Leo practically jumped off the couch and raced to the door, stopping dead in his tracks as his fingers wrapped around the cold knob. Could he really step out into the night and seek out a shooting? Did he want to thrust himself back to the chaotic scene that plagued him day and night, the one that forever alerted the course of things? He was safer tucked away in the peace of his apartment. Safer pretending the world could freely and easily go on without him. Safer not participating.
