EPISODE 51: A Reunion Like No Other (The Second Part)

"Peekaboo!" Courtney surprised us from behind, still with a childish demeanor. The two of us stood up from the ground.

From the lack of confidence, Jenny released a ton of breath and exasperated at the Courtney. Meanwhile, I stood at the corner, watching the two of them gaze unto each other's eyes. I blenched.

"Co-Courtney? I- I thought you were kidnapped and Team Magma- wh-why are you wearing the same uniform as them?" Jenny beseeched with her eyes gleaming with tears. There was a moment of silence between the two of them. Soon, Courtney's eyes began to glimmer too, but that all changed when she shifted to a scowl.

*chuckles* "Oh my, well if it is not my dear sister. You're going to meddle in Team Magma's affairs? You're either absolutely fearless, simply ignorant, or both!" yelled, the admin is a very childish manner.

"No... This cannot be. Courtney-" Jenny grabbed her hand as a droplet of tears turned into an outburst. Courtney exasperated back, pulling her hand away from Jenny's. Inside, her anger fumes.

"I am tired of living with you and mother."

"Mother is dead, Courtney. This isn't what she would've wanted. Impossible, I thought you were dead. I- I- I've missed you." She could no longer hold the rest of her tears. She let them flow like a downpour as she jolted to her sister and hugged her endearingly.

"D-dead?" her childish manner shifted into shock as her heart skipped a beat.

"Co-Courtney. Please come back. Leave Team Magma and walk away." begged, the poor Jenny. Hearing her words, her sister quickly pushed her to the ground. That hug turned out to be very quick as her anger continued to heat up.

"Such a shame I was not able to attend her funeral. Hee, hee! Leader Maxie promised us a new world for humanity. I see, no wonder why he lacks faith in me. Hee hee! I will end you and prove to our leader that I am ready to fight by his side. I won't shed a tear for you. Target locked!" cackled, the admin.

"I don't understand what is happening." I interrupted their conversation.

"Oh my. Is this your friend, big sister? Never knew you had one. Perhaps she would like to watch your ninth symphony. Hehe!

Hmm... it looks like you are keeping secrets from your friend over here. Well then, why don't you spill the beans?" chuckled, Courtney as she placed her left foot unto Jenny's chest.

"Go on..." Courtney leaned her head forward and smiled morbidly at the Jenny. She slowly tightens her press unto her chest.

"What is she talking about?" I asked Jenny in confusion.

"Tell your friend our little secret. Why did I leave in the first place?" Despite how hard Courtney's press is, Jenny refused to talk. Seeing the pain she tried to tolerate, I demanded the admin to release her at once. Upon releasing her foot, Jenny gasps for oxygen.

"Not much of a story-teller, my sister is. I guess I will be the one to tell the tale. I always loved my dearest sister, and at times I'd be playful towards her. There was this school in which our parents enrolled us in, and I always stayed by my sister's side, playing and fiddling with her.

Of course, Jenny is a woman who wanted to kept her reputation intact. My childish demeanor is an annoyance for her. People would laugh at Jenny because of the way I speak to my big sister and the way I acted in front of her. Though, am I to be blamed for this? If it was not for my mental illness in which I was born with I won't be acting like... oh, what is the word? A robot! Ahahaha!

After school, Jenny would always insult me, telling me to stay as far from her as possible. I did not mind her words, since all I ever wanted was to express my love for my dearest sister. Moving on to the days after our father passed, I noticed my sister was quarreling with mother.

I eavesdropped them, and... I overheard things. Jenny kept on complaining about me in front of my mother, saying how the people laughed at her because of me. It was at that night when her words were able to hurt my feelings. The next morning, my big sister got sick so she couldn't go to school. I went alone instead and on my way, I thought of the words she told our mother about me. Due to this, I was distracted and did not notice a vehicle pulled over and suddenly took me.

Indeed, I was kidnapped. I wonder if this news was music to my sister's ears. Though, I do not treat that event as a troublesome kidnapping scenario but rather than an opportunity. After being kidnapped I was sent to our headquarters which is in... oh, almost slipped. The location is none of your business. I met our leader in which he inspired me to join Team Magma.

His dream... to make the world larger for humanity's future, I was awed by it and from that day, I decided to work for Leader Maxie sir. My sister must've lied, didn't she? She never told you she and I were studying in the same school, she never told you how ruthless she was to me, didn't she? She faked my age in front of you. Now you know the reason why my poor Jenny had no friends, she was bullied because of me." explained, Courtney childishly.

"That was before. The moment you were gone, I regretted everything. Forgive me." Jenny stood to her knees and begged for forgiveness. She held her sister's legs tightly.

"It is too late now. Slurp!"

Knowing that Jenny lied to me all along, I was indeed infuriated. She told me her sister was a toddler who goes to school. She was right she didn't have any friends but I never knew she treated her sister like how Chloe treated me, a woman with a burden to bear...
