"W-wha--."

Oli cannot properly speak as Oli looked at the current situation of the Leefside right now, which was engulfed in fire.

So the bright light he saw in his room was from this raging fire. He didn't know if this was unintentional or intentional as most of the village houses were in the fire. The same goes for the long walls.

Oli was still stuck on the castle's front gate when he heard a scream and cry of a little boy not far from where Oli was. And Oli knew who is that. Oli knows who owns the voice, as he saw and cheered that boy earlier about the game they're playing. The owner of the voice was none other than Rex.

Oli quickly run where he hears the voice of Rex came from. When he turned in the alley, which should where the voice came from, there was nothing there.

"REX!!! WHERE ARE YOU?!"

Oli shouted a top from his lungs but no one answered him.

"GUH!"

Oli gritted his teeth because of how hot his position was. Aside from the castle, all the houses were currently on fire, and Oli didn't know how the fire spread faster.

"AHHHH!!!"

Oli once again heard the scream of Rex, and he quickly ran in the direction where it came from, but while running, Oli tripped into something.

"Argh... What was that--."

Oli didn't complete what he was about to say when he saw what tripped him.

He saw the body of a woman laying on the ground--lifeless.

When he looked at the body carefully, he saw Siv. The woman who had a daughter. The woman who has offered Oli water earlier in the day.

Siv was lying lifeless on the ground with her cloth tattered, especially in the lower area. Oli didn't need to think twice about what was happened to her. It was clear that Siv was raped and then killed after.

Oli slowly approached Siv's corpse. The woman was bathed in her blood. Her eyes were wide open, and Oli could see that before the woman died, she endured something worst.

Oli doesn't know what he's feeling right now. Sad, anger, hate, confusion, fear, horror, and guilt. But one thing is sure, Oli is angry with someone who did this.

"Do you like what you were seeing?" Oli heard the voice of the man.

Oli angrily looked at the man who spoke. He saw the man riding a horse, and he was heavily equipped with a sword and armor. The same goes for his horse.

"Isn't this beautiful? Ahh, what a beautiful sight." The man said and looked around lovingly.

When Oli sees the gesture of the man, he also imitates it, which was Oli regretted that he did so.

The bodies of the men and women are all lying on the ground, lifeless, regardless of age. They are all brutally killed as if they are some sort of animal.

And that was fully pushed Oli to erupt his anger in the man. No need to think twice. The man was the culprit of all of this. This massacre. This destruction. This cruelty.

"Ah... ah... AH... AHH... AHHHHHH!!! YOU FUCKER!!!!!"

Oli angrily charged into the man and attempted a punch, but the man effortlessly kicked Oli in the stomach. Oli rolled around the ground after the kick.

*Cough Cough*

Oli pukes a whole bunch of saliva while coughing and chasing breath.

"You have guts, unlike these heretics." Then the man pointed at the lifeless bodies of the residents. "And you are a bit different." After that, he looked at Oli--more precisely at the cloths of Oli. "Tell me, who're you?"

Oli cannot answer immediately as he still chasing his breath.

"I-I am the Chairman of this village you attacked, you fucker." Oli said furiously.

"Oh?" The said amusingly. Then he got off in his horse and slowly walked towards Oli. Oli instinctively walked backward as the man was marching forward.

The man stopped a few meters away from Oli.

"You say you're the Chairman? Tell me, Chairman, who's leading these people?" The man asked Oli, but Oli didn't answer and just stared at the man angrily.

*Bogsh*

"Don't act almighty when you don't have the power to do so, you piece of shit!"

*Cough Cough*

Once again, Oli fell to the ground because the man punched him again on the stomach. Oli couldn't react because of how fast the blow was, but even if Oli could, he did not have the power to resist or defend against this madman.

"You're the Chairman. Right? So, if you are the Chairman, why did you leave your village unguarded? Why you didn't assign or deploy any kind of guards that would act in case something like this happened? That's your job as the Chairman. You lead and protect. You need to protect all the people under your command. All of this happened because of you! All of this!"

Then the man grabs the head of Oli that currently on the ground chasing his breath. He forcefully makes Oli look around. Look at all the bodies without life.

"You made this!" Then after that, he made Oli look at Siv. "You are the one who made this. You are the one who kills all of them!"

"N-no! I-I.." Oli struggled at the man's hold on his head. "I-I didn't.." Oli also strumbled to speak. The tears of Oli warn to fall because somewhere in his heart, he agrees with the man. He is guilty of all of this.

"WAWAHAHAHA WAAHAHHAHA" The man maniacally laughed as he looked at the current state of Oli.

"NOOOO!!!'

Then Oli once again heard the scream of Rex that caused him to struggle more with the man.

"Oh? Did you know the owner of the scream? If I guess, that would be Killer. Well, this is a good chance. I'll let you watch the death of your beloved residents." The man then drags Oli in the direction where the scream came from, And no matter how much Oli struggles, he can't get out of the man's grasp.

Oli and the man arrived at the scene. Then he saw little Rex crying while tied in wood like he was going to be crucified.

"Y-you... hik... young m-master... hik... help me..." Little Rex said when he saw Oli.

"Rex..." Oli bit his lips as he didn't know what to say. "D-don't cry, okay? Everything is going be okay... Trust me..." He struggled, once again at the man, but the man forced him to kneel.

"Boss? Did you bring me another toy?" The man standing in front of Rex spoke.

"No... This one is mine Killer. He is the Chairman of this village. I want him to watch his beloved resident final moments." The boss replied at Killer, and Killer just shrugged.

Then Killer pulled his sword out of the sheath and positioned it on the top of Rex's left arm.

"H-HEY! HEY! W-what are you doing?! S-stop that! You fucker--."

Oli stopped when Boss punched him in the face.

"Don't be noisy. Just enjoy the show." Boss while smiling wickedly.

"Y-young... master..."

Oli heard Rex speak again. He could see the fear and horror in Rex's two eyes. Then he looked again at Killer, who was presently stopped in his action.

Oli had a gist of what Killer intended to do. Oli didn't know if he would be punched again, but he didn't care. He wants to save Rex, even if it's just Rex. Even if he will reveal his secret... The portal.

"H-hey! L-let's negotiate... I can--."

Oli couldn't continue as he heard the scream of Rex.

"WAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!"

Killer cut the left arm of Rex suddenly.

"KUHAHA KUHAHA!" Killer

"WAWAHA WAWAHA!" Boss

"NOOOOO!!!! REXX!!!!" All Oli could do was scream at the top of his lungs.

After that, the scene was filled with a scream, laughed, and blood. Killer brutally cut the arms and legs of Rex, and Oli could do was scream while he watched little Rex brutally tortured.

In the final moment of Rex, he looked and spoke at once again, still asking to help him, but Oli can't... All he could do was watched the scene with hate, guilt, anger, sad eyes.

"Hey, did you enjoy the show?" The boss spoke at Oli, who's currently bowing his head.

"Why did you do this? We--the residents didn't do anything wrong or harm to you, to do this..." Oli spoke in a low and weak voice.

After he sees Rex brutally killed, were floating somewhere else.

"Why did we do this? Because it is fun? Because of the money? Because we can do whatever we want? Hah! I don't care. We have different reasons. As for Killer, he enjoys torturing his victims. As for me, I enjoy watching people get desperate and break down, just like you."

"So, you do this because of your petty reasons?" Oli

"Yes." Boss

'I don't get it. I don't get it! I don't get it! Just because of you're petty reasons, you killed, raped, tortured the residents, and destroyed their homes! I will fucking kill you! I will fucking kill you all!'

Oli thought while still bowing his head.

For the first time in Oli's life, he wanted to kill someone. For the first time in Oli's life, he saw and experienced the cruelty that the world had to offer. The Continent of Chronos had to offer. The brutality and mercilessness of man even in a different world.
