Chapter 18- That Dream Again

"Damn. I said too much. Why don't i have the power to erase memories?" Lucifer thought in his mind.

"I meant sacrifice for the greater good. Do you expect to do something without sacrificing?"

"Your plans are very shady. I need to talk to Arthur myself. Take me to him."

"I am afraid I can't do anything about that. He won't meet you."

"What? He did not even leave a message for me, and sent you as his messanger."

"Stop making me seem like a servant. I am his boss. Let's see, thinking about it, he did leave a message. He said, 'If my purpose shall fail, then cease to protect me, my friend.'"

"Did he say that?"

"Yes, don't you believe me?"

"When did he start saying something so philosophical like this? Is it your influence?"

"You can say that."

"Remember Lucifer, Arthur may forgive you, but I won't."

"You can't do anything, you powerless creature, to me even if you hate me. Despise me, hate me, but in the end I will be the one whom you shall look up to."

"Get lost already, or kill me. I can't stay with you anymore."

"Arthur would be mad if I killed you, so I will let you go. Be respectful next time, brat."

"What happened to your wings? You look like a human."

"I am not obliged to answer, so I don't think I will."

"Remember, you have the upperhand today, but a day will come when the upperhand will be with me."

"Whatever, just let me leave already."

"Hurry up and leave!"

Five days later

Arthur was in the same white room as before. The only difference was that he was tied to a chair. In front of him another chair was kept, where his doppelganger was sitting.

"Is this another dream?"

"Don't regard me as a dream. I am reality."

"Shut up, this is my dream. What are you doing here? Get lost."

"What do you mean? I have given you power, and instead of killing Lucifer you try to abandon me?"

"What powers? Nothing has changed since I met you before. I don't feel any power, and besides Lucifer is probably a good guy. He griefs over the dead too."

"Good? He might become the best God this universe might get, but his methods are ruthless."

"What do you mean?"

"You have already abandoned me, and I don't feel like answering you. This is our last meeting, but if you decide to acknowledge me again then I shall meet you again."

Before Arthur knew, he found himself panting on the wooden bed he used to sleep on. He had stopped getting dreams in the last few days, but he just got one. He did not have the time to worry about that now.

"Damn. What a weird dream again."

That day was the day when all the countries on the planet shall be united, after Lucifer removed their border. That was the most non-violent way to do it. It would also make the United government to acknowledge Lucifer.
