The Mystic

Sheyken and Falgur went past the reception and the man gave them 6 silver coins for the Pinsch. Sheyken looked at them and knew right away that they had been reaping off the villagers with the ridiculous amount Ningal had changed them.

The man nodded and let them go. They passed the other adventures who were still eating and drinking with each of them giving them a smile and a nod while others laughed and pointed at Lasore who was still being dragged on the floor. They got outside and Falgur let out a sigh of relief. He looked at Sheyken as they walked.

"Are you faster than a thought that can be carried out through death, Hahahaha, man, I am taking that line."

Sheyken kept on walking like you he did not hear him.

"You were about to call in your girlfriend went you?"

Sheyken wanted to kick his arse right then. Calling Tenebris his girlfriend was going too far. On their way back they had told each other what Tenebris and Sanguis had given them.

"Is that why you were so calm?"

"Well, that sexy girlfriend of yours is scary after all."

Sheyken stopped and dropped Lasore's arm. He wanted to really beat his arse now. Falgur had noticed through their journey that he did not like to be teased like that so he was just rubbing it in. He also dropped Lasore's arm and looked at Sheyken.

"No man, who can panic when they have you calling them their brother without hesitation in front of a powerful opponent like that. Each time you called me your brother, it triumphed over anything she had said at each point."

Falgur said as he extended his hand for a fist pump. Sheyken let out a smile and fist pumped him. Lasore was having his face cooked on the still scorching hot ground he was laying on. They picked him up and continued their walk.

"One of these days I will whoop your arse for calling her, my girlfriend."

Sheyken said as he looked forward while walking.

"hahahaha, not when I know how to calm you down... brother."

Sheyken could do nothing but sigh. On their way they passed an alleyway that had a girl just sitting their with her head facing down. She was young but looked to be in good shape so Sheyken took nothing from the scene and continued his walk.

They reached their destination and just like Seduralto had said, it was not that far. It too was a double-story building with the sign 'Mystic' on top of the entryway. They went in and as soon as they got inside, they felt a cool breeze, unlike in the Desert guild.

There were tables and chairs where the guest ate as you walk in and meters away was the counter that had two girls that looked to be in their teens who seemed to be mending the place. The people who were eating turned to look who just got in with the place going quiet for a while but soon after seeing that it was two boys and a collapsed man who looked nothing interesting the place returned to normal again.

They made their way to the counter and dropped Lasore on the floor again. The girls were both cute. One was blond and had a well-rounded figure that did not fail to catch Falgurs attention. The other one had black hair which remained Sheyken of Ningal. She had a standard figure but you could feel her polite nature from far away by just looking at her. She was the youngest of the two. They both wore green maid outfits that tried to hide their natural beauty. Sheyken gave the blond girl who was closest to them the wooden cards.

"Awe, from the guild hah. Been a while since we got one of these. I guess you two must be important guests. So, what is up with him?"

She said as she pointed down.

"I think he is not yet accustomed to the heat yet."

Falgur hurryingly answered. Sheyken looked at him and knew he was in for a treat. He could not wait for him to be shut down as he saw a child try to charm a teenager. He moved his eyes away from him and back to the counter only to find himself looking at the girl with black hair in the eyes. He quickly averted his eyes. This made the girl chuckle.

"This is my bother Sheyken and I am Falgur, we are both Finis."

The girls widened their eyes in surprise. The place went quiet for a while but again, the people resumed what they were doing but it was a little louder than before.

"Awe, we have had so many things about our neighbors but I have never seen one of you. So, it is true, Finis do look handsome from when they are young."

The blond girl said. Fagur could not have lifted his nose higher out of pride. The statement made the other girl blush."

"I am Sila, and next to me is my friend Sazi. Welcome to the Mystic, it is a pleasure to have you here."

Falgur took her hand and as short as he was to her kissed it while looking into her eyes.

"The pleasure is all ours."

He said still looking into her eyes. Sheyken was dumbfounded. He did not know where those moves came from. He wondered what Vitula had been teaching the kid all those years while he was underground.

"Uuuuu, you a gentleman too."

Sila said with a blush and touching he cheek with the other hand that had turned red. A woman as tall as Singal came from the kitchen with a frying pan and almost bashed Falgur's skull in.

"Finis or not, who said you can have my daughter's hand?"

A big bulky lady said with the pan still up in the air for a second assault. Sheyken was amazed that as fast as he was, Falgur could not dodge the attack. Seemed like he had to concentrate that much to keep his charm at full bloom. Sheyken almost laughed seeing a tear wanting to come down his cheek as he rubbed his head. About 5 men had quickly sneaked out of the place, running from the whooping Falgur was going to get and not wanting to be witnesses.

"Mom, wait look at this."

Sila showed her the two wooden cards, trying to save the charmer boy from a beating. The lady quickly put the pan down and apologized like nothing had happened. A man had needed assistance, so Sazi had to go and attend to him.

"If you two are Finis, I am sure you eat like grown men, right? Please, you must order anything you like, you can eat all day. We will just charge the guild ok. Make sure to order the expensive menu too. Awe.... by the way I am Sisilana. I am Sila's mother. Sila will take you to your rooms. Since there are two cards, I'm guessing you two boys will be using the same room."

She was talking like their mother with a caring tone like she did not just almost made Falgur to be brain dead. They both nodded.

"Sila will take you to your rooms then. I have to get back to the kitchen, and please enjoy your stay. She left them just like that. The man that had stayed were disappointed as they thought they would see one of Sisilana's famous beatings.

They took Lasore and went upstairs. Their rooms were the two at the far end of the corridor and opposite each other. They put Falgur in bed and then went to their own. The whole time Falgur was rubbing his head and with Sila chuckling. She left them as she did not want Falgur to get another pan to the head.

The room was not big but moderate. It had two beds that were close to each other with a plant in the middle separating them. He had a place to bath and a table and chair on each side of the room. It was as cool as downstairs. The window was open but the hot air was not coming inside. They both lay on their beds which were comfortable.

"Hey, lover boy."

Sheyken called out. Falgur did not answer one bit.

"Mr. Pan on the head, I know you hear me."

Falgur groaned. Sheyken just laughed. They both went quiet for a while.

"What would you have done if she really attacked. Since you would not like to depend on your girlfriend?"

Falgur asked out of the blue.

'I still have the one-use item Zararloch gave me which he said can even hurt him.'

Sheyken thought but decided not to answer with that. He was annoyed that Falgur was continuing calling Tenebris his girlfriend still.

"I had Plot Armor."

Falgur could not understand his reasoning.

"Man, I know your Camorphiare is cool but she is a 3rd circle mage. I see, living with powerful beings has made you greatly underestimate the circles of power."

"And you greatly underestimate the power of plot armor."

Sheyken said with a chuckle. Falgur got irritated and since he felt a headache coming from them the pan he had gotten to his precious head that head a bump on it now, he fell asleep. Hours passed with Sheyken not sleeping as the room turned dark with the sun going down. He was contemplating what Falgur had said. Whether to accept Tenebris help when he needs it after she had tried to make him her slave. The door busted open out of nowhere and Falgur had leaped out of bed, taken the knife that Sheyken had giving him and in a blink of an eye was next to him in a defensive stance.

Sheyken already knew who it was and was still in his bed. He was surprised at Falgur's reaction though. He thought when he slept he was never on guard. He had heard Lasore's door swinging open and him calling out to them in a low voice. He then heard him going down the stairs and then up again until he busted open the door.

"I need some wine Sheyken. I almost died in that place. Please, please give me some wine, or I will die for real."

He walked like a zombie to Sheykens bed. Falgur was somewhat disappointed. He thought he was about to fight a thief or someone like that.

"Well, I am sure we are all hungry by now. Let us go downstairs and get something to eat. I am sure they are dying to serve us."

Sheyken said as he stood up.

"What about the wine."

"I am sure the most expensive wine in this place would do for you, right?"

Lasore thought he was dreaming. As they went downstairs, he was asking him to repeat what he said but Sheyken kept quiet. The place was full but had one empty table which was reserved for them. It went to show that they were getting the V.I.P treatment.

Falgur looked at Sila who was hard at work as there were adventures who still had blood on them but were eating and drinking like there was no tomorrow. He rubbed his head again as she was a cruel reminder of why in just a space of a moment, he now hated pans.

Sazi came and told them the menu. Sheyken asked for the most expensive dishes she had and Sazi could not help but smile. Lasore's wine came first and as soon as he drank it, he seemed to calm down and had a big smile on his face. The boys told him what happened and after hearing the story, he just wanted to have some more wine. When he asked about his burnt face, remembering that they had dropped him on the ground for some time while they where still under the scorching sun, they chose not to answer him.

The food came and it looked like a Michelin star chef had prepared it. The food looked beautiful and you almost did not want to eat it until the smell hit you. The soup just melted in your mouth. The fish dish made them order more while the salad held everything together and they felt refreshed after every single bite. They were full until what Sazi called a Sisilana special pie was severed to them. They took a bite and they all ordered one full one each. Hearing Lasore munching away like he was a gremlin, the two boys looked at each other and laugh. They had not enjoyed themselves and had been so relaxed since they met each other.

They both went to their room, leaving Lasore to his wine. They laid down on the bed and looked up again.

"How was she?"

Falgur asked and Sheyken knew who he was talking about.

"She was like the sun in the morning as it rises. When you were with her you just knew she was going to brighten up your day."

Sheyken posed for a bit and then continued.

"That was until she kept on killing me with her cuteness."

Falgur laughed together with Sheyken. He knew him not meeting Nanna was still eating at his heart.

"Tell me more."

Falgur asked. They spent the night talking about how 'Onnichan' had become her secret weapon and the few but happy days Sheyken had spent with the lovely girl who for that brief moment was a light in this dark world he had fallen in.
