It was almost midday the next day when Alita woke up. She remained in bed for some time as the images of how she had spent her time yesterday replayed in her head.
She had stayed in Axel's room for most of the day, talking until when he decided to paint her nails while she applies makeup on him.
Her lips curved into a smile when she remembered the face he made when he saw his face after she finished working on it. Shocked could not adequately qualify it and for the first time in a long time, she released a hearty laugh.
It wasn't because she couldn't do perfect makeup, but a crazy idea popped into her head when she was about to start and she made him look like a horrifying demon instead of a handsome prince.
