Pinsir Territory

8th January 1995

Kanto Region, Viridian Forest

"So you're 14?" Red asked as they squatted under a branch, The formation had been altered so Yellow could be fitted into it and Red was happy with his work.

Red was in the center with Yellow, of course he was stationed on the left side, Charmeleon was on the left side as well since he couldn't be trusted with keeping Yellow safe, No Red would rather give that position to the friendly Riolu who was intrigued by Yellow. Behind them was Pidgey and Gastly and up front was Pichu.

The formation was a bit flawed as Pichu was in LV. 9 but he served as a good bait for wild Pokemon to come in and get squashed by Charmeleon.

When Charmeleon killed a Pokemon in front of Yellow, Red had half expected Yellow to be flat-out barfing her lunch but her face was calmly medial, but one thing Red learned about her was that she hated pranks... and apparently she wasn't a big fan of the Gastly line. Who could blame her? Gastly were literally the smallest troublemakers on the Planet and they didn't even have high combat capabilities but what they lacked in combat capabilities, They made up for it with pranks according to Red's analysis.

He also noticed that the growth of Charmeleon who had only grown by a single level since they entered the Forest was declining, It was getting harder and harder for Charmander to gain levels. If his growth continued to decline like this, He would probably be at the bottleneck of LV. 19 at the end of the One month training.

Yellow was relatively familiar with the Viridian Forest and she guided Red until they made it to the Pinsir territory. At that moment, The GPS merely blushed and said she hadn't been here.

"You mean, You've been in Viridian Forest for the past 2 years... and you haven't been to the Pinsir territory?" Red asked, his voice hinting a bit of disbelief as he spoke,

Yellow averted her eyes.

"It's not like I haven't been here yet... It's just that, Pinsir are such a gruesome and terrifying Pokemon race and they refused to let me enter," Yellow said, her eyes shifting to the ground.

Red could understand her plight and without further hesitation, He gave LV. 14 Pidgey the order to do a scouting. It was already late in the Afternoon and Red was looking for a safe place to stay.

The Pinsir territory was a relatively dangerous place considering the fact that the Pinsir brawled each other for resources, What would they do to imposters then?!

Pidgey's scouting took less than 3 minutes, considering the Pinsir territory was albeit smaller than it's rivaling territories but hey, At least they weren't as stupid to start a Territorial war with the Scyther or Beedrill, It would be... drastic to do such a thing. Even if they had their highest level at LV. 30 or 40, A Head Scyther would averagely be at LV. 36 which meant instant death with an Aerial ace, The Beedrill Queen Red had faced before was nothing less than LV. 19 or so, A recently crowned Beedrill Queen.

That was one of the reasons Red's team could survive against that kind of Pokemon but a true average Queen Beedrill would be on the same level as a Head Scyther, LV. 36 or so.

Which otherwise meant, If the Pinsir were to start a territorial war, They would instantly be wiped out by these two factions. The Gloom faction / tribe was at the other side of the Forest and to get there, The Pinsir would have to march with determination through the Butterfree territory and well those two were allies so their forces would be wiped out before they even knew what happened. No matter what way it was put, Pinsir could not expand their territory any bigger and in fact, They had to be afraid of the size of their territory declining.

Red didn't want to think more of territories as he changed his mindset to the task at hand.

Pidgey's report had been accurate, They had encountered an abandoned part of the territory probably caught up in a fight between Pinsir, Small trees of the 2 to 3 meter length lay around as well as blood.

"Alright, Charmeleon and I will raise the logs while the rest of you disinfect the place," Red said as he put on his gloves and a face mask, A must for cleaning the wild for sleep.

Much to Yellow's surprise, Red raised an entire tree with one hand and flung it aside with relative ease.

Red had really grown leaps and bounds in his training and intensified his training to lifting three trees every morning and although he was straining his muscles with the action, He felt a little bit stronger. It was just that he couldn't carry a regular tree of about 5 meters or so as he would be crushed under the weight, That was what he was sure of but he would eventually try it in the future.

After clearing the wood to one side, Charmeleon used Metal Claw to cut them into pieces of firewood much to Red's delight.

That saved so much time that would have been spent scavenging for the rare item called Firewood, dry wood was horrendously more rare than wet wood and one needed dry food for a fire to last longer.

Yellow on the other hand was promptly warming her egg with her presence and... slacking off, Red hated when she did it but what could he do, She was a girl and she deserved some time to herself.

Everyone crawled into the large tent and although it was Yellow's third time being in the tent, She was still amazed at the coordination between Red and his Pokemon.

She inched closer and placed her sleeping bag a little bit closer to Red as the fire dinosaur was sleeping in her spot.

Red wasn't sleeping yet although he was near the dream land, He suddenly felt Yellow come closer and he was surprised at her closeness.

Yellow crawled into her sleeping bag and slept off. She immediately started snoring.

"This girl snores so damn loudly," Red complained as he stuffed the pillow closer to his head, "A traveling partner can really be annoying sometimes,"
