As the sky began to grow light, Li Hongyuan awoke.
Before him lay the smooth back of the Princess Consort. A few strands of black hair hung over her shoulders, setting off her delicate, snow-white skin.
Li Hongyuan leaned over and gently kissed her back, her warm scent filling his nostrils.
Jiang Ning woke up, pulled up the quilt to cover herself, and lazily said, "I want to sleep some more. If you want to get up, just leave quietly."
After waiting for a while, there was no movement from behind.
Jiang Ning thought he had fallen back asleep and looked back at him.
But he was staring at her.
"With that look in your eyes, if we were in the wild, I'd think you wanted to cook me and eat me," Jiang Ning said. "Or can you not bear to leave me?"
"A beauty's lair is a hero's grave."
Li Hongyuan said and lifted the quilt, got out of bed, and picked up his clothes to put on.
Jiang Ning suddenly thought of something and quickly sat up, calling out, "Where's Huang Ying?"
