John had tried to manipulate his body to make it stronger but could not do so due to fear and lack of knowledge. He had thought about using it to let him become stronger but he found that he was not the one who could suffer in pain to become stronger. The idea of experimenting with the healing power to make his body stronger was a good idea but he thought about it. the only thing he did was to let the bones grow something similar to an exoskeleton to protect his organs and let his bones become stronger.
John walked to the market to see many stores and many markets. The productivity was different here and although there were many who had many items, most else were underdeveloped. He saw many items that were rich and wonderful as the modern world and he still saw some farmers selling some wooden bowls. He sighed and walked to find that one gold was equivalent to 100 silvers and 1 silver was equivalent to 100 coppers.
John looked through to find methods to make money. Although money was useless in many manners but it was indeed useful in a civilized society. He may be targeted by the nobles if he had too much money but he will be surely targeted if he does not have money. The only way to remain alive was to remain at the top and remain alive.
He could not sell items to the shops as he would be noticed. He did not want to be noticed for now as he was not famous enough. He could only try to deal with the travelling merchants or try to deal with some underground forces. As the heir to the knight he could indeed have three regular soldiers as the subordinate and when he becomes a knight, he could have ten soldiers as the subordinate. His father was nothing more than an ordinary knight under the count and the count had a 80 knights under him. He decided to go to his personal village which was handed over to him by his father as he was the only son and the sure heir to the knight.
John decided to start by selling some stone utensils as they were much stronger than the wooden ones and there were many people to buy it. A set of wooden utensils of two spoons and a plate was sold for a copper piece when they were made of stronger wood that was only available in the Jolly Forest. The stone ones were better as they would last for a long period of time. He could sell them for three to four copper coins and there were more than 800,000 people in this land and he could make somewhat about 240-320 gold coins. The position of the baron could be sold for a hundred gold coins but that would only last for two generations and were much inferior to the ancient knights.
John did not like the choice. He would have to go and get many rocks, the change it and then find a seller and then try to sell it the common populace. He had to find some better items. He found that the clothes costed more. He could indeed use the skin of animals alone to make a dress but he did not have the knowledge to know whether they would last for a long period of time. He could indeed buy a lot of processed cloth but it was harder to enter the market where the families and military power was much valued.
John started walking and walked outside the city. The city guards respected him as he was the heir to the knight. He had worn a coat that held the sign of his family and was recognized. He saw a merchant going on his cart and looked at the cart. He though about making carts. The items would be made from wood and some parts would need iron. The problem would be buyers. He went to them and started talking about items.
He was greeted by the muscular merchant with a sword. How was the person stronger than him the heir to the knight. He did not care much. His father would work for another 15-20 years and he did not have to care about them. The merchant said, "Nice to meet you sir. I am Patric the merchant from the Dynalis province. Would you like to come with us sir.?"
John found that he could not see much respect in his eyes. Maybe it was because he was nothing more than a commander in the army and an official during peace times. John found it funny to think about the peace in the medieval times.
John smiled and said, "It is indeed nice to meet you."
Patric did not like that he was not respected and introduced in return. He was not much happy about it but did not show it. He was able to rise to the top due to him being able to interact with the strong ones. Patric asked, "How about you join on the travel unless you have to go somewhere?"
John though and said, "Sure."
