Be brave for once, would ya? Do you want to spend the rest of your life living in fear? Is that what he would have wanted for you? Look at everyone else who comes here. They’re facing it, they’re owning their heartaches, and letting others in. They’re going about their lives and here you sit locked in yourself simply watching the world pass you by.

“Okay” The word popped out like it had a mind of its own.

When Caleb heard it, he smiled, his eyes sparkling, yet they still managed to hold a touch of sorrow. “That’s excellent, Leo. A good first step. Will you meet me here tomorrow morning, say about eight?”

Timidly, Leo nodded.

“Good. I look forward to seeing you.” Caleb stood. He began to walk off, stopping to call back over his shoulder. “And Leo? I know you can best the darkness. It won’t get the best of you.”
