Chapter 48 : Our Baby
*Matthew's POV*
A ray of sun broke through the window and landed across my face, waking me up. I blinked slowly, trying to adjust to the light. That's when I saw her. Trinity.
The light coming through the window was hitting her silhouette perfectly, making her look even more beautiful if possible. I reached out and tucked a stray hair from her face behind her ear and she continued to sleep soundly.
I smiled.
It was amazing how much she had gone through in her short life and stayed strong. Most of the stuff she experienced would have broken other people, but she remained positive. I didn't know how she did it. She had to be the strongest woman I knew.
Even the two of us had gone through a lot in the short amount of time that we had known each other, but here we were at the end of it all; happy. Hell, we even had a son together now. She had given me that.
Is this what it felt like to love someone?
