Pokemon Saga: Journey of a Lifetime Ch74

As Ryan felt a chill go down his spine Sebastian shot himself towards at an astounding speed ready to cut down Ryan. Fortunately Ryan had prepared his defence which blocked most of Sebastian's attack.

Keyword being most. There were a lot of cuts on Ryan. His Shield was littered with cuts. Ryan used his Aura to stop the blood and repair his shield.

'How did it cut through my defence? My shield was powerful enough to tank a Hyper Beam before going down.' Ryan thought As he analysed what Sebastian did again. He remembered he saw into Sebastian's eyes.

'Leer! He is using defence-lowering moves to defeat me easily. If I had not remembered about his eyes I wouldn't have known my defence got lowered. I have to be careful,' Ryan thought.

"To think you can use stat reducing moves too. You really are an entity who shouldn't be existing" Ryan said.

Sebastian scanned Ryan and thought 'He indeed is a monster. He deduced what I had done in a matter of seconds. Even though he is a psychic his intelligence is simply terrifying. I don't have much time left. I have to defeat him.'

Kirlia who picked up Sebastian's emotions told Ryan telepathically 'Master the man is getting ready to finish quickly. He is becoming desperate'

Ryan who got her message nodded and started to use Aura sight and spotted that Sebastian's Aura levels were slowly but surely dropping. Ryan immediately caught onto what was going on. The pill that Sebastian ate just gives a temporary form and has a time limit.

That was the reason his Aura levels which were boosted are dropping down. Ryan now knew what he had to do.

'I have to stall him until his time runs out,' thought Ryan as he channelled Aura, reinforcing himself and his weapons. He has decided that he will play as the tank to wear down Sebastian and stall him until his time runs out.

Sebastian started to attack relentlessly with more force each time gaining momentum while Ryan was rooted to the ground, tanking every hit and sometimes deflecting the attack to the side so that Sebastian loses the momentum he got.

'Why is he not attacking?. . . Is he low on Aura? No that cannot be he was deflecting attacks and destroying them a few minutes before. I am attacking but he is just defending. He is not counterattacking at all. What are you planning Mortimer Sebastian's thoughts as his eyes narrowed.

Ryan slowly started to spread his Aura out forming a barrier in the form of particles. Though they do not block attacks they nullify small amounts of Shadow Aura chipping away the amount of damage that Sebastian's attack can do.

On Steven's side (Steven's POV) :

Currently I am confused. I am extremely confused. First I meet a genius assistant professor, then Sebastian faked his death in the cave, then I see Ryan using an power to break the floor and attack everyone who seem to be from Team Cipher,

Then I met some crazy psycho who wields some type of power the same as Ryan but more sinister and introduces himself as William, then William turns out to be Sebastian in disguise with the power which is now Aura and Finally he has become an abomination?

Right now I am in a tight spot. I can see Aggron doing his best for me by fighting the Houndoom even after my other pokemon are defeated. If it was not for Ryan's Kirlia who knew Heal pulse my Aggron would have fainted and most probably killed along with me.

I can see Ryan in an Armour made of energy. Aura was it? He also has made a sword with the same energy which he refers to as Aura. I know that the Riolu line is the one who can wield Aura. I'll just ask Ryan later.

I also don't understand what Ryan meant by "Team Cipher is a revolutionary who overthrew Samael". Samael was the leader of Team Cipher wasn't he? I don't understand what is going on here. But I have a feeling that Ryan will explain everything after we sort out this mess. So for now I'll focus on defeating this Shadow Houndoom

Aggron was my first pokemon I got. No, I see it as my own family more than a pokemon who will fight for me.

"Aggron Rock slide hinders its movements!" I shouted.

Aggron obeyed and summoned rocks which didn't hit Shadow Houndoom but fell in front of it becoming an obstacle.

"Charge a Rock Blast!" Steve said.

The Shadow Houndoom blasted the obstacle apart with Fire Blast.

'Damn! I thought it would buy me some time but this Shadow Houndoom is just too strong and reckless. It just charges into battle head on!' Steven thought.

He saw Aggron giving a reassuring nod telling him he believed him fully. Steven saw Shadow Houndoom coming at full force.

"Rock Blast below its feet!" Steven yelled.

Aggron, now knowing what it's partner was planning, smirked and followed the plan. It shot a powerful Rock Blast which hit the ground creating a smoke screen. The Rocks that got blasted due to the attack hit Shadow Houndoom making it stop in its tracks dazed.

"Now Zap Cannon followed by Rock Slide!" Steven said and Aggron obeyed.

Soon the Zap cannon landed on Shadow Houndoom paralysing it and following it Rocks fell on Shadow Houndoom. Being a super effective attack it couldn't really defend against it due to the sheer exhaustion and being Paralyzed. It was soon buried in a pile of rocks.

Steven gave one final command to finish the Shadow Houndoom "Aggron Hyper Beam Full Force!!"

Aggron took all of its energy and created a massive ball of energy. It took longer than a normal Hyper Beam. Soon the powerful and massive Hyper Beam was launched at the pile of rocks. The attacks hit Shadow Houndoom blasting it towards Steven's former butler/ Servant, Sebastian. Sebastian could only look at his pokemon in shock before turning at Steven.

It wasn't soon after Ryan hit Sebastian was hit by a powerful blow by the courtesy of Ryan. Soon the Battle between Ryan and Sebastian began but Steven couldn't do anything because his pokemons were exhausted along with Ryan's Pikachu and Kirlia.

He could only see the battle between Ryan and Sebastian from the side lines.
