CHAPTER 79 – SHAMOUTI ISLANDS

In the previous chapter we see how Ash, Latias and Pikachu manage to find Koharu and discover that in reality neither Nancy nor Verity had entered the cave so they were still in their dimension, after thinking for a while, they discovered that the only way back would be through the cave, but as they did not have enough energy they tried to launch an electrical attacks to the sky in which there was a storm, As if the sky was angry, it launched a huge lightning bolt that hit directly in the cave, making our heroes able to return.

We had all crossed into our dimension without incident and when we arrived we saw Nancy and Verity waiting outside.

"Guys!" - said Nancy happily running to my embrace.

"We thought something had happened to you!" - exclaimed Verity, doing the same as Nancy.

"How long has it been since we left?" – I asked.

"Not much, like 10 minutes, but it was like hours" - Nancy replied.

"10 minutes?" – I asked in confusion.

"We stayed there for hours, how strange" - Koharu added.

"There, what do you mean by that?" - asked Verity.

Then we proceeded to tell them what we experienced on the other side.

"So you're telling me that you traveled to another dimension?" - asked Nancy.

"And that you met another Ash who was also making his journey, but with other companions who are not us?" – asked Verity.

"To sum up, yes" - I nodded.

"Why do so many strange things happen to us?" - Nancy sighed.

"Nancy is right, but we can't stay here all day, how about we go to Vermillion City and take a well-deserved break?" -said Verity.

We all nodded at this because the truth is that we needed a break urgently, honestly I was exhausted and all I wanted was to watch a good movie and then sleep, although it does not seem like it a trip to another dimension did not leave everyone very tired.

With that in mind, we set off for Vermillion City.

Luckily, there were no other incidents and we managed to get to Vermillion City.

We did not even stop to admire the beautiful landscape that the City offered us at sunset because we went directly to Koharu's house to rest, between the trip to another dimension and all those hours walking, I just wanted to sleep.

After arriving at Koharu's house, his father, Professor Cerise welcomed us with open arms.

It was almost night so we decided to have dinner, to tell the truth, Koharu wanted to cook for us, but it would not be fair if I let her cook in that state, so I convinced her to order some food at home, specifically some pizzas.

"By the way, some time ago I received data from a Victini, a Meloetta, a Manaphy, a Latias and a Latios, I must say that you are doing such a good job that you deserve a great reward" – said Professor Cerise while we were having dinner.

The word "reward" caught the attention of everyone.

"It seems that I have caught your attention, so without further preambles I will say it, thanks to your great work I have got an incredible amount of money for the great information you have gotten, so I have booked all of you including 'Bianca' for an all-expenses-paid holiday in a 5 star hotel in Shamoutti Islands, an archipelago located south of Kanto specifically in the Orange Archipelago" – said Professor Cerise.

Shamouti Islands, what does that name sound like?

"Aren't those islands the wonderful tourist destination everyone is talking about?" – asked Koharu.

"Exactly, the most famous in all of Kanto and Johto" – he nodded.

But Koharu stared at him.

"Is something wrong, Koharu?" – asked the professor somewhat nervously.

"I know that you're hiding us something" - Koharu said.

"I-I don't know what you're talking about" - he said nervously.

I already knew that this was not going to be as beautiful as it was painted.

"We've caught you dad, you'd better talk or we'll not go anywhere" - Koharu said.

We all nodded at this.

"Okay, I admit, you caught me, the truth is that I want you to do something for me there" - said the professor.

"What's wrong?" – I asked curiously.

Let's see what or who prevents us from having this amazing holidays.

"You see, Shamouti Islands is not only a touristic place, but also the home of three specimens of adult legendary birds, Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres" – began to explain the professor.

"Let me guess, you want us to gather information about them" - Nancy said.

"Yes, but apart from that, I need your help for something else" - he nodded.

"Is something wrong?" – I asked when I saw his expression.

It was something serious, as if something was about to happen, wait a minute, Shamouti Islands, the legendary birds... mother of god is the setting of the second movie! Does that mean I'm going to live through those events too? I hope not, that movie was good, but in my opinion I did not like it too much, anyway, let's hope there is no problem.

"It's not that anything happened, but one of my friends there told me that he had seen suspicious people hanging around the area lately, as if they were looking for something" - he replied.

"Do you think you can repeat what happened in Alto Mare or something similar?" - asked Verity.

But Latias didn't seem to like Verity reminding him of that, after all, his brother almost died there.

"Ah, sorry Latias, I didn't want to remind you of that!" – Verity said immediately.

Latias nodded and smiled, so I guess it's not that the comment hurt her much either, thank goodness Latios survived, by the way, now that I realize, the events of Latios and Latias happened in the fifth movie while that of the legendary birds was the second, why am I not living these events in order, Does that mean I'm destined to relive all the movies? If this continues, then after this the third Pokémon movie will most likely come, what's more, will Molly exist in this dimension? Mother of God, I sincerely hope so, I always hate the end of that movie, I would have liked her to become Ash's sister, I know that not many or nobody considered that when they saw that, but I did and the truth is that I would have liked to see it.

"Very well, let's get back to the subject, my friend has a granddaughter whose name is Fleura and she is in charge of watching that the orbs of ice, lightning and fire remain in their respective places so as not to disturb the adult birds" – he continued explaining.

"But I thought there were more species, which were not the only ones" - Verity added.

"That's right, however, these birds as I mentioned are adults and have been protecting the place for centuries, many other specimens roam the region or even others, but these have always remained there ... well them and their descendants" – he explained.

"Do they also breed there?" – I asked curiously.

After all this did not appear in the original movie, so I am curious about the subject, to tell you the truth, I do not remember too well the events of that movie, if I remember correctly, some Pokémon hunters tried to take the birds and Ash and the others save them, but then they have to prevent the enraged birds from destroying the entire archipelago so they summon Lugia.

"Yes, as I said, these specimens are responsible for defending the entire archipelago from future dangers, in short, summing up, your mission is simple, help Fleura, which will be waiting for you the day after tomorrow at the Pokémon Center, do not worry about the time because I will warn her and then help her capture those suspicious people and that's it, if you want and you have plenty of time, investigate a little the legendary birds would not be bad, but that task is optional, the priority is to help Fleura "– explained the professor.

In short, we will have to go through the events of the film again... although if I remember correctly, Ash and his companions come when everything is bad already, if nothing has happened yet... doesn't that mean we can capture that hunter before he tries anything? Wow, if that's true, it's very good news, I would not like to go through the events of that movie, yes, I must admit that the OST is incredible.

"I guess if someone needs help... we can't refuse" - Nancy sighed.

"Yes, after all we are not that kind of people" - Verity nodded.

"That's right, if that girl needs our help, then we will have to help her, we can't just ignore her like that" - Koharu nodded.

Latias and Pikachu also nodded and I also wanted to meet Fleura and help the birds to avoid disaster, so determined.

"Well, then our next stop before the gym will be... Shamouti Islands!" – I said.

"Yay and after helping an amazing holidays are waiting for us!" – they all said.

"I knew you would help me and not let me go alone! Perfect, because you will leave the day after tomorrow, since tomorrow I have to arrange everything related to the trip" – said the professor.

After this, the professor continued to explain us about the wonders of the islands, being honest, I do not remember if even the Island was a tourist complex in the movie or if it was just the 3 islands, but, anyway, in real life they were both, so we can enjoy an amazing vacation after helping Fleura, for Arceus, that we can capture that hunter before he does something, this time I don't want to live the movie.

Two days later.

Two days had passed since that conversation and it was time to go to Shamouti Island, what had happened yesterday? Nothing special, just one day when we did the lazy, watched TV, went for a walk, etc. So it's not worth mentioning what happened.

Now, to get to Shamouti Island there were two ways, the first was to travel by plane from Saffron City and the second by boat from Vermillion City, that is, from here, what is the difference? Well, by boat it takes about 6 hours to get there and by plane 1, so you can guess what transport we use.

The trip passed peacefully and without incident, today it was Koharu and Nancy's turn to be by my side and they no longer argued as before, so everything was perfect.

When we arrived we realized that it was a great day, sun devoid of any cloud and such intense heat that we wanted to bathe on the beach, which we would obviously do after helping Fleura.

Quickly and thanks to the GPS of the Rotom Dex, we arrived at the Pokémon Center which was not far from the airport, specifically we arrived in 25 minutes without entertaining too much, we only bought water and some ice cream along the way.

The Pokémon Center was like everyone else, nothing that stands out, really, haven't you thought about making a Pokémon Center that's different? Except for Alto Mare I did not see any changed.

Anyway we entered the Pokémon Center, ah, I forgot to mention that on the way Professor Cerise called us and told us that Fleura was already in the Pokémon Center waiting for us and not to worry about recognizing her because we would do it right away and so it was because she was the only person with clothes that stood out above the others.

She was sitting at one of the tables drinking what appeared to be lemonade.

"It must be that girl" - Nancy said.

"It must be her, she is the one who stands out the most" - Koharu agreed.

With that said, we approached the girl.

"I excused me, are you Fleura?" – I asked.

"Yes, and who are you?" - she asked.

"Right, I'm Ash from Pallet Town and this is my best friend and Pikachu partner and they are Nancy, Verity, Koharu and Bianca" – I introduced myself.

"Delighted" – and those were the girls.

Latias and Pikachu just raised their hands and waved.

"Very good... delighted, but I would like to know what you want, I am waiting for someone" – said Fleura.

"It's true, we are Professor Cerise's envoys, he sent us here to help you with a problem" – I nodded.

"Perfect, so it's you, please sit down, let's talk about things! do you want to have a drink?" – said Fleura with a smile.
