Pokemon Saga: Journey of a Lifetime Ch69

Ryan along with Steven and his butler Sebastian started to navigate their way through the caves to reach the lowest level of Mt. Moon

"These tunnels are like mazes. I would have definitely gotten lost if I had come alone" Steven said looking around.

Ryan just scanned his surroundings to see whether there were wild pokemons or not. He did not sense any pokemon and resumed his journey. Usually he would take the shortcut of skipping the 3rd level fully but he can't since he would need to reveal his aura and psychic abilities to Steven and his butler. He does not trust them yet.

Soon he reached the 3rd underground level of Mt. Moon. He started to navigate through the tunnels cautiously. The reason? There are a crap ton oṣf pokemon here. Even if they have elite pokemon, the sheer number of pokemon may overwhelm them.

As Ryan was walking he froze in his track

"What happened Ryan?" Steven

He clamped Steven's mouth shut telling him to be silent. He pointed up to the ceiling. At first Steven didn't understand but his eyes widened seeing numerous Zubats hanging upside down.

"You have to be silent here. This level has a lot of pokemon. Even though they are just low levelled pokemon their sheer number can overwhelm us easily. Not to mention the pokemons are a colony of Zubat." Ryan said

Steven's eyes widened. He then nodded and stayed silent since a horde of Zubat is the last thing he wants now.

Ryan was carefully navigating when his senses immediately went off. He immediately used Aura and sensed a horde of Zubats coming towards them. Steven who also sensed the disturbance saw behind.

An abnormally large horde of Zubat was coming for them.

"Run!!" Ryan shouted as Ryan, Steven and Sebastian started to run through the tunnels.

'F*** How did they wake up? I made sure we didn't make any noise. Arceus dammit' Ryan thought as he ran weaving through the tunnels. Usually he would have battled using psychic energy but he cannot show it to Steven or his butler.

"What is happening?" Steven shouted.

"Seems like they somehow woke up. I don't know how though. There are abnormally large amounts of them. If we get caught we will be drained of our blood and killed." Ryan said he increased his pace.

Steven just followed Ryan. Soon Ryan formed an idea. When he drew a map of Mt. Moon he found a passageway that led to 5th level also known as the lowest level of Mt. Moon. It can be accessed from 3rd level easily.

The problem was that it was a huge pit that leads to 5th level. He immediately decided his plan and led Steven to the passage.

"Did we lose them?" Steven asked.

"No. They can always use sonic waves to find us. Take this tie yourself" Ryan said as he gave Steven a rope. He bought a grappler and infused Aura in it. Thankfully Steven didn't notice it. He then shot it. Soon it stuck itself to the wall of the pit.

Soon Ryan, hearing the sounds of Zubat, grabbed Steven and jumped into the pit. Soon they fell down but came to a stop thanks to the rope which was tied to the grappler. Ryan called out Crobat.

"Crobat landed him safely on the floor" Ryan said pointing to Steven as Crobat nodded.

Steven then proceeded to clutch Crobat who safely landed him on the floor while Ryan used Arua to form claws and climb down just like he did when he came to Mt. Moon previously.

Ryan after landing on the floor went towards Steven asking him if he was okay since he may not have done stunts like this before.

"I'm okay but where is Sebastian?" Steven asked.

Ryan looked around and realised that Sebstian was not with them. "I hate to break it to you but we may have separated when we were chased by the Zubats" Ryan said to Steven.

Steven froze and asked in a low voice "Do you think he is alive?"

"Do you want the cold and harsh truth or False hope?" Ryan asked, seeing Steven in his eyes.

Steven closed his eyes and told "The Cold and Harsh truth."

"There is a 90% chance that he died due to the Zubats locating him using their sonic waves. He may have put up a fight since he has a mid elite level pokemon. There is also a chance he may have survived but he will not be unscathed. Zubat's attack may have poisoned him." Ryan said.

Steven could only close his eyes and blame himself for Sebastian's death since he was the one who wanted to venture into Mt. Moon

"Come on, we will collect the Moon dust for the sake of Sebastian" Ryan said. Ryan is taking advantage of Sebastian's death since he leaves Steven as he is. . . He would only break both physically and mentally.

'Knowing that someone died because of you is difficult to accept but such is life. You have to accept it and move on with your life' Ryan thought.

Steven nodded though he had not recovered from the news of Sebastian's death.

'He must have been very close to Sebastian' Ryan thought.

"Anyway I have good news," Ryan said.

"What is it?" Steven said.

"I know where we are exactly." Ryan said

"Where are we?" he questioned.

"Follow me" Ryan said and Steven obliged.

Steven followed Ryan as he went into a cave. As he went there his eyes widened.

The cavern had crystals which glowed ethereal blue. It was exactly like the Charge stone cave in Unova.

Ryan just said "Welcome to the lowest floor of Mt. Moon" as Steven found himself mesmerised with the sight.

When Ryan previously came here he couldn't enjoy the scenery due to the thieves trying to steal all the crystal and him killing them.

Ryan collected a lot of Moon Dust samples for himself and Prof. Birch.

Ryan called out Kirlia so that she could teleport them to Pewter City before he felt a foul aura coming from the deeper part of the cavern. He narrowed his eyes, this was the same exact aura that he had felt when fighting Wendell.
