After my Pokemon finished their meals, I went around the City and just enjoyed myself. Played some arcade games, battled a few people and ate a lot of amazing food.
Right after my little eating spree it started to get dark outside so I went back to the Pokecentre and slept.
----
Right now it's the fourth day I've spent chilling at Cerulean.
Yesterday I decided to just play around and spoil my Pokemo a lot, the day just included me going around and messing about.
At the moment I'm currently in a private training ground I rented to train my Pokemon. These grounds are quite useful because they have the same technology gyms have.
The surrounding walls and floor automatically repair themselves. I'm not sure if it has a limit but this stuff is extremely useful.
I'm currently training all of my Pokemon to get them to an equal amount of strength in terms of level and physical stats. I know it will be difficult but I may as well try.
So what I'm doing right now is giving them their own private training each and helping them progress through the ranks, but when I notice they are getting too much of a high level I will tell them to start focusing on mastering their moves more.
I also bought Protect TMs for all my new team members, some of my older team members like Growlithe and Onix weren't given any TMs since I've caught them which made me realise I've kinda been neglecting some people and favouring others.
So I've done my best to take my time with everyone and feed them food personally, which increased their bonds with me a bit.
Some good news is that Monferno has evolved into an Infernape which wasn't really surprising as he just needed that little push to evolve.
Everyone on the team already has enough battle experience besides the two Clefairies and Elekid, so I was able to get all of my kanto Pokemon to the average level of 20.
Elekid and the two Clefairys only ended up to level 18, which is still good but because of me focusing on levels. They need to start training their moves more.
Crystal Onix was doing the method Brock has told me about, It's about Onix banging itself against the wall, slowly damaging itself to see if it can regenerate tougher crystals to increase its body strength.
The crystals on Onix's body did harden up but they seemed to have changed to a more dense bluish colour which confused me a little. He also worked on Protect afterwards.
Ivysaur worked on his Skull bash and increased its coordination and core strength. The reason for this is that I want him to have a great damaging move incase an opponent is trapped or can't move, giving Ivysaur more versatility.
It's important for Ivysaur to focus on core strength instead of other stats is because when evolving it will have a completely different form, which can make it harder for a Pokemon to get used to and will make it easier for a Pokemon to grow their physical traits.
Growlithe worked on increasing his speed and the move protect. This is so he can hit physical moves easier and will be able to learn extreme speed earlier than anticipated for the league tournament.
Croconaw focused on her core strength and mastering her beginner moves, this will help her more in the long run. When she evolves her form will change quite a bit so I'm not too stumped on focusing on physical traits right now besides maybe coordination.
Duskull just focused on mastery of his moves as I want to slowly build up his physical strength later on as he won't be battling any gyms for me besides maybe Sabrina. But that will be a long time away.
Surprisingly though because of Duskull's low move pool he was easily able to get some moves into master tier and intermediate tier quite easily.
So he got to focus on his core strength with me giving him some E grade ghost flowers.
For the two Clefaries and Elekid, I mainly focused on leveling them up as I didn't have any training planned for them before this. So I could only help them with increasing their physical traits and a little bit of their moves.
Currently I'm just exiting the training room with my Duskull in my sleeve heading back towards leaving my Pokemon to train themselves as I just got a call from Lily.
She just said she is going to be battling the Cerulean City Gym for Cascade badge
So now I'm heading to the gym as she just made an appointment and is about to be battling the Sensational sister.
Entering the building for the second time this week, I make my way to the auditorium and start to listen in.
"Bulbasaur, razor leaf!" a girl shouts as a Bulbasaur on a raft starts to madea a mini tailwind with sharp leafs starting to bombard the enemy Pokemon.
"Dewgong, get under the water!" a familiar gym leader with pink hair shouts.
But unfortunately for the gym leader, it was too late. The razor leaf quickly bombarding the Dewgong before it could escape got twirled and thrown into the walls of the stadium with swirls in its eyes.
"Winner, Bulbasaur! Meaning that the Challenger Lily Green from Pallet town is the winner! The referee shouts announcing the win.
"The match must of been a one-on-on." I mumble as I make my way out of the arena to meet with Lily.
Going back to the entrance of the gym after a short time spent inside the arena, I message Lily to meet up at the entrance of the gym.
She apparently was talking to the sisters about some clothing and how they recognised her name as I was just here a few days ago. I don't want to get into the specifics but the only thing you need to know is that she will be shopping for a few days straight.
After a few minutes of waiting someone taps my shoulder from behind.
"Col you meanie, you left me behind at home in the start of our journey for a headstart." Lily says with vigour as she grabs my arm and drags me to the closest Cafe.
Now at the Cafe we started to chat after Lily lost her sour look.
"Lily, You've decided to catch all the Pokemon in the Kanto dex right?" I ask making her gain stars in her eyes.
"Yeah I have, I just feel more free roaming around and searching for Pokemon. Rather than battling, it feels more relaxing visitng differrent places." she says in an exaggerated pose.
"How many captures you got so far?" I ask curiously
"I'm not sure, I'll have to check." Saying this she puts her hands into her pockets and pulls out a Pokedex. "I've gotten 17 Pokemon registered and 13 Pokemon caught! What Pokemon have you gotten recently?" She says smugly
"I've recently caught a red Duskull and two Clefarys, My Duskull is in my sleeve right now!" I say taunt flaunting my new captures as Duskull takes a little peek outside the sleeve.
"Clefaries, you know how rare a Clefairy is? I heard there are only around a hand full of trainers with one, and you want me to believe you got two!" She says losing her smug look and starts to adapt a surprised look.
"I'm currently training all my Kanto Pokemon to a similar amount of strength right now at a private area. Talking about teams, hows your team looking like so far?" Lily hearing this, starts to look away from me and gets a depressed look.
"My teams doing great so far. The only problems I have right now are Deino. The little dragon wont listen to me no matter what, I've fed him the best quality food, given him resources, beaten him in battles with Bulbie but the little guy wont budge." She says dejectedly
Hearing this, I start to get an ugly expression thinking that it would be definitely difficult to raise one properly. But thinking again it still is a usefull Pokemon to have and is still a sudo legendary.
Getting an idea, my eyes started to sparkle.
"I can take away your problem sis. If you really want to, we can trade Pokemon. My Clefairy for your Deino." I say hiding my excitement.
'This doesn't really count as scamming as Clefairy is an extremely rare Pokemon in its own right, I wonder how they haven't been caught in bulk yet.' I question but soon after get a shiver down my body thinking about how they can snap trainers necks with gravity.
Lily hearing my suggestion starts to brighten up.
"Really? I'm willing to trade him to you if you really want to. I just didn't want to get rid of him because of Deino being a gift from dad." she says sighing
*Lily POV*
'Hehe, Deino is as stubborn as a sleeping Snorlax!' I giggle to myself seeing brothers calm
