Chapter 16- What's Your Age?

"Woah... That was so much information, my lord. How old are you? Ten Billion years?"

"I am not that old. I am a few billion years old, so you could say that I am the only person on this planet who can give you this information, because no one is as old as me."

"Can you tell me what happened to your mother, my lord?"

"She was a mortal, unlike me. Don't ask about her. Becoming a worthy God is my journey, and she is not a part of it."

"Sorry... My lord."

"Stop with the 'my lord' thing. I have had enough people who have called me that. I have no intentions of becoming someone whom you will serve, but I want to become someone whom you shall follow willingly."

Arthur looked in awe. Lucifer was not as evil as he had thought.

"Arthur."

"Yes?"

"Don't serve a false god, but follow someone who is worthy."

"I understand."

"I am pretty sure that you didn't have just one condition. Tell me about your second condition."

"You might not answer this one."

"Just speak it. I will decide what to do about that."

"Tell me... About your real motives."

"That's something I can answer easily. I have seen enough people suffer and die in the years I have been alive. God, whom you pray to is the one who is trying to dominate you. He gets his powers from your belief, and he is growing powerful at a considerable speed. At this rate he will just become a ruthless ruler whom no one can stop. I want to stop that before he attains absolute power."

"Thats not everything."

"What do you mean?"

"Tell me about Dagger of Truth."

"You are stubborn... Fine, let me tell you."

Arthur's eyes lit up.

"The Dagger of Truth was a divine weapon which was created by Obi, who is my father. It holds enough power to kill God. I don't plan on killing him myself, so I will make some mortal kill God with that dagger. When my father was on this planet, he forgot it here. He never cared to bring that back, so it is probably lying around here. The fact that the arrow of acceptance landed here shows that this dagger is somewhere in this country."

"What!? In this country? And why won't you kill him yourself? Thats suspicious."

"I have my own reasons, but the main reason is that I need to build trust among God's subordinates. They won't accept the rule of someone who directly killed their previous ruler."

Arthur did not know how to react. The reason was valid, but suspicious at the same time. All he hoped was that this would not harm normal commoners.

"Let's talk about my third condition, please."

"Sure."

"I want you to give Edward his vision back. I probably would never go back to him after working under you, so he should be able to live on his own."

"Don't worry, I knew you would say something like that so I already gave him his vision back."

Arthur was surprised.

"Really!? I am grateful."

"The next thing you want me to do is have a word with Edward about your situation, right? I just need to tell him about how you need to work under me for the greater good."

"How did you know?"

"Intuition. Anyways I will do it right now so that there would not be any hindrance to my plans." Lucifer got up to head to Edward.
