Chapter 44: Conquest and the Horsemen

Megan had to make a quick decision about the other player. His name was Samo Khun. Didn't seem like it was a crude joke, but then again, she hadn't seen Aijin Koro coming either. He looked to be in his twenties, but that didn't mean anything. He could be any age outside of the game. As could Megan, when she really considered it. But her credentials weren't in question here. “What we're offering is to run you through this mission in record time,” she said. “We'll be bullet sponges and rush you through to stop the dissidents from their purpose. You get to be a hero, you get the quest rewards, and you get all the experience for all the fights.”

“And what do you get out of this?”

“It's part of another quest we're doing,” Aijin said. She looked at Megan and seemed to understand what her friend was thinking. “It's a quest line that gets us into the Agency.”

“What's the Agency?” Samo asked.
