Alita is dead

Meanwhile, back at the island, Axel spent some time in the bathroom trying to calm his raging emotions. He had made to leave the bathroom earlier, but when he reached the door, he heard Zica telling Asher that she wasn't sure the medicine administered will be of any help to Alita. 

He immediately abandoned his intention of leaving the bathroom and instead began to pace about trying to come up with the best solution to the impending doom about to befall them. If the medicine does not work and Alita is still breathing, then it simply means that she is transforming, and he doesn't know how things will turn out if that happens.

He spent about an hour more pacing around the bathroom, thinking, and plotting, but when he couldn't come up with anything tangible, he finally gave up and decided to return to the bedroom. As soon as he stepped out of the bathroom, he realized that Sienna and Uncle Ben had joined Asher and Zica in the room.
