Pokemon Saga: Journey of a Lifetime Ch47

Currently Ryan is walking towards Mt. Moon. His plan is to go towards the Cerulean city and get some information about water pokemon for Prof. Oak. If possible he will head towards Vermillion city .

Ryan also remembered the mission Giovanni gave him.

=========Flash Back Start==========

Ryan was just about to leave when Giovanni called him.

"Ah! Ryan" he said

"Yes, Sir?" Ryan asked

"As I said currently the Council will have their eyes on you and will try to recruit you-" Giovanni started

"Sorry for interrupting Sir, but what do you mean by 'recruiting'? I have already registered" asked Ryan.

"The Council search talented trainers and offer them sweet deals and recruit them into the army and private forces" said Giovanni.

Ryan nodded.

"As I said they will make move towards you. With them watching you, you cannot do missions and come to the TR headquarters as freely. So lay low for now. I'll transfer you to the Team Rocket Shadow Force" said Giovanni.

"Team Rocket Shadow Force?" Ryan asked confused as he hasn't heard a force under TR.

"TRSF (Team Rocket Shadow Force) is are a special team that work from the shadows. As you know TR work from the shadows. TRSF is an team which blend with Council completely and do their work. For the world, Council and even the TR members do not know about its existance.

Only selective members of Team Rocket and the members of Team Rocket Shadow Force know about its existence. The force don't pick mission based on ranks, they pick Z rank missions and complete it" Explained Giovanni.

"So that's how the Z rank missions get completed quickly" Ryan whispered out loud. Seeing what he has done he apologized to Giovanni

"No problem. Take a 2 weeks off, in this time period stay low and give a copy of what you will be giving Prof. Oak" said Giovanni.

"Yes Sir" said Ryan.

"Here take these files, these are about the Matron of the Orphanage you were staying in" said Giovanni.

Ryan froze. He had expected something like this but remembering about his Grandmother figure brings back painful memories.

"I ran a background check on you. This is the least I can do for a promising trainer in our organization." said Giovanni.

Ryan took the files with eyes devoid of emotion and left the office saying "Thank you, I'll be leaving sir".

'Those eyes. . . those eyes that promise pain and agony. The Council has done a big mistake. . . A very big mistake' thought Giovanni picturing those eyes.

========Flash Back End=========

"I have to give the reports to Team Rocket regularly just as I do for Prof. Oak" mumbled Ryan. As Ryan is walking towards Mt. Moon. Though he has a Flying type pokemon which can use the move Fly he preferred walking as he has not yet gone through out the upper levels of Mt. Moon.

As Ryan was walking a girl came running at him.

"You there!" she said

Ryan turned his head to see a girl of his age.

"I challenge you to a battle" she said.

"No" said Ryan as he went on his way.

"W-What? you can't do that. You have to battle me" she shouted.

"What is your average level?" Ryan asked.

"Lv. 28" she said haughtily

"My average level is higher than yours. You are not worth my time" Ryan said as he started to walk.

The girl becoming angry and said "I am Gissele from the pokemon School. I officially demand for a battle." the now know Gissle shouted.

'Oh she is that b**** who harasses and picks on people who are weaker than her. Since Ash is not here she must have become more arrogant and cocky than in anime. Let me teach her a lesson of humiliation' thought Ryan.

"Very well I accept" Ryan said crossing his arms.

"We will have a wager. If I win you are in debt to me and you will be my servant. If you win you will get these items" she said showing numerous evolutionary stones and stat bosting items. A particular item caught Ryan's eye. It was a light stone.

'With that light stone I can train Pikachu just like Ash did in the anime' thought Ryan.

"I accept" Ryan said.

Soon the battle ensued.

"Go Graveler" she said throwing a pokeball.

"Smite them with your thunder Pikachu" said Ryan as Pikachu jumped from Ryan's shoulder.

'Is he under estimating me? sending a electric type against a Ground type? No matter he will become my servant.' she thought forgetting her own lesson of 'Types don't matter'.

"Gravaler Rock throw" she said

"Destroy it using Iron Tail" countered Ryan.

As Graveler threw a huge boulder which got destroyed by Pikachu's Iron Tail. Ryan was surprised at how easily it was destroyed. He observed Graveler and found out that it was not properly taken care of. Its rocky skin was not polished and hardened. He also used Analysis.

'Why is it so weak?, Why did she practice move mastery on defense raising move? Why did she use an Earthquake TM on a Graveler when it can learn it on Lv.40? Is she an absolute moronic Idiot?' thought Ryan.

Seeing that he was distracted Giselle took this chance and commanded "Graveler Earthquake"

This shook Ryan out of his thoughts. Hearing the attack's name he relaxed.

'Why is he not telling anything? Why is he not nervous?' she thought. All these thoughts made her nervous. As she saw the field she got shocked.

There was the Pikachu yawning on the same spot it was at. It didn't have a single scratch!

'Is it an Champion level pokemon? No, it can't be even then there would be some damage which would be visible' she thought biting her nails.

Seeing this Ryan told "Pikachu's ability is Levitate"

"Levitate?" she asked.

"Are you sure you are from the prestigious pokemon academy? If so, I must say the standards are pretty low. Wow not knowing what Abilities are" said Ryan with disbelief.

Giselle only bristled with anger and embarrassment. "You-"

"That's enough Giselle" said a voice.

she turned her head and saw the principle of the pokemon academy.

"P-Principle what are you doing here?" she asked nervously.

"I came here hearing that you have been challenging trainers. Also young man this will be Giselle's loss" he said

"What?!" Giselle blurted out.

"You very well know the young man's pokemon is high leveled than yours. Do you even kow who he is?" the Principle asked.

Giselle could only shake her head.

"He is the trainer who is said to be the strongest Rookie this generation, He is also known as the Little Professor, He is also the assistant for Prof. Oak He is known for his Theories that you are currently studying. His name is Ryan Mortimer" Principle said.

'I never knew I had that many titles' thought Ryan annoyed.

As Giselle listened to the Principle she got paler each second. By the end she became as pale as a sheet. She had heard about Ryan Mortimer, he was known for winning the Yearly Kanto Rookie Tournament. His starter Pikachu was on elite level.

"I-I-I am S-S-Sorry" she said stammering.

"Its okay, As long as you don't do the same mistake again" he said

"The reward for winning the wager would be delivered to your house" Said the Principle as Ryan nodded.

"Here take this as an advance" he said as he gave a bag full of items.

Soon Giselle along with her school Principle teleported using an Alakazam. Ryan was now able to continue his journey in peace.
