Sending an Assassin for Tobias (Paul)

After watching Paul and Cynthia fight, Ash wanted to go up, but Ace stopped him, "Cynthia played twice already, give her a break, no?" Ash scratched his head and sighed, "Aw…" Cynthia smiled and waved her hand, "Just come, Ash. I have more Pokemon."

Ash grinned and said, "Come on, Pikachu!" Ace shook his head and looked at Paul, who was walking away. Ace went after him, "You're leaving?" Paul stopped and turned, looking at him, "There's no point in staying. I don't want to beat you with some random Gym pokemon."

Ace tilted his head, "Then what?" Paul looked at him seriously, "When we get stronger, we'll come back and get your badge. I don't want some pity Badge from you." Ace rubbed his chin looking at him, "You might not get into the Conference like this, Paul."

Paul snorted and said, "It's all for training. Whether I get into the conference or not, I don't care. I just want to become stronger! Conferences aren't everything." Ace nodded and smiled, "You're not too bad, kid. You know what's going on!"

He paused and curled his lips, "Let me give you a bit of info." Paul looked at him seriously as Ace continued, "Conferences are, of course, not really important. But… Have you ever heard of the World Coronation Series?" Paul frowned and shook his head.

Ace explained, "It's a Tournament to crown the best trainers in the world. There's 4 Classes based on Rank and Win/Loss ratio. The lowest is Normal Class which is from 1000 and down. The next is Great Class which is 100-999, then you have Ultra Class which is 9-99, and finally Master Class which only has 8 Ranks."

Paul blinked, "A world ranking?" Ace nodded and curled his lips, "I think you've got the chops to get into the Master Class, what do you think?" Paul frowned and thought about it, "The Master Class is just Champions, no?"

Ace waved his finger, "Not necessarily. Not everyone wants to be a Champion, there's countless trainers. Some of them are very strong but don't want the responsibility of being Champion. As a Champion, you can ask Cynthia, she has to take care of the entire Region and clean up bad guys all day, she barely has any time for herself. That being said, most of the Top 8 should be Champions."

Paul's lips twitched, going in a circle, I was right… Ace pointed at Paul, "But you're not a Champion. Don't tell me you're scared of a couple Champions?" Paul frowned, "No, obviously not." Ace patted his shoulder, "So then? What's that sour look for? Listen, I'm not exactly sure how long until the next World Coronation Series is, but I'm expecting you to be there!" 

Paul looked at him and Ace nodded, "Yeah! I will be participating with a full Main Team lineup!" Paul thought of the Noivern and nodded, "Alright. But why tell me?" Ace smiled, "Because I think you have a good chance of getting into the Master Class!"

Paul asked after a second, "That's not all, right?" Ace rubbed his nose and replied, "You're not really cute, you know that?" Paul rolled his eyes as Ace got serious, "There's a guy who's going to Participate in this Conference. He has a Latios and Darkrai, he's basically there to show off and stomp everyone to be famous. I want you to drag him down and beat the shit out of him!"

Paul was dumbfounded, "What?!" Ace looked angry, "Yeah! This guy needs a beating, right?! I mean, who does that!? I don't doubt this guy has all Legendary Pokemon! I mean, other people have Legendary Pokemon, but the Conference is for Rookie trainers, not to come cook noobs for fun! So if you see this guy, beat him violently for me, okay?"

Paul's lips twitched, "You don't act like a Gym leader…" Ace rolled his eyes, "If I didn't act as a Gym Leader, I would've sent Genesect to slaughter you, no?" Paul froze and Ace laughed, rubbing his head, "Don't worry about all that nonsense. Just think about what I said. Of course, the second thing… but mainly the First thing!"

Paul nodded, "Well, if I go to that Tournament… I will be the winner!" Ace gave him a thumbs up, "That's the spirit, Paul! Hope you don't meet me early!" Paul shook his head as Ace stopped him from leaving, handing him a backpack.

Paul looked at it and frowned, Ace smiled, "Consider it me sponsoring you. This is an Ultra Series Space Backpack from my Company. It has the logo on it and everything, you just have to carry it around." Paul thought about it and nodded, "Alright."

Ace smiled and added, "There's also new Training Gear in the bag, but open it when you leave town. Also, you gave that Azumarill to a kid in Oreburgh, right?" Paul nodded and Ace rubbed his chin, "Not bad but you should consider catching another one. The one you used had Thick Fat for its ability. The other Abilities are Huge Power and Sap Sipper."

Ace taught Paul, "Huge Power doubles its Attack Stat and stat changes. Sap Sipper boosts your attack when hit with Grass Type moves, on top of that, you don't take the damage from the Grass Type at all. For Water Pokemon, it's a powerful ability. With Huge Power and some Fairy Type Physical moves, you can basically kill Dragon Types easily."

Paul thought about it and nodded, "Alright. I'll think about it." Ace patted his head, "Hope to see you soon!" Paul looked at Ace before walking off, waving over his shoulder. Ace waved, "Tell Reggie I said hello!" Paul waved again and disappeared.

Ace rubbed his chin and grinned, "That should make it harder for this Ash kid… But his Protagonist Aura should be blazing, right? If Paul is stronger, Ash will explode with potential to beat him… Well, we'll have to wait and see!"

Of course, the Training Gear was only one part… There was also a Super Electrizer, and 2 Pokemon Eggs.

Not the perfect abilities, but it was better than unnerve… You could make a case for Fluffy, but adding another weakness was a bit… Ace pursed his lips, if he could choose, he would slap Bewear with Huge Power and fight against the world!

Unfortunately, the System chose Abilities for eggs. It chose a better but not unreasonable pool of abilities… Of course, this wasn't all the time, sometimes you can hit the Jackpot and get broken abilities, but most of the time you had to change them yourself.

Like Slaking. If you take away Truant, it's better than a legendary Pokemon! Ace could actually do this, but it would be so boring. Any ability is better than Truant… except Slow Start, obviously…

But! If a Slaking had Huge Power, even Arceus had to be afraid, right?

Don't mention it, Ace tried this a long time ago. The Ability change didn't work at all! He couldn't change it to Huge Power so he gave up. It could be other things but the Legendary Mythical Huge Power Slaking was banned from the world…

It's a shame really… Just use a few Power Up Punches and you can punch the Planet in half, right?
