Week 16: Styles & Weapons

You observe how the streets and buildings look as you are heading towards the arena.

You see that the streets are paved with stone in a way to be as smooth as possible while using only carved stones to pave the road and nothing else. You also see that the buildings seem to be built of stacking stones atop each-other after carving them into a shape similar to a brick with the roof being wood. From the windows you can tell that inside the support beams, floors, and ceilings are made of wood. The windows you were looking through are only in the better quality buildings you see & they seem to be made out of carved clear crystal, and have varying tints.

As you are arriving at the arena you see that it looks as to what one would imagine to be a well kept classic ancient roman style Colosseum, however it's not raised out of the ground, but rather tunnels are carved under the ground for many of the passage ways. Only one space is raised above the ground and that is what looks like where the royals would sit.

You: "Are there any weapons?"

Kore: "Of course there are, there are normal weapons and magic weapons. Would you like me to explain either or both at all?"

You: "Explain the magic weapons please."

Kore: "Alright, so magic weapons are weapons that are enchanted with a spell... enchantment is a mix of light magic and whichever magic the spell originates from. With a magic weapon all one needs to do to cast the spell that the weapon has enchanted on it is pour enough mana into it, they don't need to know how to cast the spell normally nor do they need any affinity. Some magic weapons will have personal magic enchanted onto it which will allow anyone to use that personal magic. There is a rare personal magic that can draw mana towards oneself, in the rare case that a weapon is enchanted with two spells, if that is one of them, that spell will continuously cast the other spell."

Kore: "Would you also like the regular weapons explained at all, like why they even still have such if magic weapons exist?"

You head into the arena to see how the fights go.

You see many wielding swords, spears, scepters, shields, staffs, as well as many other types of weapons, some of which you don't recognize. You see fireballs smashing against invisible shields and waves of water on land. You see some not wielding any magic. You also see what appears to be dark magic, which you remember you were never told about.
