Pokemon: The Radical

An ordinary man reincarnated into the Pokemon world, watch as he becomes anything but ordinary. Warning: An ordinary person is reincarnated, so don t hope for him to have a crazy conviction in the first chapter. He will find his purpose and find the determination/discipline to achieve it. Expect Character Development to span over multiple chapters and arcs. Not a big fan of Ocs so I ´ ll keep it to a minimum. Important side characters will be characters you know and love. Updates: 3+ a week( I´ll update this if changes occur.)

Life Of Kane

My eyes fluttered opened, taking in my new surroundings.

I looked around, trying to gauge my situation. It was a dominantly white-colored room, with a bunch of machines around me. It was an infirmary, and I was on a hospital bed.

I blacked out and I was transported here, that's what I remember. I must have spooked the other workers here.

Speaking on remembering things, that's not the only thing I remembered. The reason I blacked out was all the new memories invading my head. They told me everything about the new person I was.

His name is Kane. He had no last name as he was dropped by an orphanage in Melemele Island, called the Hau'oli Orphanage. He was raised there his whole life.

He was a loner. Didn't really talk to anyone. I was only focused on my studies. He'd head to the local library everyday, brushing up on new things.

His dream was to amass enough money to keep him, and his future generations wealthy for his and their lifetime. He didn't know what avenue was going to take him there though.

In school, he got excellent marks not because he was smart, but he put in all the time to learn it. Still then, he had no idea of what he was going to do.

I couldn't lie, he was just like me. Being great at school does give you an edge over most, but not if you don't know how to use it. The problem that plagued us both.

It changed for Kane as soon as that single opportunity came.

After he graduated from school, He had taken a job at the Aether Foundation, which was basically helping around the Aether Paradise.

He has now been here for almost 3 years, now 18 years old, learning more about this company and the work they do.

The Aether Foundation is a major organization based in the Alola region whose goal is to cure hurt Pokémon.

They host wildlife reserves on their man-made island to rehabilitate hurt Pokemon.

To prevent any robbery or stealing of these Pokemon, they have radio waves across the island that disable empty Poke Balls.

They're also one of the largest breeding programs in the world..

The Aether Foundation distinguishes itself with a large breeding program, renowned for its humane techniques.

Emphasizing the well-being of Pokémon, they offer ethically sourced companions to trainers. Through certified breeder networks and educational outreach, they promote responsible breeding practices.

Premium services cater to discerning trainers, while exclusive Pokémon lines attract collectors.

This blend of compassion and commerce establishes them as leaders in Pokémon welfare and conservation. It was a genius idea.

Kane spent his first month learning about all these things, in order to get a better understanding of this business.

All in all, Kane has led a new life, but as I looked in the mirror opposite of my bed, the more my situation started to settle in. I am now Kane.

Or maybe we fused? I had no idea what the nature of this is, but all I know is that I'm in control of his life now. My old life is no more, I now live in the world of Pokemon, no matter how crazy that sounds.

My smile grew a little bit. The world of Pokemon, how scary it might sound in theory, it's still Pokemon. I had so many ideas on how to continue.

One thing that was a constant in this is having my own Pokemon team. Just the thought of that was exhilarating. But what profession would I now be?

Maybe a Pokemon Trainer, or some other type of variation of it. They were many types of trainers from Gym Trainers to Law Enforcement, there were many different options.

That thought was postponed as doctors came into the room, and started to examine me.

After a couple minutes, they told me I was all fine and that in a couple of hours , they would discharge me from the infirmary.

"All in all, just try to stay less stressed", the lead doctor said, before leaving the room.

__________

It was evening, and I was let go of the infirmary. It's not like I'm going anywhere, since all workers on the Aether Paradise leave here, including me.

First plan of business, I had to lay out all my cards. I'm not just Kane, I'm also the old me. With his and my knowledge combined, I guess I can think of a course of action.

I died in my last life, and now I got a second chance. No matter how disorienting it might be, I have to stay on top of it.

Suddenly, the intercom for the building went off as I was still walking through the halls.

¨May Kane report to the boss ´ office", The voice, that seemed kind of monotone rang through my ears and the halls.

Oh great, I get thrust into this new world, and I'm already put in a situation like this. Oh great, just my luck. I'll be talking to the one and only Lusamine. If it's Game Lusamine, that I'm in for a bad time.

I redirect my walk, heading into the direction of her face. These memories of Kane are so far helpful, but his mannerism and mines are two different things.

I'll try to replicate it, but slowly over time, I'l try to mix in mines to make it normal to all these people soon enough.

Making my way to her office, I pass many of my coworkers. They had ears though, so they heard the intercom. As I walked past, mutters, whispering, and the occasional "Good Luck, you'll need it".

What does that mean? I mean, from my memories, she seems to be a little bit mean and nice at times. I braced myself for this encounter.

Not even a full 24 hours in, and I'm already facing problems. If this is what to come, then I wouldn't know what to do.
