The next day.
After gathering their belongings, Rogue and Dawn prepared to leave for the next town. Their destination was Celadon, which was located a few towns over.
(A/N: Note that this is a completely new world with mixed regions.)
But as Rogue and Dawn set off, a tiny figure trailed behind them. Its sunny yellow fur was accented by black tufts on its ears, tail, and neck. Two bright red dots adorned its cheeks, crackling with the power of electricity.
The Pokemon's small paws patterned quietly against the ground as it stealthily followed Rogue and Dawn into the unknown.
And this Pokemon was none other than Pichu - a tiny but fiercely determined electric-type Pokemon.
For days on end, it had tracked Rogue through dense forests and over treacherous terrain until finally arriving at this edge of Myrtle Forest where it spied on Rogue as he turned Kirlia into a Pokeman!
It was so shocked at that time that it almost exposed itself with a little shout.
But anyways, that wasn't important!
What's important is its reason for finding Rogue!
Why did it need to find him? What was the reason? The answer was clear - revenge. Rogue had taken everything from it. He had brutally killed its mother and devoured her right before its eyes.
Rogue ate her mom! He killed her mom so viciously and ate its mom right in front of it!
After being freed and being taunted by Rogue, Pichu has struggled to sleep, haunted by the traumatic experience it endured. Every time it closes its eyes, the horrifying images from that day resurface.
The memories would flood back to Pichu, igniting a fire of anger within. It could still hear its mom scream out 'Pikachuu!!', and it could feel her warm blood splatter on its face. It would not rest until it avenged her death and made Rogue pay for his heinous crime. Revenge was the only thing driving it forward in this quest for justice.
But as much as it hated Rogue, Pichu knew it couldn't take him on alone. It needed to find allies - partners who would help it defeat Rogue and get revenge for its mother's death.
For now, Pichu could only cower in the shadows, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike. Its tiny body quivered with anticipation and rage at the mere thought of facing Rogue again.
It dreamed of the day when it could triumphantly stand over Rogue, its foot planted firmly on his chest as it spat on his twisted face, finally getting the revenge it so desperately craved.
"Be patient, Pichu. Be Patient and wait for when the time is right!" Pichu cheered for itself and continued to follow Rogue and Dawn with its little legs.
