CHAPTER 42 – ROXY'S CALL, DIRECT TO THE SAFARI ZONE

In the previous chapter we see how our heroes arrive at what seemed to be a rural house, there they meet Jake, the third coach who was in New Moon Island and explains that all these people met here for a flight competition, so, after insisting a little, Jake gets Ash to participate in that competition, The bad thing is that both crossed the finish line at the same time so they do not know if it was a draw or not.

The competition was over and all the trainers were already resting while they gave a reward to their Pokémon, obviously I did the same with Charizard and gave him his Favorite Berries as appetizers, which made him quite happy.

Not long after, Jeremy, the judge returned to announce the results.

"All the contestants this year have done excellent, but unfortunately there can only be one winner, I have been watching carefully which of those two talented coaches crossed the finish line before, after watching it carefully on numerous occasions, I have determined that the winner is Jake!" – announced Jeremy.

We all clap even me, after all you can not always win, there are times you lose and that is not why you have to get angry or something like that, you have to know how to lose.

"Very well, if the winner can come here and collect the prize if he is so kind!" – said Jeremy.

"This year's prize has been courtesy of the Indigo League and here, in front of everyone, I present Jake with nothing more and nothing less than 300,000 Pokedollars!" – said Jeremy.

Everyone in the place was shocked by the prize, even me and the girls, it should be said that such an amount of money is not easy to raise for someone normal, salaries in this world vary depending on the job, but those who charge the most are the gym leaders, as I heard from Wendy, doctors, athletes and those types of work are even inferior to the gym leaders, although I suppose that the Elite Four and the Champion will charge even more, I don't know.

"No, I love camping, if I have the opportunity I prefer to sleep outside, anyway, don't worry, from here, Fuchsia City is 15 minutes or so, see you" – and saying this he ran away getting lost in the sunset.

"Well girls, I think it's time for us to get going" – I said to the girls.

"Yes, I want to get there before nightfall, I'm hungry" - Verity nodded.

It took us about 15 minutes to get to Fuchsia City and another 5 minutes to get to the Pokémon Center, which was very close to the entrance.

"Yes and apparently registered his number with a strange name, anyway" – I sighed.

"Take him to see what he wants, anyway, Nancy is showering and Verity has just finished" - Koharu said.

I nodded and took the phone, as it seems that she made a video call, I could see her in her short-sleeved pajamas, white, the pants I could not see them because I could only see her face and a little torso.

"Good evening" - she said.

"Ah, good night Roxy, did you want anything?" – I asked.

"No... I just wanted to talk for a while" - she denied.

Koharu and I looked at each other in surprise, why did this girl suddenly want to talk? Either way, it's a good step, if I want to conquer it this is a good opportunity.

"Sure, what do you want to talk about?" – I nodded with a smile.

"Wow, I can't believe I actually called you that girl" - Nancy said as soon as she finished.

After a restful sleep and a delicious breakfast, it was time, the time to challenge Koga to get our 5th medal, the thing is that again, Koga was not in the gym, according to the referee, he was with a friend in the Safari Zone, apparently discussing some work issues, apparently he was also a kind of collaborator with the Safari Zone, the good thing is that he said he would be back in a couple of hours and that we could go get him while we took advantage of the time to catch some new Pokémon and that was precisely what we did.

Basically we went directly to the Safari Zone, the entrance was a rustic building with a sign that read the words "Safari Zone", there were also many people in the queue so we had to wait a long time until we could enter.

"Welcome to the Safari Zone, the entrance is 300 Pokedollars per person, are you 4 coming?" – asked the receptionist.

"Excuse me, but three of us are challengers and according to the website there is a discount, at least according to what I saw" - I said.

"Of course, just show me your trainer's licenses, then we will check it against our database and if everything is correct you will be granted the relevant discount" – nodded the receptionist.

The girls did the same and showed their licenses, and after checking that everything was fine on the computer next to me, I smile.

"All right, because it will be 100 Pokedollars for the 3 of you and 300 for the young lady over there, do you want to pay cash?" – said the receptionist.

Then I showed my Rotom Dex and through the App I paid the tickets of the three girls and mine.

"Very well, as soon as you enter you will find a small wooden house, show the ticket and you will be given the Safari Ball, specifically 30, if you want more each Safari Ball costs 20 extra Pokedollars" – explained the receptionist.

After nodding and then collecting the tickets, we entered the Safari Zone and were impressed with the view, my god, it was huge with numerous Pokémon swarming around, and in front there was a small wooden cabin, so we approached.

We all showed our tickets and then they gave us 30 Safari Ball each, we kept them in the backpack that the same man gave us, I guess it was included in the price, plus a map.

"Have a good time catching your favorite Pokémon, by the way, there is a time limit of 6 hours, it is also forbidden to use your own Pokémon, please do not forget that, enjoy it" – said the man.

"Hey, I don't know about you, but the truth is that I would like to explore all this alone, otherwise we will not have time to see everything" – Nancy suggested.

"I agree, plus I want a specific type of Pokémon and I don't want to show you yet" - Verity nodded.

"I want to go see the Eevee evolutions and I'll be there for a while" - he nodded.

"Perfect, see you here in 5 hours, do you have any problems?" – I added.
