I should rethink my allegiance with them

"I am the Fury they are talking about." Harper repeated. Raph was shocked at how this turned out. He was angry at a moment ago because he was aware that this sister was hiding something from him. It could be some troublesome prank or mischievousness that she and Lana did. But he did not think that the scandal itself had no meaning. After all, the persons in the matter were both the same person just with different names.

"You… Why don't I know?" Raph asked aggrievedly. How can he, the twin brother, who should be the closest to her not know about this? This blond bastard knew, Raph thought depressingly while giving stinky eyes to his friend. Carter looked at him helplessly.

"Well, you were never interested in this in first place and you were quite indifferent seeing that it was about my elective course. Also, we and Carter got to know each other well because I found him on Stag Oblivion Forum. So, of course he would know about my identity. Hence, stop giving those wild cat eyes to that poor soul. It looks like you will puff up in a moment and scratch him in the face." Harper answered him knowingly and snapped at him seeing his nasty glare.

"So, you can participate directly in Tournament, right?" Anna asked with dazed look on her face. It looked like she was still not recovered from the blow that Harper gave just a moment ago.

"Actually, Stag Oblivion Cultural League invited me to take part in the Tournament as an elite member. But school committee asked me to take part as well. Now, how can we disappoint our sweet innocent uncles of school committee? So, I had to explain this to the League through the executive who was entrusted to make formalities on behalf of me. Do you remember that I went to Coral City for a science meet? They invited me to ask about the matter of my refusal personally. I discussed the issue with them and they were quite happy that I would take part in the Tournament, no matter with which identity." Harper explained the cause and effect.

"Oh… I remember that you were quite tired and drained after that trip. This explains. There was a rumor in the art class that those scientists and math enthusiasts were bloodsuckers. They would drain your energy while talking nerdy." Lana quipped. Everyone snapped their head at her.

"What?" Raph laughed at her crosstalk. The other three who were related to science field were stumped and rethinking their life choices.

"Where did you hear that." Anna asked with shock.

"I'm not a vampire…" Carter mumbled.

"Hailey was talking about her boyfriend who gave her inspiration for your Halloween concept. She was giving you an atmosphere of the dark concept with that manner of wattpad talking." Harper pointed out expressionlessly.

"Oh. That is why. But why were you so tired?" Lana asked again innocently.

Harper hated iron for not being steel. Why are you so desperate on bringing my tough impression down? Where is our comradeship? Comrade Svetlana is really letting her down.

"Do you think it's so easy to handle those old geezers of League?" She asked back with a hint of annoyance.

"Right. Teacher Howard is also annoying. Last time he told me to draw nature. I drew backyard of your villa with sunrise. Do you know what he commented? He said he wanted real nature. Not a manmade nature. Now tell me, how can a sunrise be manmade? That snarky old man! We had so many quarrels after that…" Lana blew her cheeks as she narrated.

"Lannie, did you tell him that it was a painting of sunrise?" Anna asked her with big eyes with a hint of smile in her voice.

"Goodness. I didn't." Lana widened her eyes with harsh realization.

"We were so busy quarrelling, we forgot to discuss the concept."

Everyone laughed at her words. She and her teacher are both the same. Problematic artistic souls.

"So, we don't need to do anything, right? About that post." Carter mentioned.

"Yeah. I just received a message from Mr Genesis, the executive from League. League will handle the problem with forum. Results are tomorrow, so it should not be a problem. And those old geezers of League have many connections. So Jury should also know about this matter." Harper replied letting them have a breath of relief.

"Young master, young lady, dinner is ready. Old master and old lady is waiting for you all in the dining hall." Butler Simon's voice came from the entrance of gazebo.

"Oh. It's already dark. We didn't even remember the time while talking. Let's go." Harper murmured.

Everyone stepped up after Harper, following Butler Simon to the Manor. Even though it was dark, the lights in the gazebo were so bright that they did not even feel the change in time. There were light poles all around the boundary wall. Bright white halo pressing down on the floor in large radius from each light pole made the whole compound of Vlahos Manor shining in soft light. White walls of manor looked like they were made of lustrous marble. All the balconies were illuminated with soft golden light as the tiny chandlers were turned on in the evening.

"Grandpa, grandma, we are here. We were so engrossed in our chat we didn't remember the time." Harper ran to her grandparents who were leisurely sitting on the head seats at the dining table and reading newspaper while commenting on this generation's forwardness. As if they did not have fully blown affair for three years before their marriage. And the both decided to marry because Karen got pregnant with Andrew. Hypocrisy is in the blood of every generation. It is probably the genetic property of Homo sapiens.

"Ah. Even children are here. Where is Davis? Call that a**, Simon. Children are hungry. We don't need to wait on him if he wants to make that bloody fashionable entrance by being late." Greg barked out while ruining his granddaughter's hard to be tamed hair with ruffling it while marveling that it was very soft and silky and it felt great to ruffle it. With a high sounding slap in his wrist by Karen, he let go of his granddaughter's hair. Harper narrowed her eyes at him and silently messed the long scarf wrapped around his neck with perfection to a casually hung on the shoulder shawl. Greg looked at his granddaughter with a look of betrayal and then with a stinky eyes same as Raph.

Others calmly took seat beside them laughing silently and chatting with each other. Kary asked butler Simon if the dinner was ready. A servant came to the entrance of dining hall to inform that Mr Davis had arrived.

"Oh. Perfect timing. Let him come in straight here." Kary told him as she dismissed butler Simon to look in the kitchen.

"Good evening Kary darling. How are you, my dear Greg? I seem to have heard a rumor that you are entertaining very important guests. I have come to rob some of your hospitality for them. Ah… What a delicious smell. As expected of Loris! Worthy of being a royal chef." A masculine happy voice echoed from the hallways to the entrance of the dining hall.

"Don't be too familiar." Greg snapped.

A tall slender man with elite persona stood at the entrance with a silly smile on his face. He was still wearing a three piece suit with a badge of department, which could make his appearance solemn and elegant. But the childish smiley face did not match the elegant persona. He took large strides with slight bounce to the dining table and sat beside Raph who was sitting beside Harper.

"So, what is the dinner? Ah, Raphael! Nice to meet you buddy. I caught a rumor that you came with your friends to visit your grandma and grandpa. Last time I met was at the Royal Opera House with your father. You were almost eight years old. So chubby and cute you were! Now look at this. Lifting, huh? Do you gym?" Mr Davis squeezed Raph's upper arm and said excitedly.

"Hm. Well, they left for honeymoon so we came here on vacation." Raph smiled and did not say much. Greg's face turned indifferent listening to Mr Davis mention his good for nothing son. This time Karen was also expressionless. And teenagers were angry for their best friend as well.

The joyous atmosphere took a gloomy turn visible to naked eye. Mr Davis, of course, had a high EQ and understood that he slipped out something unneeded. Again. He bit his tongue for being disobedient over and over again. Hah, what a troublesome matter.

"Ah, Raph. Won't you introduce your friends to me? I got to know that you want to make a project with them on Modern Farming. Great choice ah…" Mr Davis tried to mend the atmosphere with an ugly funny smile.

Raph wrinkled his brows. What project? Modern Farming? Why doesn't he know about this? Who told this funny guy that they are making a summer project? Why do I not know anything in this group? Am I even part of this? I think, I should rethink my allegiance with them. But, do I have another choice? This is all the fault of that little monster, known as my sister. Always being secretive with me. Hmph. Anyway. Let's introduce them first.

"Well, this is Svetlana Dunkeld, you can call her Lana. Beside her is Annaelle Pouskin. We call her Anna. And that dumb looking guy over there is Carter Vallejo. We call him Carter, simply." Raph introduced them one by one in short. Carter who was playing with his spoon narrowed his eyes at his friend. Who are you calling dumb? Raph in turn poked his cheek with his tongue and supported his chin on his left palm with his elbow resting on the table. Indicating, bored with your drama. You hid this matter from me first. Carter sighed helplessly. Ah. This guy will hold the grudge forever. Who made him so vindictive? Uncle Andrew for sure. Look at the mess he made!

"And guys, this is Mr Johnathan Davis. Mayor of the Silver Fort Town. He served in State Administration for five years and then took over this position and is serving for last two decades." Raph faced his friends and introduced Mr Davis in turn.

"Oh, come on. You can call me Uncle John. Calling me Mr Davis is too formal you little kids." John laughed loudly. The 'little kids' looked at each other and said, "Hello, Uncle John" very cooperatively.

"Ah. I thought you had four friends with you. Don't mind, I got to know from town people. They saw that Roman escorted you here in his Jeep. Who is the one?" John asked in confusion. Greg, who was watching this coughed with a cold face.
