Pre-disposed

Prudy, Kiara and Abbie find each other at California University L.A. They learn to co-exist even with their differences in colour and status. They live life one day after the other and make life decisions on their way. They get caught up in love triangles and find their way out together. They teach the importance of accepting oneself before others can accept you as well as the importance of "all lives matter" instead of "one race's life matters". They make life changing decisions, some bad some good, some, you be their judge.

chapter 18

Kiara's POV,

"Allan truth or dare?" I'm not sure Prudy knows what she's doing.

"What?"

"I said truth or dare?"

"Dare, I guess?"

"You haven't changed uuh,... I dare you to make out with that girl over there."

"Chanel?"

"Whatever her name is. I see how she looks at you." Now this is not good at all, maybe mixing pom and coffee doesn't end well.

"No way I'm making out with her, she's my girlfriend's best friend, and she doesn't look at me in any way." He takes a gulp of pom from his oversized blue cup and states back at Prudy who walks towards him dramatically.

"Oh, what a coincidence, you have a problem with that now and not then?"

Okay, chills are beginning to form all over me and I can tell his face is changed too. Prudy bursts out laughing  and hits his muscle.

"Chiiill dude, I'm just messing with you." She laughs louder and Allan lets out a tensed giggle and unsure breath. Prudy turns to me and winks. I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean but I roll with it and  smile back unsure of what else to do.

"What was that?" I ask after she finds her way next to me.

"Can't I mess with an old friend now?" I look up and Allan is staring right at me and I give him an awkward cups up and smile which he returns.

"Here." Chanel hands a drink to Abbie and abbie looks ackwardly at her and then at me.

"I... Uum..."

"She just took coffee." I try to save her.

"Shut up looser. I wasn't talking to you and being the school president doesn't give you right over me around here."

My mouth is left open. What did I do now?

"You," Chanel says turning to Abbie." In these kinda parties, in LA, people drink so, here." She's basically forcing Abbie to drink pom.

"I don't drink." She manages to say it herself.

"Then get out, go have icecream or baby corn or popcorn and watch a movie."

"Chanel?" Berlin tries to save the awkward situation.

"I am not talking to you Berlin."Chanel adds still focused on Abbie. "So you decide to screw family, is that nice? Who among them fucks nice? The playboy or the goodboy?" Abbie clenches at Chanel's choice of words.

"Why don't you tell everyone here how innocent you are again." She adds and I look at Abbie who is obviously shocked.

"Leave her alone won't you? I have not s..." Berlin tries to say.

"Stop Berlin, let me." Abbie gets up and grabs the oversized cup and gulps down the drink and stops to close her eyes and hold together her jaws.

"Wow!" she exclaims and wipes her mouth with the back of her hand.

"I do not know what your problem with me is Chanel but you know, there's this thing called minding your business and getting a life," Abbie reaches out for my cup and gulps it down. "I think you should try it sometime." She again reaches Berlin's cup and drinks from it emptying the cup. She stands straight to look Chanel in the eye. "I don't drink, out of choice. You need to try making your own choices too. It feels good, I promise."

"Yo..." Chanel tries to say.

"Shut up looser, I'm not done yet." Abbie looks at me and giggles. I know its because Chanel used the same words on me but I can't help but be surprised instead of thankful. Prudy wants to get up but I hold her down.

"Kiara, is the school president and has right over you everywhere and she doesn't even need to be school president for that. You stoop soo low you can't even get to Bracy's level." Abbie points out at a girl playing pool across the room." Atleast she gets paid to be a whore you can't get any rise from Berlin even when you give him a blowjob for three weeks!"

"Okay, that's enough." She is clearly drunk and someone has to stop her from saying things she'll regret.

"I'm not done yet Kiara, she wanted me to drink right," Abbie walks over, takes Prudy's cup and shoves the whole drink down. People are quiet and Berlin is begging her to stop. "Yes I love it when family screws me." She laughs.

This is not good.

"They give good handjobs especially when it's a threesome. And you, you need to pray girl, you need to sing in church more, maybe God can be merciful enough to increase your bum size then you can have enough guys around you and stop eying your best friend's boyfriend."

"Okay," I grab her by her shoulders.

"We're done here."

"But I'm not dooone." She whines and throws up all over Chanel.

"Maybe now I am." She says with a faint smile and blacks out as Chanel walks out dissapointed and mad. Prudy and I carry her out into my car.

••••

"Ah, my head hurts." Abbie sits up holding her head.

"What did you expect, you took, God knows how much alcohol on your first day."

"I swear I'm never drinking again."

"Yea everyone says that." I couldn't go home and leave her alone with Prudy. Prudy is not the best at nursing. I remember one time I puked all over myself when I had gone down with fever and she puked too. She couldn't handle the mess I had made and had to call a neighbor to help out.

"Did I hit her?" She says looking proud of herself.

"No, we didn't get there."

"So sad, I was hopping to make a scene on my first drinking day. Like a bucket list?"

"Oh, trust me, you did."

"Bucket list? Seriously that thingy doesn't work anymore." Prudy says picking up her guitar. She walks out and stops at the door. "Look who's here." Sally enters before she can turn around and do her dramatic clap.

"Abbie looks shocked and hides inside the blankets."

"I heard what happened."

"Yea, she drank, it's normal for people to drink." Prudy shouts and walks out. Sally ignores her comment and sits beside Abbie,

"Are you okay?" She rids her blankets from her head and stares at me. I raise my eyebrows at her and smile.

"Yes, yes, headaches but yes."

"Sorry, I brought a little something to solve that." He grabs a shopping bag he had places on the bedside stool and gets drugs and cupcakes.

"I'm going to leave you two now." I say and get up.

Abbie gives me a pleading stare and I mouth to her that she will be okay and leave.
