CHAPTER 25 – EFFORT IS ALWAYS REWARDED

"Mander!" – shouted the Shiny.

His new friend was right, if he gave up now all his efforts would have been in vain and he didn't want that! He wanted to win, he wanted to show that he was no longer going to be intimidated by anyone! He would be strong, he had to be strong, he had to fight!

CHARMANDERRRRRRRR!" – shouted Charmander.

Suddenly, an extremely bright light illuminated the entire place almost blinding everyone present.

"He's evolving!" – Celeste exclaimed.

That's right, for the second time since he arrived in this world, Ash was witnessing the phenomenon known as "Evolution", a phenomenon that increased the strength of the Pokémon.

She had already seen several Pokémon evolve, but she never ever got tired of seeing a Pokémon go through that beautiful and pure process called Evolution.

Charmeleon came over and tapped my knee gently.

I think I understood his words, it was only one, but what I think he said is that without me, he would never have mustered the courage to get to this situation, that without me, he would have continued to be abused and in the end he would have given up, that I was the one who helped him get to this situation.

Then, he lit up his claw and slapped the boss's arm, scratching it and making a wound that would likely become a future scar.

Although his arm hurt, he was glad he had not received the beating he expected and quickly fled the scene with his henchmen who had already woken up but did not act for fear of Charmeleon's power.

"It seems that they are gone, which means that all this is finally over" – I sighed.

"Char" – said Charmeleon.

"You're welcome" – I said without giving it importance.

But for Charmeleon it was important because the human in front of him had helped him to excel, had encouraged him and had given him the courage that he lacked and he would never forget that, ever.

"Meleon" – said Charmeleon.

I think I understand the Pokémon language a little better now, not that I understand them, but I can understand their intentions.

"I don't need anything in return, I helped you because it's the right thing to do, it's always important to help someone in need" – I said.

It's what my parents (from my other world) taught me and it's something I kept until the day I committed suicide and now that I've been given this opportunity, I'm not going to change my way of being.

Charmeleon thought about it for a moment, he had to thank his new friend for helping him, he couldn't let him go without rewarding him, but... What could he have to reward him? There was only one thing.
