I watched the fire blazing brightly while sitting on the rough rocks, trying to forget that incident with Logan. It was embarrassing for me to fall on someone's shoulders, especially if it was my first time. The blazing fire kept my skin warm as unexpected coldness succumbed to the two of us.
I then remembered an important thing to do. I sent down my little cutie, Bagon, and hugged it tightly. I forgot to groom her earlier this morning since I was in a rush because of enthusiasm. So, I used my spare time as an opportunity to do so. She currently knows four moves. I'm not a dragon expert but, tackle, headbutt, scratch, and dragon rage seems like a good move set for a beginner.
There is definitely room for improvement. On the other side, Logan observed me. Either it is because of how I groom my Bagon or if he was entirely jealous that I have a dragon type.
"You groom your Pokemon?"
"Is there anything wrong with that?"
"Hehe, I don't groom my Pokemon and besides, this is my first time seeing someone groom their Pokemon."
"Well, of course, a trainer like you always pursues in battling. To be the very best, that is what you've ever wanted right?"
"What? Of course! But not entirely."
"What do you mean not entirely?"
"My dream may be to be the very best but I also want to earn something from my journey. You know, I want to grow closer with my Pokemon aside from using them for victory. I treat them like friends rather than slaves. By the way, Bagon looks at you, I'd say, the two of you have a strong bond and that is what I want to achieve with my Pokemon as well.
About you Luna? Do you have anything in mind?"
"Anything in mind?"
"You know? A coordinator? A chef? or maybe an artist? What do you want to be when you grow up?"
And there, my past slapped me hard but I ceased to return to that issue again. I dodged the question by answering, "I'll know someday. Maybe not now."
Suddenly, the gem inside my bag emitted another burst of radio waves. Once more, it caused the whole place to shake but luckily it was minor, unable to cause any rocks to fall or falter. After that minor quake, a Pokemon made its appearance. We were all prickled by this sudden scene, Mew made an appearance.
Mew is a small, cat-like Pokémon with small, pointed ears, blue eyes, a long, thin tail with a large bulge at the end, and large feet with three toes. It is covered with a layer of fine, pink hair, only visible with the aid of a microscope. It has extremely short arms with three fingers on each paw, and has small, orange paw pads on the undersides of its feet.
There, the action started to kick in as Logan tossed out his Skarmory. It was a battle for the ancestor of all Pokemon. It is said that Mew's DNA possesses the genetic composition of every existing Pokémon species, thus allowing it to use all known Pokémon moves
Its possession of every Pokémon's DNA also allows it to de-evolve Pokémon.
I have a ton of Mew back in headquarters but fifty percent of them are cards, the other half are pots, vases, and pillows. Mew, for me, is the most adorable Pokemon and I will capture it to include it on my adorable team.
"Bagon dragon rage!"
"Skarmory! Steel Wing!"
<Mew? Mew! Mew! Mew!>Mew chuckled and laughed, dodging both of our attacks as it swiveled across the air. It dashed down to Bagon, hitting her with its paw and changing its appearance into her. Both Pokemon were angry at each other as they slashed each other's faces with their sharp claws.
"Skarmory! Attack both with Air Slash!"
"What the?! You douchebag, I just groomed my Bagon!" I scolded Logan.
"Well, she's been scratched anyways!" Logan countered as his Skarmory glides through the air and sends a burst of wind towards the two of them. Both Bagons blasted off and one of them transformed back to Mew while the other glowed in a white veil.
My Bagon was changing appearance, it was finally evolving into a sphere. It evolved into a Pokemon known as Shelgon. Shelgon is a quadruped Pokémon that resembles a pupal stage. There are bone structures covering its body, which form a shell with two openings and three ridges on top.
One opening is in front, revealing two yellow eyes, while the other opening is in the back. This bony covering repels enemy attacks, but it makes Shelgon heavy.
According to my Pokedex, [Inside Shelgon's armor-like shell, cells are in the midst of transformation to create an entirely new body. This Pokémon's shell is extremely heavy, making its movements sluggish.] It also learned a single move, replacing scratch into ember.
The moment I looked back at Logan, I saw two Skarmories fighting against each other and I knew this is the perfect opportunity to take my revenge. I was proud of my newly evolved Pokemon, it seemed fierce but slower. It's fine with me. The first attacked I asked it to unleash was no other than its new move, ember. It dealt quite the damage on Skarmory since it is a steel type.
Mew was also damaged and upon transforming itself into its true nature, I threw my Ultra Ball to see if I would catch it. The ball shook once... the ball shook twice... the ball shook thrice... Suddenly, a green light appears but then, the ancestor Pokemon was able to escape. It laughed at me, lowering my self-esteem.
Its laughter, however, only lasted for about three seconds when suddenly it was shot not with a bullet but by a dart that electrocuted the poor Pokemon. I and Logan were aghast by whoever had done this. It turned out it was no other than Courtney and Tabitha, the two admins of the Magma Organization.
Volume four draft is currently in the making. Hmm, I'll try to make the ending less predictable to play with my readers' mind.
