Can a game be a dream come true? Jorah has found a world where he can be Megan Proxy, exploring his own gender identity even while exploring a cyberpunk world that is more than it seems. Something in the world isn't working quite right, but is that a product of the game, or of the fact that the game is using his brain as a mainframe for its processing? Will he be able to enjoy living as a woman, or will he be too busy trying to avoid getting killed for the things that he finds while he takes on the role of Megan? Will the secrets that she uncovers be enough to keep her alive, or will he have to process the loss of his female self so soon after finding a way to finally indulge her? Chapter 43: Codex's Good Graces

As usual, there were people sitting in the booth in back of the diner. Three members of the Ebony Roses. Megan gave them a nod as she came in, and they nodded back to her. She took a seat in the booth next to theirs, waiting for Aijin to come join her.

She didn't have to wait long.

“I've got a lead,” Aijin said as she sat down. She looked around, spotting the gangers at the next table. “Safe to talk here?”

Megan nodded. “This is Ebony Rose territory. They know me here. What do you have?”

“There's a raid about to go down. On Boran Tech. Just like the one that was happening when we met. Half a dozen people striking, trying to break in and steal a prototype tech. Thought we could tag along, grab something worth grabbing, and make it back home as heroes.”

“I do like that idea,” Megan said. “So long as they don't run in to someone like us, we should be okay. And if things go south, we can dip out.”
