Pokemon: Pallet Town's Genius

A 17 year old guy called Colson from Earth gets a second chance at life, but in a completely different world with different customs and new creatures. Lets see what his journey will bring us and what he will achieve as the twin of Green in Pallet Town ______________________________ This fanfic is made by me on this account. If seen anywhere else, it's a copy and paste. Colson will not limit himself to the gyms in Kanto and will join another league! But you will have to find out your self :) Pokemon is owned by Pokemon co, and the only thing I own are the MC and my OCs. Im a busy boy so don't expect a stable upload schedule but I will try my best to upload a few chapters a week. Also no colour or talent system. This story will be based on the anime with a sprinkle of the games and a pinch of au. Things like ways of evolving, the age of some characters, move mechanics, and what Pokemon can mega will be different. Comment if I made a grammar mistake as it's my first time writing any stories outside of the quick narratives I wrote at school.

"Monferno finish it off with Fire Punch!' I shout as both my Monferno and my opponents Riolu were stuck in the middle of a fires spin.

Monferno using his speed boost practically teleports in front of Riolu doing an Iron fist and Stab boosted Fire Punch quickly ending the battle.

"Winner Colson Green and Monferno!"

----

"Wake the fk up!" A voice shouts.

Groggily waking up in a cold sweat, I wipe my eyes droopingly confused. Not before hearing the voice again.

"Wake the fk up!" The voice shouts again.

Quickly realising that it's my timer on my phone going off I start to get a shine in my eye. It's finally the day to start my Pokemon journey!

Quickly jumping out of my bed which I sleep in by myself now I hurriedly prepare myself. Running towards the bathroom I check the time on my Poke Phone.

6:48

It's great that I still have two hours before I need to go. But I'd rather get a head start so I'm gonna head to the Lab at 7:20 and start immediately.

*32 minutes later*

Now fully packed I first say goodbye to my parents and start making my way out of the Mansions through the gates and head off to Professor Oak's lab. On the way there I start to reminisce about the memories I made with the few friends I got.

Gary being my first friend we went through a lot together especially during the academy where we would prank people and sometimes wag class. (wag/wagging is just skipping class)

I can still remember the day I decided to talk to him in the park, very heart warming. Still even with my interference Gary still has his cocky attitude which still makes me laugh till this day because of how he irritates others. Obviously he's not like that with me, but when seeing him annoy another kid who thinks he's the shit, it's quite funny.

The only thing over time that has happened to us is our friendship becoming closer, I even talked to him about crushes and I told him about liking Cynthia which made him laugh hard, but not before teasing him about one of his fans that I believe will become one of his cheerleaders today.

I've recently found a way to boost my Pokemons strength with my aura. My aura after some training in a dojo with Bea improved a little. When I visited her in Galar was very useful. I still don't have any concrete way to improve my aura, but I do feel it increasing once and a while if my strenght spikes up a lot.

The only Pokemon I can boost through aura, are actually only blood bonded Pokemon. This makes my predicament quite complicated as I need two teams, with me only having space for four more blood bonds.

I'm probably not gonna have to use my aura to boost my Pokemon for kanto besides a few fights. The first two I can think of, on the top of my head are Lt. Surge as he will be using Pokemon stronger than mine as his goal given by the league is to teach a trainer to use tactics against overwhelming odds, and because S.S. Anne tickets aren't cheap.

The second person would be against the Viridian gym with the gym leader being Giovanni, to clarify the man has a drugged legendary Pokemon on his side so of course I'm gonna have to use my aura to boost my Pokemon.

After a long run I finally arrived at the Lab. Checking the time I smirk.

7:27

Not bad a new record for me, seven minutes to get to Professor Oak's lab. Now entering the lab I can identify Professor Oak sitting in a chair looking at his two screens. In between the both of us is a machine that is currently in possession of three Pokeballs, with one hanging wide open. Seeing that Professor Oak is entranced with his work I start to talk.

"Professor Oak!" I say this mildly loud.

Professor Oak hearing my voice turns around with a smile.

"Hello my boy!" He says "It's great to see you, ready for your first Pokemon?" He questions me. Vigorously nodding my head I responded.

"Ofcourse old man! I need a head start as time is money!" I say "Also why is one of the Pokeballs already opened? I don't think Gary, Green or Ash have already woken up?" I question, Professor Oak hearing me, sighs to himself.

"My boy, currently in the Kalos region there is an experiment happening which needs a lot of charmanders, which makes it impossible for me to give one out as there are none left. The timing was just extremely bad." Professor Oak says regretfully.

Hearing this, my eyes start to shine. This means that mega evolution is going to be discovered by Professor Sycamore in a few years! This could also explain why there weren't any Pokemon left over for Ash in the anime.

"Professor I'd like to recieve my Pokemon right now and start my Journey!" I say confidently.

Professor Oak hearing me gives me a proud smile and takes a Pokeball out of his drawer. Professor grabbing the Pokeball hands it to me.

Looking at the weirdly Coloured Pokeball I think to myself how the colours match a Venasaurs colour scheme.

Taking the Pokeball I nod at Professor Oak as I start walking outside the Lab and head towards an open field. At the open field I take two other Pokeballs from my pocket and proceed to tap all three of my Pokeballs buttons releasing three red beams.

"Bulbasaur!"

"Gabite!"

"Monferno!"

Smiling at the scene of my Pokemon, I start scanning all of them.

Dam this Bulbasaur is perfection. The only thing missing honestly is maybe, giga drain. Also poison powder has supposedly improved into creating the move toxic, which makes me want to toxic stall even more now.

Bulbasaur somehow has four abilities which is ridiculous. I suddenly wanted to find out what abilities the other starters got when they were given out.

Well I may as well check my Monferno and Gabite as well as I haven't checked their stats in a few months.

[Species: Monferno (The playful Pokemon)

It also has taken E, D, C and B grade supplements.]

Monferno over the years has been training his moves none stop. He did this to the point of getting his fire punch into a signature move!

This is something extremely rare as it improves a damaging move by 25%.

Monferno outside of training his moves has focused more on his body rather than his core for several reasons, one is because he still isn't being used for Pokemon battles as much and because he is still digesting some of the resources I gave him.

In the academy the Top Three students not including me were told this piece of information. They were told to only use resources equivalent to the Pokemons supposed level. Because they can't guess how much strength a Pokemon has they have to guess.

The reason for this is because if you give a Pokemon who has E grade stats a D grade flower the energy the D grade flower gives will overwhelm the Pokemon and can harm the Pokemon. This usually doesn't happen unless a rich snob tries to power his way through with resources or people without knowledge get things wrong.

The consequences are making the growth of their Pokemon take longer with some of their core energy leaking. I got told about this by Professor Oak early on before I started training my Monferno's and later on my Gabites stats.

This is why poor trainers are able to rise up to fame so easily. A trainer with talent can show his worth in a league using a minimal amount of money. When he finally shines and shows his worth he's able to get a sponsor and start splurging money a lot more money for his Pokemon.

That's why being a trainer isn't all just about using money, but also how a trainer uses his Pokemon in battle. This is how trainers like my dad and Raihan got into winning leagues as people without much money.

I'm still not sure why people can't measure a Pokemons physical traits, but I don't care too much as I can see it for myself.

[Species: Gabite ♂ (The cave Pokemon)

Intermediate Tier (lvl 31)

Location of Capture: Blackthorn City (Johto Region)

Type: Dragon/Ground

Ability: Sand Veil (Gives the Pokemon better perception in a sandstorm and gives it the immunity to a sandstorm), Rough Skin (When the Pokemon is hit with a physical attacking move some of the damage is returned to the attacker).

Basic Information: This Gabite is currently very healthy and has been trained as good, a Gabite can be at this level. It's 1.1 times bigger than the average Gabite and is very docile due to its original special training. It also has taken E, D, C and B grade supplements.]

Moves

Beginner: None

Intermediate: Tackle, Bulldoze,

Mastered: Sand-Tomb, Sand-Attack, Dragon Breath, Bite, Dual chop, Outrage (Egg Move).

Enhanced: Iron Head (Egg Move), Slash, Crunch

Signature Move: None

Coordination: C-

Strength: B

Endurance: C+

Agility: B

Core Capacity: C

My Gabite is an extremely great Pokemon. His stats are at times better than Monferno's but his other stats like Coordination and core are a little lacking. I still need to balance out Monferno and Gabites stats but for now it is an extremely good start for my Galar team.
