"Mom says, yes as long as I'm back in time to go to City Hall with her."
"We'll be heading there ourselves. She could always meet us there."
Kelly ran back to the car and had a longer conversation.
"She said OK."
Justine came out of the kitchen.
"Hi, Kelly."
Kelly flew at her and hugged her. Patrick could hear whispering and Justine patted the other girl's back a few times.
"Kelly's coming with us," she said. "I'd like her advice on clothes."
"That's good, because I already invited her."
"That's my Dad," Justine said. She took Kelly's hand, "We'll sit in the back seat."
Patrick could hear them conspiring in the back. Kelly already looked better.
At the mall, the girls abandoned Patrick at the coffee shop.
"We'll come and get you when it's time to pay," said Justine, laughing.
