happened.
But then she seemed to have won. I was surprised as everyone else.
Then Olivia got up and did something that froze everyone with shock. I was…too slow to prevent the barrier from forming.
“Valaron, do something! She’s going to kill Maria.”
I couldn’t say anything to Valareia. I already tried hundreds of things. But I can’t destroy or fully breach the barrier.
I can see it all down below. A young Sara fighting with all her might against the barrier. Even young Vulcana is trying to breach it. But it’s hopeless, they don’t have the power.
“Valaron, how is Olivia even doing this?”
I look to my king whose usual calm demeanor is replaced with genuine concern.
