Dark fantasy

"I have a mission."

Sheyken said in his cell as the smell of human flesh burning finally reached the cell and his nose. Singal had nothing to say. After hearing Ningals scream he knew she was dead even though he never looked outside and he did not want to.

"I will kill them all."

He said as he set down in the corner of the cell, his eyes carrying all the emotions and hate Ningal had in her final moments. Singal was starting to think that Ningal's final words were for Sheyken after he heard him, but he failed to understand how someone would ask that from a child. He kept quiet and set on the opposite side of the room. He could hear him whispering while holding something in his hand which he ignored and thought that the kid was just distorted after saying such an event.

Outside, the villagers were no more in high spirits after seeing a child ran into the fire and dying in front of their own eyes. They even had taken the wind out of their sails as they left one by one. Only Flosbris was having the time of her life. Dunnam was still kneeling down not knowing what to make of himself. It made him the perfect target for Flosbris to put the icing on the cake at the back of such a wonderful event in her life.

"You know that you possibly just let your only daughter burn right in front of you right?... Hahahaha, and now you will have to explain why they would be getting one kid instead of two. And the kid who died might have been a product of the experiment years ago. Hahaha... I will let you explain what happened. Let's hope they do not kill you now."

She said as she left while in a very happy mode. Two days past and the villagers were now feeling even more under the weather. Three of them had died as they tried to get into Vitula's house. they wanted to see if there was something in there that could help them get stronger since it was the Flosalbum's household after all.

"Damn it, this was precisely why I had made the Araneu as my pet. So, it could trigger all the traps in this place. I cannot burn down a place that could hold so much."

Flosbris said as she looked at the fourth corpse of a villager that tried to break into Vitula's place.

'I wonder how she killed it while she was punc.... attacking me. I examined it and only a blade or something similar would cut it that cleanly.'

Flosbris thought as she went to the building where Sheyken was being kept. He had not moved from where he was sitting the whole two days. Agna would bring them food but he did not touch it. Singal would eat thinking that he was having a hard time from what he witnessed that day. He did not know that he was eating by using Ruby as he would cover his mouth with his hand eat directly from her. He did not want to touch the food because he thought it might be drugged and he wanted them to think he was weak and had no energy because he was not eating so as to surprise them if he found a need to run or fight.

Flosbris entered the cell and Singal stood up.

"Well, well are you doing sweetheart. Is the dark treating you nice? I am sure you happy to see me after a long time. Don't you want to give me the next steps to our techniques?"

She asked mockingly.

"You bitch! Why did you kill them? You grow up with them and they never did anything wrong to you."

Singal said with spite.

"Awe, I see you have a backbone now. Sit back down before a slap the cowardness back in you."

She said with a tone no longer playful and her face looking nothing but sinister. Singal sat down like a dog being told what to do by its owner. Sheyken just set where he was and looked at them.

"Boy, I hear you do not want to eat. It would be better for both of us if you started eating."

She said as she went to him and bent down in order to look into his eyes. Sheyken just looked at her and said nothing. He thought of killing her right there and then, but he had a more suitable death for her he had planned. So, he calmed his heart and his face was met with a hard hand that sent him flying then rolling on the floor.

"Kids these days. One had the resolve to run into fire and burn while another is trying to starve himself to death, what is this world coming to. There is more of that where it came from. You better eat or else."

Flosbris said as she left the room. Sheyken just stood up and went back to where he was sitting. Singal felt sorry for him but was ashamed of his own cowardness.

Dunman was in his house and did not know what to do with himself. He felt like a person who had just won a million dollars only to be told they made a mistake and took back all the winnings. The thought of having a daughter that he watched burn could never leave his mind. In the two days after the incident, his nature had changed drastically. He never knew he wanted to be a father so badly but also knew that after the atrocities he helped commit, if his father knew about them, he did not know what he would think of him or do to him. It was at that point that he finally realized that he was helping the very few people who might have killed his father. He took a knife and put it next to his throat with the thought of killing himself, but stopped as what he feared most than living as he was now was the unknown after death. He stayed in his room staring blankly into nothingness, still not knowing what to do with himself.

In the Trial Forest, a place dark and that looked lifeless called the Benevolent woods, there is a valley that you could only find by chance as if you go looking for it the Trial Forest would only challenge you. In the valley, a dark figure sat in a room that had a western-style bar and was binge drinking.

"Ahh.... what I'm I going to do now? All I want is to ensure my future and finally get myself a man. Why does he have to be so competent? Well, he has to be in order to be considered my type. How did he find out so soon? He must be the one! The one all ladies would want to be beside as he matures.... Ahhhh how did he exorcise it? Through all the years I have been here, I do not think someone his age has ever managed to exorcise a 5th tier curse. Well, no one stupid would waste a 5th tier curse on a 7-year-old kid, but then what does that make me? ..."

Tenebris wallowed as she poured herself another drink.

"That confirms it. You handsome, expertly gorgeous little man, so magnificent and intelligent, I shall chase you to the ends of the world until you make me yours. This is it; we shall say that was a test for I would never pull such a stunt, and we shall keep it between us. The first secret we share that will keep bringing us closer. No one and I mean no one would find out... hahaha."

She laughed as she had a hiccup only to jump off her chair in fright as she saw Sanguis flaring his feelers about.

"Sang, never come upon a lady, much so a beautiful lady like me who is in the middle of a crisis like that. I almost grew a light inside of me course of you freighting me."

Tenebris said as she took deep breaths. Sanguis just stood there and looked at her.

"What did you do."

He finally asked.

'Dman it, me and my loud mouth. This is bad, I have been drinking since the day I sensed the curse I put in Sheyken had been exorcised. Drinking alone is never good. I almost let my secret with Sheyken slip out. They should never know about it, especially Zararloch, if he finds out two things would happen; he would either try to kill me for messing with his disciple or finally turn me into a laughing stoke for decades, to make things worse would have nothing to rebound on. Better never let out me and my hubby's secret out.'

"Nothing, just reminiscing about the good old days."

She said, trying to act as casual as she could.

"So, you are not talking about Sheyken?"

Sanguis asked with a raised eyebrow. The question made Tenebris tense up. She could not help but act like a child caught stealing candy while trying to act all innocent.

"Well, he is my hubby for life but I cannot possibly think about him every day now Sang, come on now. Why are you here anyway, did you miss my blackness?"

She said trying to avoid the question and acting all cute, which failed as when she tried to act that way her face become sinister. Sanguis put his hand on his face while shaking his head in embarrassment to have known her.

"You know, I can never picture you as a princess when you act like this."

Sanguis said.

Tenebris tried harder to act as cute as she could which made Sanguis just give up on her.

"Come, our master is calling us. She said she has a mission for us."

Sanguis said.

"Awe, after so long. Do you think it might be time we finally say hello to the world again?"

"I do not know, we will just have to find out from her, but things have been moving in a different direction ever since Zararloch's brat came here. Who knows it might be about him?"

As they slowly left the room, while hearing those words from Sanguis, Tenebrise produced one of the cutest smiles she had ever managed to pull off.

In the cell, Sheyken set there just waiting.

'If this is a dark fantasy that I am in, I shall play my part and I will paint this world and horrors they never knew, Vitula, Ningal, and Nanna, watch carefully. This show is for you.
