Training Trailblaze Treecko Today

Ace looked at Treecko and said, "What you need most right now is speed." Treecko nodded and crossed his arms, "Tree." Ace waved a finger, "But you also need a strong attack at the same time. There happens to be a move just like this."

Treecko looked at Ace with a shocked face, "Tree?!" Ace nodded, "Yes!" Treecko let out a breath of disbelief, "Treecko."

'I'm shocked'

Ace brought Treecko to some grass on the side, saying, "When I walk by, you jump out of the grass and attack me. Use your tail and go back into the bushes. It has to be very fast, before I can even know what attacked me, you have to be gone."

Treecko scratched his head, "Treecko?" Ace rolled his eyes, "You can't hurt me. Alright, let's do it." He walked away and Treecko stood in the grass, blinking cutely.

Ace walked by the grass, "Oh, I'm an unsuspecting Pokemon. I'm sure I'll never be attacked…" as he caught Treecko like lightning.

Treecko hung upside down, "Treecko?!" Ace looked at him and laughed, "You're not fast enough! It has to be faster! Faster than sound!" Treecko didn't know anything about these principles, looking at him blankly.

Ace thought about it and whistled.

Dragapult flew over and Ace smiled, "Show Treecko the fastest speed." Dragapult looked at Treecko, saying, "Draga." as he aimed his head towards the sky before firing out the Dreepy!

Treecko was dumbfounded, "Treecko!?" Dragapult nodded, "Draga!" as he demonstrated a few more times. Ace waved, "Alright, enough. Tell Noivern to take Taillow to fly with him… Wurmple doesn't matter too much, but have Hydrapple teach Torchic Flamethrower." Dragapult nudged Ace and cried out, "Dragapult!" 

Ace scratched his chin, "Go. Oh, also, take Beldum around with you." Dragapult floated away as Treecko jumped into the bushes, "Treecko!" Ace nodded, "This move is called Trailblaze. You won't need grass when you get used to it."

Ash was watching and ran over, "Teacher, can I do it?" Ace looked at Ash and blinked, "Sure!" Ash smiled and waved at Treecko, "Come on, Treecko! You can do it!" Treecko nodded seriously.

Ace watched Ash walk by and Treecko attacked him. Ash caught Treecko, smiling, "Close!" Treecko frowned, "Tree!" as he tried again.

Ace stretched his arms, walking over to May and the Eggs.

May looked up and said hesitantly, "Mr Ace… I don't know about training… You know, I'm just a Contest Trainer." Ace looked at her and waved his finger, "I don't know much about Contests, but I do know that they have parts that require battle, right?"

May nodded and Ace continued, "So the stronger you Pokemon is, the easier the battling stage, no?" May blinked, "I guess so…" but why does something feel wrong… Ace nodded and crossed his arms, "Plus, the stronger a Pokemon is, the more moves they can perform. A Level 1 Pikachu can only use Nuzzle and Thundershock."

Pikachu: ????

Ace continued, "While Nuzzle and Thundershock can work in a Contest, a greater variety of moves will lead to more spectacular shows. After all, a Pokemon Contest shows off the Pokemon, not the Pokemon Trainer. The stronger a Pokemon is, the more tools it has to show itself off."

Ace pointed and said, "Look at Noivern. I can show off his Strength in a contest and probably get a high ranking even though I know nothing about Contests mainly because he has been groomed and trained to a very high level. But! If you have both…"

He looked at May with a smile as she muttered, "Then you can get twice the result, half the effort!" she smiled at Ace, who nodded, "Look, you're learning already!" May smiled happily as the eggs shone.

May was shocked, "They're hatching?!" she turned to the side, seeing Ace far away with a smile. She was dumbfounded as the two Pokemon hatched, looking at May with big watery eyes… well one of them!

A nice little Snom. The other one seemed to be wearing a hat as it shivered.

May hugged the two gently, "Hello." Snom's little mouth feelers touched May's face and it chirped happily, "Snom!" Hatenna curled up in May's arms, "Hat…" May played with them for a moment, then realized, "Oh! I don't have Milk!"

Ace appeared with two bottles of Milk, "You have to be careful with them from now on. Hatenna can get overwhelmed when it senses intense emotions for long periods of time. Though, using her for Contests is fine, she'll just need breaks."

May looked at Hatenna, "You're so cute!" Hatenna hugged May's wrist, "Ha-Hatenna…" May gently stroked Hatenna as Snom crawled over, "Snom! Snom!" Ace laughed, "Looks like you'll have your hands full soon."

May looked at Ace in shock, "But Mr Ace… These are your Pokemon?" Ace waved his finger, "The first person a Pokemon sees will form a special relationship with them. They think you're their mother. Who am I to break apart that relationship?" he sighed sarcastically as May's lips twitched.

Ace coughed and continued, "Well, anyway. Hatenna is a special Pokemon. Her evolutions are even more special. This Pokemon is always Female. Its first Evolution, Hatterem is… well, violent! You can look at the Pokedex… while it's not full of Galar Pokemon yet, Hatterem should be there! But this is good training for you, May."

May looked at him, "Huh?" Ace explained, "Hatenna needs a calm evironment. Where it usually lives is completely alone. Her evolution line is a bunch of loners. They don't even speak most times. But in contests you need calmness to perform well! So take this as a learning project…" he paused before adding, "If you really can't handle it, I will take her back."

May protected Hatenna, laughing, "Haha… That's okay?!" 

You want to take my babies?! You're crazy!

Ace was stunned before laughing twice and going to check on Ash…

Damn! Surrounded by crazy women!

Ace looked at Ash, as expected! You're quite ruthless, Ash. The first wife is crazy, the second one is too! Hopefully the third is more normal…

Though, if he remembered correctly, Serena was probably the calmest out of them all. Very caring and loving. Clearly not crazy at all. If she was like Elesa… Ace wiped his sweat, oh my.
