EPISODE 64: Traitor*

With an eagerness to know the truth, me and Charlotte have come up with the decision to eavesdrop the secretary and perhaps learn more about her mysterious actions. I am also curious about who the secretary was talking to yesterday.

"Keep it down Luna." Charlotte scolds by whispering at my ears. We are currently following Matori's footsteps, which appears to be leading us to a cafe in Viridian's plaza.

It is a stroke of luck that the boss gave us a week to rest before participating in missions again. Its also been a while since I first roamed the city with Charlotte by my side.

We watch Matori's actions with sharp and keen eyes while hiding behind a food stall. It seems to her, Matori isn't going to the cafe just to have a brew of hot coffee during a winter day like this.

"Seems to me, she just wants to drink a coffee."

"Come on Luna, we've eavesdropped her yesterday, something fishy is going on with Matori." Charlotte encourages with a rather convincing tone. I am fond of eavesdropping people's conversation but not like this.

"This feels like stalking rather than eavesdropping. The last time I checked, eavesdropping means to listen and not to watch other people's conversation." I utter sarcastically.

"No need for the conversation, all we have to do is to see who Matori is planning to meet and picture them with my dandy rotom-phone!" Charlotte beams with certainty while boasting off the camera of her phone.

We wait subtly and watch Matori through the obvious window. With the help of Charlotte's phone, we could zoom in to further see who Matori will be meeting today. As Charlotte adjusts the lenses of her Rotom-phone, I quickly grab her attention by tapping her shoulder.

"What is Luna?" Charlotte questions while looking at her phone, trying to find the perfect angle.

"Its Professor Violet," I whisper unto her ears. In the meantime, my fingers point to the entrance of the cafe.

"Ah! I knew it, Matori is meeting up with a PGC professor. The boss will surely scold her for this." Charlotte grins viciously and starts to observe the two of them. I also take a closer look at the agendas the two of them are having.

At first, Violet seems to walk to the cafe in a rather calm and subtle pace. As expected, she sits on the other side of Matori's table.

"They're friends!" Charlotte looks at me and hypothesizes after seeing Matori and Violet having a casual conversation. Both of them are even smiling at one another.

"I don't think so," I respond and pointed back. As Charlotte tilts her head back, she saw Matori and Violet suddenly arguing at each other.

Both of them are ferocious against each other. Their ties continue to intensify when Violet stands and whacks the table just like what I did when I was talking with Morgan.

As the fight rages between them, Violet tilts her head to the window and spots me and Charlotte stalking her and Matori. To our surprise, she scowls at us maliciously, even more malicious than Lunala's smirk. Violet then starts to call someone on her phone.

"Hey, what are you two doing there?!" A PGC troops scolds us from behind.

Charlotte quickly responds and takes multiple shots of Matori and Violet. We then try our best to head back to the tower. The PGC also starts to chase us with swiftness and momentum.

"Try to catch us if you can!" Charlotte taunts and grabs my hand. My legs couldn't keep up with Charlotte's maximum velocity.

Her taunt caused the PGC troop to enrage. In response to this, the troop sent out a Wartortle, the next evolution stage of Squirtle.

"Wartortle, use Hydropump!" The troop instructs. Seconds later, Wartortle starts to spew a horizontal fountain of water to us.

"Hang in there Luna!" Charlotte utters then tilts me and her to an alleyway, giving us the opportunity to dodge the attack. The troop, on the other hand, persists to chase us.

"Dead End?!" The both of us yell and exclaim. Charlotte was expecting a short cut but was greeted by a brick wall. I swallow my saliva gravely, trying to think of other options.

"Heh! Both of you have nowhere to run. Hand me the phone or if you don't want, delete those photos instead." The troop bargains, with his Wartortle preparing to attack.

"Lily, time to take action!" I toss Lily's Pokeball to the sky. She then lands gracefully on my grasp.

With her on my arms, I ordered her to use Razor Leaf but Wartortle was somehow able to dodge the attack.

"Foolishness! Wartortle, use Water Pulse!" The troop instructs.

Me and Lily are hit with a large pulse of water, causing both of us to bounce back. Due to Wartortle's immense power, my back was able to hit the brick wall.

"Luna, not now! Control yourself." Charlotte comforts after seeing me glare at the troop. Even the troop himself is afraid of my eyes.

<Pet?>Petilil ponders on my look as if I was a stranger to her. He has gone to far this time, and its time to take certain actions, yes, certain actions.

"You're the one who murdered Morgan? Please don't hurt me too." The troop begs on his feet, asking mercy from me.

"Runaway, run away, and never return," I demand. Charlotte felt calm after deciding to let the man go instead.

The troop responds with a smile and rushes away from the both of us. Still, this doesn't satisfy me yet. After the troop left, I released Absol from her Pokeball.

"Absol, make him bleed," I mutter with a glorious smirk.

<Absol!>Asbol gallops and sniffs the floor. She detects the man's scent and chases after him.

"Luna?! Ask Asbol to return right now. Control yourself, let me be of assistance." Charlotte instructs.

"I don't need your help!" I yell at her. She tries to tap my shoulder but I push her back without even realizing my actions. Once again, Aggression reigns supreme and even I have the compatibility to hurt my friends.

Minutes later, Absol returns with blood on her jaws. I rub her back as a compliment and sent her to her Pokeball.

Once the commotion ended, I blinked my eye and suddenly, I felt like I've just woke up from a dream. I look at my surroundings and saw Charlotte with a scar on her shoulder.

I return to reality, and realized that this is the work of my actions. Luckily, my aggression spared the man and ordered Absol to wound him instead of killing him.

"Charlotte, I'm so sorry!" I rush to her with a concerned face. I try to lift her up yet she refused to let me.

Her face showed signs that she's angry and furious at me. No matter how many times I try to apologize, but she continues to walk and neglect me as if I am a mirage.

"I thought you didn't need my assistance." Charlotte halts then mutters. She sheds a tear then starts to run away from my presence.

What have I done?
