EPISODE 93: Beginning of the End!*

Despite the efforts of the squadron of fighter jets to take down the deities, most vehicles had been destroyed either by the weather or the power of the two powerful deities. Two helicopters in which the trainers and the main leaders of the conference are riding on alongside eight more jets is what's left of a squadron which was once packed with thirty-two air vehicles.

This is a great opportunity for Lilith to make a return but by the way things seem, they won't be coming to help since they're far from the region. Back at the spiral tower, less talking and more action is needed. I sat at Rayquaza's back, making me feel stiff all of a sudden.

I rode the backs of many legendary Pokemon already but Rayquaza is something different for I am not used to riding a Pokemon that does not operate with wings but rather with the wind. Beside me are Zeal, mounted on her Charizard, and Zinnia mounted on her Altaria.

"On the wings of hope we will ride!" like knights, the three of us shouted with determination as Rayquaza blew a gap in its very own tower with Draco Meteor. From the gap, I can only see the clouds, the rain and since the time I had arrived here it has only worsened.

"It seems zero-visibility out there. Trust the instincts of your Pokemon, they won't misguide you." Zinnia uttered.

And so, the time has finally arrived to end all of this madness for good. Rayquaza and I made the first move, gliding forward through the gap and into the eye of the storm once more while Zeal and the Zinnia followed from behind.

During the clearest parts of the storm, my eyes caught Hoenn's landscape, and there I saw the three titans. The size was quite unexpected for I thought it wouldn't be taller than a Charizard but I guess I was proven wrong. It half the size of Groudon and by the way it acts, it's more of a trouble to Hoenn.

"Don't mind the titans Luna, once Groudon and Kyogre are stopped from fighting then they will return peacefully to their chambers. Do not mind them, everything will be alright." Zeal comforted my anxious looks.

"I-I guess," I muttered. Though Zeal comforted me, a part of me was still flustered for Jenny and the rest are still out there. I then looked to my left and saw our headquarters. The lights are still open, hinting everything is going alright and not a single black-out has occurred unless the lights I am seeing are powered by our generators.

Ten minutes in the air, on our way to the epicenter of the fight and I can see the deities from the distance. I feel the wind trying to push me off Rayquaza's back. I needed to cling on Rayquaza's body tightly to the point I felt like I was pinching it.

"Luna?!" Logan was dumbfounded after seeing me approaching them. From afar, I smiled while waving my hand as the pilots celebrated for assistance had just arrived and they've recently ran low in ammo.

The clock reached four in the morning and the sleep couldn't take over because of the current events. In between Kyogre and Groudon, rayquaza stood. Behind us, Zeal and Zinnia were watching and waiting for the whole havoc to end but little do we all know it is just about to worsen.

Almost letting out its cry to quench the fight, something from behind shot us straight. Three in one, the titans shot us from afar, accidentally causing me to bounce off Rayquaza's body. I couldn't react, I couldn't cope up with what had just happened.

My body feels the wind, pushing me downwards as Charizard, Altaria, and Rayquaza raced to catch me. Below me is cold bitter water and based on the distance between me and those who are trying to save me, it seemed too late.

I closed my eyes but it was unable to seal the tears falling off. Due to how scared I was, I couldn't feel a thing. My whole body was numb, stiff, blood running cold. My breath became short and there I crashed to the bowels of the sea.

I sank deeper, my limbs spread out as the water entered my nostrils, my eyes. Slowly, my body froze, letting the water succumb to me. I ran out of breathe and there, I began to lose consciousness. My energy withered away, I can feel fatigue and nausea.

From above the skies, Rayquaza dived deep. It swiveled around the water and went straight to me. I could hear it, murmuring, somehow begging me to say something. I could also feel it, gazing at my closed eyes as it continued to murmur. With the remaining energy left in my sanity as I continue to sink, I thought deeply about what Rayquaza was trying to tell me.

A thought popped in as I recalled her words. Though weak and feeble, I opened my eyes and clung unto Rayquaza as I mumbled two words in its ears, "Dragon Ascent."

<Ray!>It roared under the water and rose up in maximum swiftness. As it arose with me on its back, I noticed it was somehow changing. It was changing into something marvelous, its mega-evolved form.

As Mega Rayquaza, its body becomes longer and gains more features. Its head becomes longer with the triangle symbol appearing on its forehead. Its eyes now contain yellow pupils and red irises, and black, tree-like markings trail behind its eyes. Its red lips and teeth become gold, and the gold lines connect to those on its lower horns, which take on a broad, triangular shape.

At the outer edges of its lower horns are long, golden, glowing tendrils that each extend to a green, fin-like structure; these tendrils have ring patterns that strongly resemble the yellow markings running along the length of Rayquaza's normal form.

Its two upper horns become longer with a gold line running over them in a V shape, and each upper horn has another glowing tendril that ends in a circular shape with a spike.

Along the length of its body are golden, glowing orbs placed where its ring patterns used to be. The chin, part of the neck, and parts of its serpentine body are changed to the color black. The fins running along its body are now marked with gold lines; the fins on its tail become entirely yellow and substantially longer.

Seeing me rise with Mega Rayquaza brought back the smiles of Zeal, Zinnia, and the rest who were in the helicopters and jets. I'm fueled up to complete this operation. Seeing me too, the titans were aghast and had no courage to fight back against me and Mega Rayquaza.

The spotlight was on me, and Mega Rayquaza was about to quench the fight. Kyogre and Groudon both attacked us with their signature moves but with the extra speed Rayquaza gained from mega evolution, it was able to dodge them as it shrieked louder than ever.

Rayquaza was more of a mother who was scolding two children from fighting. Both Kyogre and Groudon were frightened from the horrors of Rayquaza's yell; therefore, they had decided to stop; thus, transforming themselves into their regular form.

Groudon and Kyogre returned to their chambers, the place where it truly belongs. Next, the seas were calmed and the gloom that shrouded the clouds turned into ecstasy because of our triumph. The thick ebony clouds soon transformed into white thin feathers.

And of course, the trophy of our victory shone above us, the moon and its tiddly stars. The rain stopped and the malevolent winds became graceful dancers. I felt warmth, as if the zephyr was hugging me. Everything was silent, peaceful, and tranquil, like how it should always be.

There is a reason why Zinnia's Salamence has not debuted yet.
