Adventure 01 - Journey starts today...

January

The crowd erupted in cheers for their favourite battler. The world coronation series was around its end and the two trainers both only had one pokémon remaining. One of the trainers said something to their pokémon that coursed it to release a powerful outburst of power, the other trainer smirked as he commanded his pokémon to charge and fire back.

The two pokémon bolted toward each other ready to butt heads so they could conclude the ongoing battle

Suddenly out of nowhere a strong breeze entered the stadium, Y/n looked up in the sky since he was there for some reason and a red and blue monstrous pokémon appeared, the Pokémon released such an impactful roar that Blight woke up with a shock. The boy almost fell off his bed because of the dream, it felt so really for some unknown reason as if the wind was actually in his room.

Blight sighed and was about to go back to sleep when the breeze returned blowing him off the bed successfully this time. A bird pokémon wearing glasses landed peacefully on his bed and stared down at him. Blight sighed then broke into a smile looking up a poster on his ceiling that had a man showing a thumbs up with the words 'Its Wildin' Time!"

Blight Lo'ah (10) turning (11)

Blight will be recognised as 11, even though his technically 10 until his birthday on May where he will officially be 11

Has black fade like coiled hair that spread out to the side a bit with blue silver eyes his main

outfit is a mid light blue skinny jean that ends about two centimetres away from his black and white All Rocket shoes (All Stars), he wears a red long sleeved hoodie that he always leaves zipped halfway with sleeves he pushed up to his elbow, and under he supports a grey shirt with a Pikachu painted red on the center. He extra accessories with white cap that has a red Poké Ball symbol while also having some red outlines. He is a Light Skinned Male

Blight rushed down the stairs entering the kitchen where his mother was finishing up the prepared food. She turned to him with the brightest smile in the world and handed him his meal.

"So mom did you hear about the new play toys for in house pokémon?" Blight asked before taking a bite from his egg sandwich.

Blights mother shook her head, "No. Where is it selling?"

"Where all the good stuff are being sold nowadays. Celadon Mall."

"Wow. That place has become more and more famous now that I'm thinking about it."

"How was it back in the day?"

"A bit smaller than it is now, it had almost everything like potion sections and other stuff. But it wasn't like so technology based like todays version"

Their pet Meowth started eating the given pokémon food like it was its last meal. Dartrix looked at the mess that Meowth was making and tried to tell the Pokémon to stop, but Meowth continued with its mess. Dartrix feeling a bit disgusted decided to move its bowl away from Meowth.

"I love how cute Dartrix is, with it's perfect perfection thing."

"Huh? oh yeah."

"Yeah. What are you and the professor planning on doing today?"

"He says that he has a surprise for me. I just have to get there early."

"That's great, though I hope the surprise isn't a starter pokémon you already know how I feel about pokémon training and that league stuff."

"The leagues overrated mom plus it's over for the next two years."

"Whatever, just never participate in that stuff continue on what you're doing now and become a researcher. Do what your favourite guy says... um let's Pop off..."

"No mom, please don't."

Blight with Dartrix gliding behind started his walk to the laboratory. The walk was going to be long since Viridian expanded a bit more since the days of old, the streets were a bit more lively with people speeding and etc, the city opened up a park for the children to play in since Viridian forest was far too dangerous for children, the only thing that didn't really change were open battles, battles were taking place almost everywhere that wasn't crowded with people or cars.

The sight of the everyone battling excited Blight far too much, he stopped near the Pokémon centre and ran to the back where an intense battle was taking place. One trainer with a Makohita was battling against a trainer that owned a Machop.

The battle was nearing its conclusion though with the Machop trainer running in karate chop to the jaw of the Makohita. The Makohita couldn't carry on any longer so the trainer returned the Pokémon, Bright who was watching from the sidelines was somewhat enraged by the trainers choice.

"Why would you return the Pokémon, clearly it could still fight." Blight scold at the trainer.

"Last time I checked you weren't the one battling, it was clear that my pokémon stood no match."

"That's just an excuse, your pokémon could have easily taken a couple of more attacks you just whimped out."

"You have a big mouth kid." Machop's trainer said to Blight. "Why don't you use that mouth of yours to give orders to your pokémon when we battle."

A smirk crossed Blight. "Are you challenging me?"

Suddenly a bunch more people came to watch the match. The child who called Bright out was a bit taken aback by this, but rubbed it off as nothing. The trainer healed his pokémon and the standoff between the two took place.

Blight rotated his cap around "Dartrix, Let's Pop off." he said

Dartrix looked at Blight with a cringed expression on its face.

"Just battle. We don't have time for this."

Dartrix fixed its glasses.

"Machop go." The secondary trainer ordered.

The battle started off with Dartrix rushing in with a Take Down, after that the entire fight was set in stone. Dartrix delivered combo after combo and with ease placed Machop into a corner and with one more Take Down that helped dodge karate chop the Machop was done and out.

Some of the crowd members cheered for Blight as if they knew him which they actually did. Another trainer challenged Bright and Dartrix this trainer owned a Pidgeotto and a this climaxed in an epic air battle that Dartrix tanked with a combination of Leafblade and Take Down.

Following the second trainer a third trainer appeared, the person was much older than Blight and he seemed to be overly confident, but little did he know so was his opponent. The trainer started the rumble off with Golbat another flying pokémon. After dodging two wind attacks Dartrix quickened the battle onto its last leg by striking the opponent with LeafBlade and then finishing it off with a Takedown.

"3 and 0 I guess we are the best this town can offer." Blight flattered himself and Dartrix

Dartrix fixed up its glasses and made its way off the field.

"How about one more round?" A voice asked.

The crowd raised their heads to the roof of the Pokémon centre where a boy wearing a white shirt with a black jacket, blank pants and black white shoes resided. The boy jumped down and following him was a Magmar.

"Okay Mr Dark and gloomy I accept your challenge."

"It's Shadow."

"You've already heard my name so there really isn't any need for an introduction on my part. Let's begin the battle shall we?"

"Alright. I'll be using my Magmar and you guys can have the first move."

Magma looked down at Dartrix who snickered at how stupid the Pokémon looked.

"This is Blights Time bud. Take Down ."

Dartrix did one more flap before disappearing forward Shadow smirked as he watched Dartrix deliver a perfect head on Take Down to his Magmar that staggered.

Dartrix flew up into the sky, "Leafblade." The bird pokémon reverted back down like a meteor and crashed down into Magmar with a strong wave pushing from out the attack.

Blight was about to smirk when he was created with the image of Magmar holding Dartrix by the neck with one arm. "Fire Punch." Ordered Shadow.

Magmar's fist bursted with flames, burning Dartrix who was in it's grasp. The pokémon pulled it's free fist back and launched it into the stomach of Dartrix who was shot straight into Blight.

"Flame Charge." A circle of fire flames engulfed Magmar as he sprinted toward his foe. Blight noticing Magmar was charging his direction quickly jumped out of the way allowing the fire pokémon to charge straight into Dartrix with no issue.

The bird pokémon was thrown back further. Blight quickly stood up and was about to rush to the aid of his pokémon when it slowly started twitching to it's feet. "No more slacking Dartrix. Let's get back into this with a quick attack."

Dartrix jetted forward, but was then mid way was met with a "Fire Punch." The attack sent the Pokémon crashing back once more, the crowd was speechless at this point.

"Come on Dartrix get up, like hell we're gonna lose to someone like him!"

To the shock of the audience Dartrix was able to climb back up, but was clearly struggling to hold balance. Shadow sighed and started walking off, Magmar followed along.

"Hey what the hell?! We're not done, Dartrix can still battle!"

Dartrix fixed its glasses before shouting at Magma and Shadow for walking off on the battle.

"I don't want to fight you anymore. Your fighting style is disappointing, you can never become a strong trainer like that."

"I can totally become a good trainer you just wait and see!"

"What are you gonna do? Beat the Champions Challenge?"

"Y-yeah! Yeah that exactly, I'm gonna earn all the medals and then I'm gonna beat the other opponents and become champion."

By this time Shadow had already walked off. Bright groaned, he pulled out his Rotom phone and noticed the time, he almost sunk seeing how late it was.

LaTeR

Blight with Dartrix on his cap panted for air as he stood in front of the Cerise Laboratory. He was about to knock when the door slid open by itself. The young trainer entered and headed into the main room.

"Look professor I'm so sorry I'm late I just got caught up in something."

"You're more than late, I thought you weren't coming to work today Blight. You can legitimately see the moon appearing. Dartrix I expected better from you."

Dartrix bowed apologising.

"I'm sorry I really am. I promise to never let anything like this happen again."

"And of all days to come late why is it on the day I was planning on rewarding you with a gift and an important favour."

"You can still reward it."

"To be honest with you, I don't know anymore. Coming to work isn't the hardest of things you know."

"I really am sorry Professor-"

"I'm just pulling your leg kid, I already forgave you. You've been putting in the effort to show up for so long that it would be criminal to reward you after one small mistake."

"What's the reward?"

"I'm updating your Pokephone or Rotomdex."

Dartrix fixed its glasses with an amazed look on its face, the bird pokémon after seeing the features of the new version on Tv has always wanted to try them out physically.

"Seriously?! Now I can have those new features I've been seeing on the news everywhere."

"Just leave it here overnight so the system can update. Secondly I want you to do me a simple favor."

"What's that?"

"I want to enroll you into the Champions Challenge, so you can collect data on pokémon that aren't in our reach in the form of battle."

"Professor..."

"You're an amazing trainer with amazing skills that have become limited by this city. I want you to collect data on different pokémon and how they perform in battle... Will you do me that favour?"

"Of course."

       -Lo'Ah Residentials

"Of course not!"

"What? Mom you're not serious what do you mean no."

"You know what I mean Blight, tell the professor I say no you can't."

"But mom... This could be a really great opportunity for me to gain new battle knowledge for research."

"I know researching is what you love, but if you have to become a battling trainer just so you can do research then say forget it to researching."

Dartrix sighed coming to defeat.

"Mom..."

"Plus it's not like any of us like battling anyway, we both know how disgusting and barbaric it is. Don't be like your cousin, she chose to battle now look at her she's a thief and-"

"Mom! Firstly, she's not a thief. Secondly, you're the one who doesn't like battling, I actually love it. I've been acting like I hate it so you wouldn't feel upset."

Dartrix face feathered itself since Blight gave their secret away.

"... Blight...Dartrix is this?...No... Do you not remember what happened to you when you were young, you wanted to become a pokémon trainer so you went out into the world to do just that and you didn't even last a good twenty minutes before coming home scarred."

"I was a kid... I didn't know anything..."

"You still are! And here you are acting as if you know everything, your father was just the same. He thought he knew what was best so he left and no where is he? Where is he? Where!"

"Maybe he did know best, and that best he knew was leaving YOU!"

Dartrix was quiet.

"....Go to your room...."

That night Blights mother spent the hours crying her tears out. Meanwhile at Cerise Laboratory, Blight stood holding his Rotomdex that had just finished updating. Following the update he registered himself into the Champions Challenge, the registration took a couple of minutes, but when he was complete a loud buzzer sounded. Blight quickly lowered the volume.

Dartrix shook its head while looking at Blight.

"Look it's the best thing we can do, I know you're not keen on breaking the rules, but you're gonna have to now for the sake of our journey."

Dartrix heard something move and turned around to see what it was. Blight turned around as well and right before his eyes a green bulb pokémon ran out the laboratory, Blight and Dartrix quickly moved outside and watched as it headed for Viridian Forest.

The journey really starts today...
