Grassy Surge!

Avian and Serenity went separate ways, Serenity went to challenge the Grass gym while Avian went to train with Froakie. Avian went back the forest to train, Alright Froakie come on out! Avian challenged wild Pokémon for hours until he saw something from the corner of his eye. It was a person walking towards him. Avian walks further into the forest and sees the Pokémon he fought before, he takes out his Pokédex and points it at the Pokémon. Ostrow the Dark and Fire Pokémon, Ostrow usually lives deep within forests and live there to hide from humans. Ostrow huh? Well Ostrow, do you want join me on my journey. The Pokémon looks at Avian and walks forward, good thing Serenity gave this Pokeball in case I ran in with a Pokémon that wanted to join me. Avian throws the pokeball at Ostrow. The pokeball rolls 3 times and it goes in. I caught my first Pokémon!!!! Alright let's train Froakie, come on out Ostrow. The 3 trained for even longer than before perfecting moves and battle strategies. Avian went back to Vestemere Ciry to meet up with Serenity, Serenity showed Avian her gym badge. Avian decided he would challenge the gym tomorrow.

Avian woke up from the loud alarm and decided to go to the gym right away, he fed Froakie and Ostrow and headed out. Serenity chose to train with Charmander today and improve their battle strategies. Avian ran towards the gym with high hopes, he walked in and signed up for the battle challenge. He went for his first trial, he met up with the first competitor a man named Jason. They began the battle, Avian sent out Ostrow while Jason sent out Oddish. Oddish attacked first with grass knot, Ostrow dodged it and used flamethrower. Oddish is hit with a super effective move and faints. Avian wins the battle. Avian heads for his second battle with a girl named Sophie, she sends out Weepinbell. Avian sends out Ostrow, Avian charges the Weepinbell with bite doing significant damage, the Weepinbell flinches and moves left and uses power whip. Ostrow is hit but takes no damage. Ostrow then uses flamethrower and knocks it out. Avian then moves on to the final challenge the gym leader. He approaches Acacia the gym leader, she looks at Avian and sends out Leafeon, This time Avian decides to send out Froakie, she is amazed but continues.

Leafeon uses solar beam it hits Froakie but it is able to endure it. Froakie retaliates with quick attack. The attack makes contact and the Leafeon flinches, The Leafeon uses razor leaf, Froakie dodges. Froakie jumps in the air and uses bubble, Leafeon jumps back and uses bullet seed. Froakie dodges ands uses water beam. Leafeon is hit and takes damage. Leafeon stands and starts charging for another solar beam, Avian knows that if he wants to win he must attack now. Avian tells Froakie to rush in and use water pulse, Leafeon stands and moves out of the way. Froakie then runs faster and uses quick attack, the attack is successful. The Avian gets a great idea, he tells Froakie to pull out for a second and let's Leafeon charge up. He then sees his chance and tells Froakie to repeatedly use quick attack on Leafeon, after the attack Leafeon is barely able to stand up. Froakie then uses water pulse to finish the fight, the attack hits and Leafeon falls. The winner is Avian Smith, Avian shakes hands with Acacia and thanks her with the battle. Acacia hands Avian a badge case and the Leaf Badge. Avian returns to Froakie and he tells him what a battle it was and how he overcame the type disadvantage. Avian, Froakie and Ostrow celebrate leaving the gym and meet up with Serenity and Charmander. Avian shows Serenity the Leaf Badge any they both celebrate. Avian then suggests to start walking towards the energy source. With all of the chaos going around the Ethor region. The 2 head off past Vestemere city to figure out what is causing this massive energy reading.
