Chapter 11 - Acceptance and Epilogue

After that crazy battle, Rico and the rest went back to Rico's house so Rico could express his gratitude and acceptance of the new fact about Serena to his uncle Lester. Rico's parents and older brother are happy that Rico had happily accepted it without any hesitation or contempt, so as Ash and Serena as well.

"Thank you, nephew," Lester positively thanked him in response. Rico then smiled at first, but then, he noticed the shirt his uncle was wearing and recognized that it was the one he had bought as a Christmas gift.

"Wait, uncle, is that shirt is the one I bought for you?" Rico raised a question.

"Oh, this one?" replied Lester back positively. "Yes, that's the one. I even kept the tag that comes with it." That response causes Rico to be delighted, and he replied back while shedding a few tears of joy, "Thanks, uncle, for receiving my gift!" Jonathan and Rico's Lucario then gave him comfort.

All day, the Ketchum and Cruz families are spending time with each other like playing and hanging out at Martin's gym, even having Pokémon battles to test one's strengths and abilities. And finally at later night, Lester slept at the living room in Rico's house, before leaving back to Kalos by Sunday morning.
