Skylar's party

Something about her reminded him of Aurielle, he couldn't lay his hands on what he was feeling. So identical yet so different, he stared at her for a long time unknowingly, wondering if he had gone insane.

Daeva foolishly believed he was charmed by her looks as a blush crept up her cheeks and she smiled at him shyly like a school girl, who had fallen in love for the first time. She smiled at him, staring at his cruel god-like face, wondering which goodness she had done in her past life to meet such a person.

Tucking her swinging locks behind her ear, she gripped his arms more tightly, making a master plan in her mind of how he would belong to her solely.

"Are you new in this city? I have never seen you at any of the socialites' parties," Daeva questioned him out while they struggled their way through the crowded room heading to a private section of the building. She looked at his gray eyes and waited for his answer, seemingly excited as if she had won the lottery.

Lucien didn't give her a reply, he concentrated on finding his sister, who seemed to have reverted to old friends. Davea got a little grumpy at not getting an answer from him and simply put on airs when she saw the others.

"Lucien, there you are, I was looking for you, look who I found, it's Mark and James," Loren smiled at her brother, overlooking the shadow standing beside him.

"Looks like someone got themselves a new trophy, have you finally forgotten about the red eyed demoness who captured your heart?" James observed Daeva closely finding her to be quite familiar but he couldn't place where he had seen her.

"Thinking of it, she looks similar to the red eyed demoness, so you only found her replacement, how boring," Mark glared at Daeva and Lucien in an odd manner."

"Umm, why do we have to argue? It's been a long time since we all saw each other. Hi there, my name is Lorena, nice to meet you, what's your name?" She had only noticed her

"I am Daeva, my pleasure, are you his sister? You look like his female version" she asked, looking back and forth to Lucien and Lorena, finding their appearance undeniably similar.

"We hear that quite often, we are twins," Lorena grinned at her.

"No one is a replacement for anyone," Lucien replied quite angrily, pulling his arms away from Daeva. "Stay with Lorena, she will keep you company, I have something to do," he said walking away with Mark and James.

Seeing Lucien leave, Daeva put away her smile and stared at Lorena warningly, while distancing herself steadily. She wanted to spend time with that handsome guy and not with his twin sister,"she isn't a lesbian so why leave her with a girl whom she barely knew," she grumbled inwardly.

"Do you live in Skylid City or are you guys new here? It's the first time I am seeing you guys around here," she asked sweetly, glancing in Lucien's direction.

"Since that handsome hunk won't tell me anything, I will ask his sister out. She looks so dumb and vulnerable, and doesn't deserve to be his sister at all, what a waste of her pretty face. All I have to do is act nice and sweet."

Lorena believed Daeva was interested in her or rather in her brother but anyways she found her to be quite nice. "Oh, we don't live here, we came here for Skylar's party, he is a childhood friend of Lucien and I. Do you live here? I have never seen you around here either?"

"I live in Belvue City, on the customary I spend my weekends in Skylid City since a lot of my friends live here," Daeva said to her, twirling with the lock in her hair.

"No way, we also live in Belvue City, although we traveled out of the states for studying but we came back recently, due to my mother's protest. Now come to think of it, you look similar to someone who impacted our childhood in a great way. She was practically, like James and Mark would say, a red eyed demoness. She had given James a blue on their first contact because he smacked Lucien' s head. Let's just say, she was his protector, she couldn't stand it when anyone touched him. She would shave off your hair if you had some."

Lorena felt a sense of nostalgia run through her as she remembered their childhood full of adventurous incidents. Lucien was often mocked as a kid since he had rabbit teeth and chubby cheeks, ever since Aurielle came into his life, no one ever dared touch him or else they would face the wrath of the red eyed demoness. No one understood his addiction and possessiveness towards Aurielle other than she herself. Those two belonged to a world of their own and were made for each other. Sighing to herself, she looked at Daeva with pity, thinking at last you will only be a replacement for her, no one could ever match up to her position in her brother's heart.

Daeva seemed to be lost in her thoughts, not minding her surroundings anymore, "Why does this red eyed demoness sound like her cousin? No the chance would be too low, how can that girl who acts like a nun know a handsome guy like this? He would be blind to fall for her, she knows nothing about seducing boys and satisfying them." Giving herself assurance, she smiled and looked up, planning to leave Lorena. She was lame and couldn't give her real information about her brother. I might as well do that myself, no need to waste time and let another cheap girl snatch him away from me.

Without bothering to excuse herself, she walked away and didn't notice the waiter standing behind her back, holding a tray of drinks and crashed directly into him.

"Ahhhhhhhhh, you idiot," she screamed, slapping his face in anger. "Are you blind?"

"I am so sorry ma'am, I didn't see you coming, I am really sorry, let me escort you to the bathroom."

"Ma'am? Do I look that old to you, who hired such an idiot? He doesn't even know how to walk properly and what? You want to excuse me to the bathroom? For what? To molest me further?"
