Chapter 11 - Promotion Battles(1)

"Didn't I tell you to call me Uncle Travis!" Travis said while giggling.

"Sorry, Uncle Travis" Blake said shyly.

"Ha ha look at this brat," Zack said excitedly.

"It good to see you again Blake" The woman Xavier did not recognize spoke.

She had ruby eyes, white skin, and the same strawberry blond hair as most of the Taylors but her hair was long and straight. The most eye-catching thing was the five stars that were on the bracelet.

That was when Xavier knew who it was Rebecca Taylor don't let that skin and beautiful eyes fool you she was even more cruel and bloody than Benard Taylor she was a training maniac who would go to Pear Forest for weeks and walk back with clothes filled with blood she was known as the Taylors enforcer and second strongest in the Taylor family.

"Greeting Aunt Rebecca" Blake said in a frightened tone

" Why weren't you at the Pride Ceremony? I see you already became a one-star trainer," Rebecca said.

"Aunt when you were out training so you might know that my Litleo egg was already reserved for the trade for Smith Family Fletchling" Blake said angrily

"What," Rebecca said surprised.

"Yeah it's true" Zack stated backing up Blake

"Cousin since when has a person of our Taylor Family Bastard or not; not have Litleo as a starter" Rebecca yelled causing a commotion

"Calm down Becca" Travis stated in a calm tone.

Travis looked at Blake and then spoke " Blake as your family head I have failed you because of this I will owe you greatly if you can forgive this matter after all the Smith Family has Master Trainer and also already sent a five-star trainer to complete this deal this isn't something that can be stopped".

"Uncle Travis I understand and plus grandma gave me the Magby egg" Blake responded

"Wait what" Both Travis and Rebecca screamed.

They were shocked even tho Magby wasn't a treasure pokemon it was on the same level it was so hard to breed even now the Taylors don't know how the former Matriarch Magmar got pregnant and this pokemon egg was supposed to be given to NAU for good of the family who knew she would give it to Blake.

"Ha ha ha ha"Travis laughed

"Cousin this is not a joking matter," Said Rebecca

"Why not this is fate and it's something that cannot be stopped," Travis said.

" Count this as our apology and I will get justice for you I promise," Travis said to Blake

Blake nodded

" Kid how long are you just going to listen in, " Travis said while looking at Xavier.

" Hi, Mister Travis and Miss Rebecca" Xavier shouted.

" Hey kid next time you want to sneak on somebody don't breath so loud it was annoying," Rebecca said

" Sorry about that I didn't recognize you, so I was being cautious," I said looking at Rebecca.

" Ha ha this one has a mouth" Rebecca stared at me licking his lips

" You must be Xavier is good finally meet you meet my name is Zack," Zack said sticking his hand out for a handshake

I shook his hand and introduce myself " Same The last time I saw you running circles in front of the school " I said jokingly.

" Hey how about yall join us for Trent's promotion battle, so we can get to know each other more," Zack said.

"We were already going there because my promotion is next" Noah answered.

"Wait what are you already attempting promotion," Zack said shocked. After all, he was still a one-star trainer and wasn't confident in the promotion. Even if he knew Noah was talented he shouldn't be this fast with no resources.

Travis and Rebecca look at Noah in interest after all the only reason they stopped was that Zack said this kid was his friend.

"Interesting it looks like you got a good rival son," Travis said smiling.

Rebecca thought differently she was the enforcer of the Taylors and made sure that Taylor's Family problems were handled. She looked at this Noah Sabre as a thorn that could affect the Taylor family in the future if we didn't try to make a connection now. Looking at the other brother Xavier's eyes she knew he wasn't simple as well. After all, this whole district was like a factory for the Taylor family most of the top powers were connected to the Taylor family in some way.

"Little Girl what's your name?" Rebecca asked out of nowhere.

" My name is ----- Jade" Jade said after seeing us nodding.

" What grade are you in?"Rebecca asked.

"I will start middle school next year," Jade said.

" Well you're very cute let me make you a deal if you decide to become a trainer if your brothers here advanced are both able to make the 2-star and 3-star ranking lists respectively in the next 3 years I will make you my disciple how about it," Rebecca said shocking everyone here.

"Really!" Jade said excitedly.

I knew what she was doing she was investing without really investing by giving this option we can't refuse because the Taylors run this district. 2-star is not hard caused a city base list, but the 3-star list is state-based making it way harder to enter.

"Really what do I get from being your disciple?" Jade asked in an excited tone

Rebecca was surprised she expected the brothers to ask such a question, not this little girl which caught her off guard. " Well I will give an elite potential pokemon egg from our Taylor family after you graduate but it can't be a Litleo" Rebecca answered.

"Really," Jade said excitedly

" Yes, Travis here can confirm my words"Rebecca answered.

"I believe you no need for that I just have hope Xavier can step it up I don't think Noah would have any problems," Jade said condescending tone.

" Why you brat!" I yelled causing everyone to laugh.

" It seems the match will start soon let go," Travis said as he started walking to the arena.

We easily passed security and made it to a private room. We could see the whole field from here and all the stands were filled to the brim. There I finally see the main character of today's ordeal he had short straight strawberry blond hair, white skin, and eyes the color of amber Trent Taylor.

I could see blake staring with open hostility like he wanted to tear him apart. Zack came and put his hand on his shoulder calming him down. After that, we sat getting ready for the match.

"Greeting everyone I will be the referee for this promotion battle the rules will be 2 vs 2 pokemon battle no switches" the ref announced.

"Are both trainers ready?" ref asked

Both Trent and NAU examiner nodded their head

"Go Psyduck," Examiner said.

"Rapidash get ready for battle," Trent said confidently

" How" Zack Yelled.

Which caught everyone's attention but Blake's.

"When did Ponyta evolve that's why Trent was confident he must found some way to speed up the process" Zack explained.

Everyone was also interested in this but turn back to the match, but I saw the glint in Travis and Rebecca's eyes. I looked at both pokemon.

" Let the match begin" the Ref said.

"Psyduck Water Gun"

"Rapidash dodge " you could see it dodge everything so swiftly causing the audience to exclaim even shocking me those bullets of water wasn't slow.

"Rapidash get closer use Takedown" Trent said.

" Fool Psyduck use Water Pulse " Examiner said.

Instead of telling Rapidash to retreat it continued head-on.

Trent Smiled "Rapidash continue head-on use Wild Charge".

"Psyduck Aim the water pulse to ground" This cause the Pysduck to fly in the air dodging the Wild Charge

"Rapidash use Swift why Psyduck in the air "Trent yelled

"Psyduck Brace for impact" Psyduck rolled into a ball trying to minimize damage but it still didn't work.

Psyduck fell from to ground unconscious." Psyduck is unable to battle please get your next pokemon ready". Ref said.

The examiner recalled his Psyduck

"Nice plan," Blake said.

" Agreed Trent baited him with the Wild Charge causing him to retreat if he didn't he would've won type advantage is not something that can be beaten using an electric move," I said. Causing everybody to look at me, especially Noah who was a little shocked about my changes recently.

'He has already lost even if the Wild Charge had taken Psyduck out he should've still hit Rapidash because right now it barely took any damage at all'I thought

"
