The journey from Kanaz City to Naipuru Gym was a two-day voyage. Although the passenger ship might not be as luxurious as the San Antonio from the anime, it still offered a complete set of facilities.

The ship had passenger cabins for rest, a shopping district selling various souvenirs, and even a wine bar for relaxation. Interestingly, the ship explicitly prohibited Pokémon battles on board, possibly due to the fear that powerful moves could cause damage to the ship.

With no battles to engage in, Hu Yang found himself standing bored on the deck with Gengar. As they gazed at the endless sea, his thoughts turned to Roselia's evolution.

For Roselia to evolve into Roserade, it required a Shiny Stone, a rare and expensive evolution item. Unfortunately, Hu Yang's current savings were far from enough to afford one. He sighed at the thought.

As they sailed, the clear blue sky and white clouds surrounded them, while the ship glided smoothly over the rippling sea.

However, the pleasant journey was disrupted by a storm during the night. The ship's power-generating equipment was struck by lightning, causing a complete power outage. To comfort the passengers, the crew distributed candles and informed them that emergency repairs were underway.

In their small cabin, the warm candlelight was a stark contrast to the stormy night outside. Hu Yang clung to Cramorant and Roselia, watching as the ship rocked in the turbulent sea. It was a moment of trepidation.

Unexpectedly, Cramorant spread its wings and gently shielded its trainer, and Roselia bravely clung to Hu Yang's arm. The act of these loyal Pokémon warmed Hu Yang's heart and brought him a sense of security.

As the cabin candles flickered, Hu Yang glanced at Gengar, which was guarding a candle with great care, as if fearing it would go out. In a moment of reflection, Hu Yang called out to Gengar, who seemed puzzled by the summons.

Hu Yang chuckled and admitted it was merely to engage in a conversation. Gengar, in response, raised its head and inquired about the reason for the call.

Hu Yang expressed his regret over not having met Gengar earlier. Surprisingly, Gengar's response was a mix of emotions, and it lowered its head in contemplation.

The looming fear of a shipwreck never materialized, and the storm subsided. When Hu Yang woke up the next morning, he was greeted by clear skies, a calm sea, and a brilliant rainbow stretching across the horizon.

The power on the ship had been successfully restored, and the crew was busy preparing breakfast. Passengers and sailors who had worked tirelessly through the night returned to the cabin, ready for some much-needed rest.

A commotion outside the cabin drew their attention. People marveled at a magnificent, colorful creature that flew through the sky, leaving behind a brilliant rainbow in its wake. It was Ho-Oh, a legendary Pokémon.

The sight of Ho-Oh brought a sense of enlightenment and uplifted spirits to those who saw it. For Hu Yang, it was a good omen, much like the one Ash experienced in the anime before embarking on his journey.

Just as he admired the legendary Pokémon, Cramorant, seemingly captivated by Ho-Oh, spread its wings and took off toward the legendary creature. Hu Yang tried to stop it, but he was too slow, and Cramorant soared away.

Helplessly, Hu Yang watched as Cramorant flew toward Ho-Oh and disappeared from view. He couldn't follow since he couldn't fly. In frustration, he shouted after his Pokémon, but Cramorant was already out of earshot.

Gengar and Roselia, like Hu Yang, were bewildered by Cramorant's sudden departure. The nearby passengers looked on with surprise.

With Cramorant gone, Hu Yang stood on the deck and anxiously awaited its return. Hours turned into a day, but there was no sign of Cramorant's return.

Gengar could only offer comforting words, hoping that Cramorant would return.

Despite the long wait, Cramorant had yet to reappear by nightfall. Disappointed, Hu Yang remained on deck, watching and hoping.

As night fell, the sea was calm, and there was no sign of a storm. Hu Yang, Gengar, and Roselia were the only ones on the deck.

Hu Yang's worry continued to grow. However, in the middle of the night, he heard a familiar Growl from behind him.

Turning around, he saw Cramorant descending from the sky, clutching a rainbow-colored feather in its mouth. Hu Yang was surprised but chose not to scold Cramorant for its earlier behavior.

In the absence of a reprimand, Cramorant appeared puzzled but relieved.

Hu Yang picked up the rainbow feather that Cramorant had retrieved.
